Shake Shack

Upon arriving, I studied the menu, and ordered the Chicken Shack and a cheese fry to share with my husband. The chicken sandwich was very flavorful, a bit greasy, but I would order it again.
The cheese fries were amazing. They skimp a bit on the cheese but eh…
Also, the burgers and sandwiches are not shareable sizes, so I would order your own if you go.
Its nothing I would write home about, but if you’re looking to satisfy a rumbly tummy, it does the job.

Hard to go wrong with Shake Shack.

Burgers are solid. Love the shack sauce. Had the cheese fries and for some reason the cheese sauce tastes funky. We also had the Chicago dawg, which wasn’t bad.

Ate here today. It was a pleasant change from the locations in NYC. They were much less busy and the food is exactly the same. They have some nice big tables next to outlets I haven’t seen before. You can charge up while you eat.

Momentary pleasure, followed by incredible guilt, eventually leading to cancer. I have no shame, I love Shake Shack, all Shake Shacks really, and this no location is no different.
Whether it be drunken adventures in NYC, feeling lazy and not wanting to cook dinner, or when I’m in New Haven — I find it irresistible not to visit and indulge. As one of two (the other being in Westport, CT) locations, Shake Shack is always a treat.
Fast-​casual, hip, gourmet — whatever twist you want to put on Shake Shack, they’re take on burgers and frozen custards is top-​notch. Service is friendly, price point is reasonable. If you’ve never been, opt for smokeshack or shackstack, a shack-​cago dog, fries (with cheese on the side) and one of their shakes — you won’t regret it!
Open everyday at 11am, they close at 10pm normally and 11pm on Friday and Saturday.

Delicious fun! I’ve gone twice since I moved back to CT, and each time is a treat. Fast service despite the crowds. Love the new chicken sandwich. Thanks for making lunch times with my Dad a nice treat. Awesome customer service too.

I’m sure I’ve reviewed SS on another location so the same goes here. Hot dogs are my fav and crinkle fries. I’m all about the crinkle fries. So glad they brought them back. :)

One of the must-do’s on my brother’s New England list was Shake Shack. His friends had insisted that he try the burgers and shakes, so as to compare to In-​n-​Out.
We shared a burger and black-​and-​white shake. The burger was good — a bit greasy, but a good quality patty on a bun with fresh toppings. I was unimpressed with the shake, but my brother was a big fan.
Verdict:
Good, but not my favourite burger place.

This Shake Shack tops the rest, and I’ve been to their locations in Downtown Brooklyn, Madison Square Park, and Grand Central Terminal. Why is that you ask? Because they consistently have Peanut Butter milkshakes on their menu, which are simply divine. AND, they have a shuffle board table. What more could you ask for from what is basically a trendy fast food place?
huge perks of pb and shuffleboard aside, the service is on par with other locations in being both friendly and quick and other peer restaurants, plenty of seating room, clean bathrooms. I dig the buttery buns, but that’s because I enjoy a good gluttonous meal. Bottom line, you get what you expect from this chain – utterly delicious fast food that’s in that In-​n-​Out & Five Guys bracket, but this location steps it up.

This is one of my favorite go-​to spots in New Haven. It’s really great that this chain has been spreading across the northeast because it gives a great burger option for people who want something fresh but reasonably sized.
The burgers are fast food sized, so you will not feel sick after finishing one, as you would at Plan B or Prime 16. They taste great and have very fresh toppings, and the specials are usually very on point.
My favorite part of Shake Shack are of course the fries and the shake. I’ll admit I’ve gone in just for these two items. The shakes are thick and creamy, and the fries are crisp and delicious.
This place is always clean and the service is usually fast. I’ve never had a bad experience here.

Wer Lust auf Burger, Pommes u.ä. hat, der sollte hier einmal reinschauen. Wie so oft ist es nicht der billigste Burgerladen, aber dafür ist die Qualität hervorragend! Das Fleisch des Burgers war so wie man es von zuhause kennt. Man schmeckt auch, dass hier ohne Zusatzstoffe gekocht wird. Man hat nicht das Gefühl man muss immer weitermachen bis man übersättigt ist. Und ohne Schnickschnack! Die Pommes mit der Käsesoße sind ein Traum. Wer Durst hat, der kann sich kostenlos kaltes Wasser nehmen. Nach der Bestellung erhält man ein kleines elektronisches Gerät das vibriert wenn das Essen fertig ist. Alles kam zügig, heiß und lecker. Zum Abschluss noch ein leckerer Milchshake und die Reise geht weiter.

I like to tell myself that I go down to New Haven to visit my friend. But deep down inside I know I go to New Haven so I can go to the Shake Shack.
Being from the Midwest, I never knew of this magical place until recently. I read about it somewhere, and was for some reason I became obsessed with the idea of going to a Shake Shack. After I went to a Shake Shack, I became obsessed with it!
This was the second Shake Shack I visited, and is the closest to me geographically. Thus, it has quickly become my most frequented Shake Shack. I love the atmosphere. Being located in a college town, it’s very lively, filled with bright-​eyed youth downing their burgers and shakes. There’s a foosball table, as well as some other games in the dining area. The dining area itself is expansive, with plenty of seating inside and limited outdoors seating.
The service is also great. The people are nice and friendly, and very professional with their service. They take great precaution when making dessert items with allergens, i.e. anything that contains nuts.
The food, well, it’s like any Shake Shack you’d go to. Let’s be honest, you go to chains for the consistency in the food and for the self-​hate you feel after eating it.

Instead of the Shackmeister dog I got the Shackmeister BURGER– cheddar, american cheese sauce, & crispy ale-​marinated shallots. I really enjoyed this burger, overall a good melt in your mouth burger. Also got the cheese fries to see what the rave was about. I can see how people call them addicting because they are greasy crispy crinkle cut fries… what more can you ask for? Cheese fries were good but average. Nothing out of the ordinary. Price for my meal is still a drop dead figure so that’s why I tend to stray away from SS
