I lived in the area for over eight years now and tried all Chinese restaurants/carry in the area. I would agree it’s not the cleanest most comfortable restaurant in the area to eat in but their food quality is excellent and is reasonably priced compared to the rest. What’s important here is the taste of the food and no one around compares to them. I use carry out only.

I am vegetarian and was glad to find lot of options and everything I had was so deliciouso that I Would certainly come back. Mediterranean falafel wrap and Philly dank and the flat bread all were great and to top them off was lemon dessert and chai tea on crack(with expresso)

Every time I’m in New Freedom(and anytime I have visitors) I make sure to go to the Rail Trail Café! The food is always delicious and the employees are cute, fun & friendly. The head chef studied at Le Cordon Bleu and brings an extra delicious touch to each recipe, including the one of a kind seasoned popcorn that comes on the side of meals. They also make a special effort to buy local ingredients which I so appreciate in a small community. Hands down, best food in New Freedom!

What a wonderful lunch we had today! I had the special which was turkey, craisins, avocado and the best goat cheese I have ever eaten. My hubby had the Basil chicken salad sandwich with lettuce and tomato. He said his sandwich was very tasty too. The owners try to use local foods in all their offerings. The ice tea is home made and the coffee is delicious. All the staff are pleasant and friendly. The café was very clean. Being right on the rail trail the decorations are train memorabilia. There are photographs of the café and the Steam into History Train around the café. Treat yourself and go have breakfast or lunch. We will be back!

Tried it for the first time today. Very impressed… Had a great bagel and egg sandwich and coffee. I will definetly be back. If I could change one thing it would be to offer a less dark roast coffee. I like my coffee black but don’t care for darker roasts…

One of the best restaurants the area. A bit pricy, but the food is absolutely delicious. If you stop by, the mixed berry smoothie is one of the best I’ve ever had, but the green smoothie is something you won’t find in many places in the area and it’s great. Coffee is a bit meh if you’re wanting straight espresso or a true macchiato(A real one! And not the Starbucks latte macchiato!), but the option to get coconut/almond milk in your latte is fantastic. Brewed coffee is great, lattes and chai on crack are fully recommended. As far as wraps, there are lots of gluten-free and vegan options, but I personally love the Phatty Dank and the Freeloader. Essentially, you can’t go wrong here. Best food in town.

We were biking along the NCR trail and stopped in for a bite to eat. The café is in an old train station and much of the décor matched he theme. We had no idea what to expect — and were blown away! There were some interesting choices on the menu and the food was amazing. We were there with our young daughter and she gobbled up the egg and cheese sandwich. I had the grilled cheese and my husband had a wrap. The popcorn was tasty and a special treat. I would go out of my way to eat there again. Super friendly staff rounded out the great experience. These folks got it right.

I just enjoyed a Hobo wrap at Rail Trail Café. The generous portion was delicious; next time I might split one. The setting was charming, the staff friendly and the location is great, right on the Trail. I will plan future outings around a stop there.

Really excited to have found the Rail Trail Café. If you live around here, you know the options can be limited — especially for the health conscious and vegetarians. Met a group of friends here for lunch and had a great time. The food was stellar(we ordered veggie wraps and green shakes) and I am a sucker for popcorn(which came as a side.) But the menu is full of items for the non-veg heads too. Everyone seemed to love everything they ordered. Great atmosphere and the owner is really nice. Completely friendly and accommodating and you can’t beat the Rail Trail on a sunny day –especially now that there is awesome food and drinks available in that area. It also looks like the owner is trying to plan some events with music and outdoor seating for the summer — so definitely a great addition to the area!
