Employees are younger kids too busy chit-chatting and not working. Waited over 8 minutes for my breakfast sandwich with no one else in line while 5, YES5 employees stood around and did absolutely nothing.

I honestly do not know which location I hate more– this one, or Hamden’s location(see that review… ugh) This place is just filthy. I can’t even get over the fact that during the day, they do not have any«barista» ATLEAST once go to the windows and clean them. On the way in, the handle to get inside is gross in and of itself, then you make your way to the counter– forget it. You can literally see every disease New Haven has to offer sitting right on the counter infront of you. The glass that surrounds this place is littered w/fingerprints, and filth. I did NOT order anything, I was w/a friend who was grabbing some chi latte make whatever you want to feel important type drink. No way would I ever get ANYTHING from this location– even the filth coming from the area where you prep your drinks(sugar, milk etc) was sticky looking and nasty.

So management clearly enjoys all the squatters on the steps. Then there’s the interior designers who rearrange the furniture so they can charge their phones, prop up all their mixed mateched bags and share useless banter on who is in or out of jail. I get that being aimless is a thing. That people need to be warm. But do you have to take over the one place that makes great coffee. Why can’t I ever find a seat? So since I get tired of asking these questions I just don’t go. Ever.

The staff is always really friendly. Starbucks really isn’t my fav place to get coffee, because it’s generally not that good, but because of how it’s everywhere… Convenience. However I really like the almond croissant and the banana nut bread. Only negative thing is how disgusting the bathroom is. I see they keep certain areas clean but overall it’s not very usable.

The service here is solid and they sell the usual Starbucks fair. Its centrally located, right next to the park, but the atmosphere is anything but cozy. It’s hard to put my finger on what brings the atmosphere down, but my money’s on the windows all around the building. For some places, this might be a plus, but at this particular intersection, you’d rather they filled those windows in. The general atmosphere is closer to ‘Amtrak station lobby’ than cozy coffee shop.

Not the nicest of Starbucks. Staff was a little rude, and the store was me very clean. The place smelled like cleaning solution. That being said, the coffee was the same as any other Starbucks. I would not choose this one to spend an extended period of time in.

This is a clean, spacious and well-used Starbucks. They seem to keep an adequate stock of food choices given that it gets really crowded, but after lunchtime it starts to thin out. No complaints about the drinks or food. Service could be a little faster. The staff are just okay. They don’t seem especially friendly or attentive. Maybe that’s just CT? Also, the restrooms are clean, but there’s almost always one of the two that’s out of order at a given time. Because of the high foot traffic here, they should pay more attention to that.

Vastly undercooked breakfast sandwich. Bit into it and thought: why is this so… chewy?

I love this place. All of the baristas are great. They know a majority of the clients and what they want before they even make an order. This Starbucks is always clean. The service is prompt, and the coffee is always fresh. another thing I like about Starbucks is if you are a member, you receive free refills on your coffee. How can you go wrong with that. Needless to say, I am a Starbucks junkie. I’m here so many times the baristas know me by name.

I love the vibe at this particular Starbucks. Many a times I had worked from home err this Starbucks and I can say it’s a descent place to get some work done. Abi and Joshua are great baristas and they have my ‘dirty Chai no water’ made to perfection always. I highly recommend these guys.

I like this Starbucks. It’s pretty efficient and the baristas are solid. The only issue I would have with this store is that some of the patrons are shady.

This is the worst Starbucks. One of the employees, perhaps the manager(?) runs it like her own living room. For the past 40 minutes since I’ve been here, she’s been sitting at a table carrying on *very* loud conversations with random people. She is so loud in fact, that her shrill voice is keeping me from doing any work… Hence the review. I did however learn that Starbucks employees are entitled to unlimited free drinks and that there’s a new location opening close by that has job openings for manager, so if you’re looking for work– apply! This was before she moved on to making fun of people crossing the street outside. Ridiculous. And all this while the store is filthy. Yes, I smell sh*t right now.

I’m really glad I don’t work within a block of this Starbucks anymore because their baked goods are always great. It’s hard to avoid the carbs when it’s nearby! They’re always well-stocked on cold beverages, pre-made sandwiches, and little salads or snacks. They sell out of their bagels quickly every morning for a reason — they’re very good. And their hot beverages are impressively consistent. Four stars because the service is always ever-so-slightly too slow; it seems like the baristas assume that everyone is planning to stick around once they get their drink, which is sort of counterintuitive given that it’s so close to all the courthouses and the Green.

This is a nice enough Starbucks. It has a corner location and is definitely nice looking on the outside and inside. I would say it is medium-large-sized — a lot larger than some of the hole-in-the-wall Starbucks out there, but not as much seating as some of the cafes, and I’d say that mainly has to do with its rectangular shape. I did see comfy chairs and there were a number of tables there — clearly a popular studying and meeting space for students. There were plenty of patrons on a Friday afternoon, and service was friendly and quick.

I can’t say enough good things about the people, service, and quality of this Starbucks in particular. They are in an extremely busy area and provide some of the best and fastest service I have ever seen. There are days where the patrons are less than perfect, but there’s little they can do about it. If you’re looking to have a private meeting with few distractions, I would try to find somewhere else though.

I’ve been to many Starbucks in my life, having lived in NYC and Boston, but this one is my favorite. It’s big enough for a group of people or quiet enough to bring your laptop and study. You already know about the drinks — standard. The place gets busy but it’s never too crowded. I prefer small cafes and non-chain coffee shops, but this one isn’t too pretentious.

admittedly, i am not a ‘starbucks person’ but prefer to stick with the local mom and pop coffee shops and niche roasters and funky cool cafes. but it was late at night and i will say i had just come from BAR and had a ‘few’ and wanted some coffee for the trip home and this place was open. It was kind of late and disappointingly all those funky cool indy coffee shops were closed so we ended up here and this Starbucks had a lot going on, big long table packed with Yale kids and their macs, big line of people getting caffeinated but it moved pretty quick. Kinda cool they have the Clover machine here too, and it seems like thats a good reason to go back.
