Well to start this place did not get my business and I am sure glad they didn’t. The sad part is they are right up the street from my parents house which I have now moved out of. I didn’t have much to move just a bedroom suit and a few boxes. When my mom called she stated it was going to be the bedroom suit and roughly 8 or 9 boxes and was quoted a price. I then decided to move all the boxes except for a few so my mom called back to say they would be moving less items and instead of quoting my mom a cheaper price the man on the phone raised the price because he said that he misquoted her originally. My mom questioned how the price could go up and he proceeded to say «this is the price and you can hang up on me I don’t really care». Talk about some classy customer service, needless to say I had no problem finding another company to move my items. If you want a good moving company that is extremely reasonable and timely, call Hindman Moving & Storage in Zelionople you will not be disappointed!

I hired Apollo Moving & Storage for a job this past month in October of 2014 to move my furniture and other household goods out of my Apartment into a storage unit as I was changing job locations and moving out of state. Overall it was a very good move and I would recommend them to anyone looking to hire them. Don’t just take my word for it, the Better Business Bureau (BBB) gave them an A+ rating, thats the highest rating a company can get.
The moving team for my specific move consisted of Hutch, Joe, and Frank, Hutch was their leader and was very knowledgable of the moving process. They arrived on time as scheduled, thats the first thing they did right. The next thing they did right was they packed every box properly and professionally, every box they packed was sturdy, thoroughly padded, and not over or under loaded. There was absolutely no damage done to my things or the apartment building while they were unloading it. Timing wise, they did everything as close to the estimated time as they possibly could. The job did go half an hour over but that was largely due to learning that my storage unit was on the fifth floor of the facility, That was an unexpected complication I did not learn of until we had arrived at the storage facility. They worked well as a team, there were a few minor miscommunications that caused some things to be moved twice but that would be my only criticism of their work. Overall, I was very pleased with their work in that everything fit in the storage unit I reserved (I was concerned my unit was undersized), they took the steps to get my tempurpedic mattress as flat as possible in the storage unit without losing any floor space, and all of my stuff arrived perfectly in one piece.
As far as going with this company is concerned, they weren’t the most expensive movers and they were not the least expensive movers either. The estimator Denny Ott had undercounted a few boxes that would be used to store paintings which caused an overage in the initial price. The moving team listed above was unhappy to see an increase do to that miscount and tried to make up for it on the other boxes as best as possible. The way the pricing works here is you are charged for every box they give, and every box that gets packed. You are not paying an hourly rate until everything in the house is packed and ready to be loaded onto the truck. The hours they give you in the estimate includes truck loading, transportation, and truck unloading. Overall, the estimate in my case had a price difference of $ 150 total increase but I was not as worried seeing the general job they did. One will get what they pay for in hiring this company, the job they do is worth every penny, you can hire craigslist movers who arent as professional for a third of the rate and they will do more damage, if you hire Apollo Moving & Storage, you will get an excellent job done.

Do NOT use this company — Denny came out to give us an estimate, and then they charged us DOUBLE for packing. This is after he walked around our house for an hour and opened practically every cabinet. How do you miss the estimate by 50% — sort of crazy!!! And, our weight was 2,000 lbs less than the estimate (we knew we would be leaving some items), so it’s not that we added anything after the estimate. You have been WARNED!

The movers did a good job packing up my things well. They were a bit slow in packng the truck and unpacking. All were very friendly and they showed up on time.
