New Canaan Toy Store

My kids shop there regularly ignoring the poor customer service and high prices. They went two times in one day for snap poppers which the box says 3.99 but the second time the guy said 5.30 with tax. If you need to «accidentally» charge kids too much you should not be working there. I then called and the guy said he wasn’t the one that did it 5 minutes latter. Nice selection of toys, but absurdly high prices. They charge 265 for a Lego set available for 199 at the Lego store in Danbury and 150 on Amazon… buyer beware.

If you need a time, be it the new «it» item or an oldie like Lionel trains, this store has it, or will take the time to find it for you. This is a staple store in New Canaan than is my go-​to store for any kids gifts. The new location is rights next to CVS so you can park in the back parking lot or on the street and not have to fight for a spot on Elm Street. They have an amazing selection of toys and are always getting in brand new items. The owner is also really great at ordering specific items for you and his prices are resonable and I love supporting local merchants.
This store also gift wraps so it is perfect when I am running late to a birthday and need to pick up something really fast. They wrap everything! Also, if you just have no time, they have curb service where you call ahead, give the age of the kid and the price you want to spend on a gift. The staff gives you a few suggestions and then they wrap it and ring it up for you. You never even have to get out of the car because they bring it directly to the empty spots outside the door. The staff are knowledgeable about the products with great suggestions for all ages. They are also local students and are great at interacting with customers. They have the best customer service, especially with a staff of predominately high school students.
Come to this store with any toy wish and they will find it, wrap it, and give it to you with a smile which is a rare thing to find these days.
