Absolute Safeguard

I would recommend Absolute Safeguard to anyone buying a house. Being a first time home buyer, I did not know much about the process. Dino took me all through the house and answered all of my questions. He was very thorough. I received the inspection the next day. I will use him again in the future.

We recently had a home inspection with Dino. He was extremely helpful and thorough. He walked us though every inch of the house and was able to answer all our questions. We felt he above and beyond making sure we understood all the features of the home and what items we should consider changing/​fixing as well as items to watch. We would definitely recommend Dino and Absolute to our friends.

My husband and I purchased a home about a year ago. Dino was the inspector. He missed several major items in the inspection report (knob and tube wiring, broken ventilation fans, broken windows, leaky radiator valves, carpenter ant damage to our porch. He also allowed the homeowner and 5 family members to be present during an inspection that I was paying for. I contacted him to let him know and he was very rude and offered to send me a couple of electrical outlets. After several months of obtaining bids, we went to court and asked for the money for the 11k in repairs. The judge sided with Dino because we had paid for the inspection which we were required to do to obtain the report. There are so many disclaimers in the report that it pretty much says that he is not responsible for anything that he misses. The disclaimer statements also note that he is not a contractor and that licensed professionals should be contacted for concerns. The state of PA doesn’t even require that inspectors be licensed. Do yourself a favor and inspect the house yourself. If you see anything that is concerning, call a licensed electrician, plumber, etc for a bid. You will save yourself lots of money and time. This is not to say that all home inspectors are worthless, but this guy is. If you are even thinking about paying him for an inspection, ask to see his contact/​inspection report upfront. You’ll be shocked by how many outs this guy has given himself and he needs them because he is worthless.

I would 100% recommend Absolute Safeguard to anyone buying a home! I have used them twice on both homes I looked into purchasing. Dino is very thorough and doesn’t miss a thing! Being a first time home buyer I did not know very much about the details of homes. He was able to explain everything in very simple, easy to understand terms and answered every question I had. Dino is quick and gets your report back the very next day. I will continue to use Absolute Safeguard on every home I purchase in the future!

I highly recommend Absolute Safeguard for a property inspection. We used them on an investment property we are purchasing in Pittsburgh and Dino went over everything in the house thoroughly from top to bottom. He then explained his concerns in a very easy to understand manner. He was also willing to answer my hundreds of questions as he went through the property. Dino was very friendly and approachable while also being completely professional. He issued his written report very quickly — less than 24 hours later.

We had our house inspected by Steve. It is our first house so we are pretty clueless about maintenance and what to look for. Steve put us right at ease with his patience and knowledge.
