What a pleasant stop today. Got the pulled pork sandwich and ribs. I am always like a clean place and this is one of them. Walking in a pleasant hello and explanation of the menu. Brief description of the offerings and instead of a hard sell, offered the modest priced food. Very friendly as I stubble over myself while looking at the menu on the wall. Not only was there a hint of smoke in the air but both of my selections had the same. I like where I can still have the smoke in the meat without the sauce covering it. A pleasant smoke taste, mild sauce with little hints of sweet and bite. The meat was moist, tender and cooked just right. The after taste was pleasant, clean and memorable. Nice hidden gem to visit. It seems the only place to sit and eat is a couple of tables outside. I ate in my car and don’t consider this a reason to knock this place.

Ms. Fay(I may be spelling it wrong!) was a delight as she navigated us through her thoughtfully prepared Filipino dishes, proudly proclaiming, «Home made!» with a beaming smile. Everything from the pulled pork to the ribs, Kabobs, kielbasa and sides of potato salad and macaroni salad were incredibly yummy and worth the trip!

I love specialty food stores with any selection of authentic ethnic groceries. This place has a lot of great Filipino items: frozen cassava macapuno ice cream ube popsicles salted duck eggs frozen blood dried salted fish shrimp paste bags of sticky glutinous rice shrimp chips Mochiko glutinous rice flour Mama Sita’s sauce seasoning packets cans of coconut milk canned jackfruit cold cans of coconut juice drinks pancit noodles & seasoning candy & cookies Pretty cool! We came here to try their bbq, & I’m sad to say that I wasn’t super impressed with it: Brisket — a boiled texture, which isn’t my thing. I always request fatty parts, and they were nice enough to give me as much of it as possible. But the leaner parts were way too lean for me. If you like your brisket leaner & a more boiled texture, you may feel differently about it. Wings — flavorful, sticky with a nice sauce, i liked these better than the brisket Beef Rib — big, meat falling off the bone. The meat itself didn’t appeal to my tastebuds, and I’m not sure why. We didn’t try the sides, but based on the meats I wouldn’t come back for the food, I’d come back for the groceries!

Awesome pulled pork sandwich! It looks dicey when you pull up, but don’t be afraid… it’s good.

What a stellar little hidden gem! We stopped here on our way back down to Virginia, and this place was so much better than we expected! We just happened to turn into the first place that caught our eye when we started getting hungry, and we were pleasantly surprised to discover that this isn’t your typical BBQ place; they serve both American BBQ and delectable Filipino dishes(adobo, caldereta, etc). I ordered a half BBQ chicken, and my husband ordered a beef brisket sandwich. Both were melt-in-your-mouth delicious! Masarap! We also stocked up on Filipino cooking supplies from the grocery section, since it’s hard to find sinigang base, shrimp paste, Mama Sita’s BBQ sauce, and ube in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. Completely delighted with our experience here, and we’ve now saved this location on our Unilocal so we can revisit the next time we’re road-tripping up and down the East Coast.

Any place that takes the time to not only chat with their customer but these gracious people actually opened their locked door after close of business to accommodate 2 hungry first timers. Great little place with all kinds of gems to buy other then their hot food. OK speaking of the food, tangy but savory sauce, meats cooked to perfection and quite a variety. One of those stops you just might pass by if you’re not familiar with the place… well don’t, you won’t regret it. Closed on Mondays…

Still open despite Unilocal saying it is closed. Same sweet proprietors. They kept the store open so we could buy something even though it was closing time.
