I always get the chicken souvlaki on a pita but it’s so tasty I haven’t branched out to try anything else. Garlicky (Tzatziki sauce… spelling) that comes on the side is delicious. Go here and try the chicken souvlaki, you won’t be disappointed.

This is the place we order from, when we want pizza. We love the crust. It isn’t deep dish, but it is a little thicker than the thin New Haven pizzas, and has a really good taste. In fact, I usually stop eating pizza when I get to the part where there is no sauce or cheese left, but with Spooner’s I eat the crust plain. We usually get either a plain cheese or a cheese with veggies. We also get the garlic bread, sometimes with and other times without cheese, which is tasty. We have also ordered entrees such as ravioli or baked ziti, and they were quite good. This is a perfect «neighborhood» place. Also, the guys on the phone and the delivery people are very nice and friendly.

I go here very often and enjoy it! good food– wraps, subs, salads (i’ve actually never had their pizza!). they have fast service and it is usually pretty consistent. some of the ladies that answer the phone have poor phone skills but the owners on the other hand are very friendly!

Convenient restaurant in the Westville area of New Haven. Did not seem very busy, which was nice because I could order right away. Customer service is good. Pizza is decent and I actually thought it was above average for New Haven. Good price for the amount of pizza. I’ll definitely go back at some point.

We stopped here on our trip from NYC to NH. The guy working the register was very friendly and even turned on the Yankee playoff game for us while we waited.
I tried a slice of pizza and a small Italian sub. The pizza was «Connecticut Style» (which I have never had before) and was not very good (not sure if it was the style or just their pizza I did not like). The sub was good but nothing to write home about.
