Just when you think it’s just booze, beers, & love able staff-there’s great food!!! I am so sad that I’ve been coming here since it opened & never used a fork! Their specials are delicious & their regular menu is affordable, original, & tasty. You won’t be disappointed!

That one bar every town should have. The food is great from your regular bar food to the daily specials. Great neighborhood sports bar to catch a game or two.

Went here last night with my brother to try and watch the UGA v USC game. Pleasantly surprised that the folks there had no problem putting it up on the big screen. Overall, this bar is a great place to watch a game – relaxed atmosphere, plenty of TVs, and great prices on drinks. The food is good bar food too, not sure I would rave quite as much about it as other folks on here. But, it hits the spot for a good price. Will have to come back to try the wings and check out the downstairs bar. Crowd there on a Saturday evening was solidly middle aged and solidly hilarious. Bartender was incredibly nice and we never had to wait long for service. Great dive sports bar through and through. Now I’ve just gotta check out their winter corn hole league.

A recent visit shows some noticeable change for the better. The lighting is way mellower, the food remains top notch, there was even a free drink offered, and the owner actually said hello to me with a very sweet and genuine smile. So I have to be fair and upgrade my review to four stars. I’ll still be coming back no matter what.

I absolutely love this place! I usually come here on Thursday nights to see Bobby! He is one of the friendliest most attentive bartenders to ever serve me. If your looking for great food and service in a casual environment check this place out. Try the ahi tuna while your there. You can thank me later :-)

This review is based only on the delivery because I have never actually been inside this place. We order from here usually at least once a week at my job. Typically we order off the daily specials menu. Everything I have ever tried here has been great!!! It is my favorite place to order from in New Haven. They often have french onion soup on their menu and it is great! I have also had beef stew, a pastrami melt, and a few different burgers. The guy who delivers is really personable and it typically arrives quick

This place has some of the best casual food in New Haven. Try the chicken parm! It is top notch. Great staff, fun friendly people, you will not leave disappointed. Read the negative review that compared it to the previous ownership(olde school) and true it definitely isn’t Olde School, but this is a good thing. Go have a beer, order some food and check the specials chef Ivan always serves up tasty meals!

This is a great space for hanging with some friends and having some inexpensive drinks. The bar is fun and I always have fun. I havent eaten here yet but plan to soon. Please give this place a try. The seem to have ironed out any kinks they may have had.

Good local place. Glad to have a Wooster Square bar again. Solid food, reasonable prices. But guys, the lighting is a big problem. Right now there are these fluorescent track lights pointed towards the bar. It’s enough to drill a hole in your retinas. Please get Christmas lights, candles, some plants, and light up your liquor from underneath or behind. Get a female decorator in there, or just ask some regulars. It’s missing the«homey» warmth we all want from our neighborhood local. Trust me.

I wanted to like this place but as other reviewers noted it has gone from a local bar with character to a commercialized bar with little to no flair. The staff was nice as were the locals. You can build your own burger and get all kinds of fried pub foods. But the on tap beer selection was 7 at most. Also… the bar was extremely loud! Apparently this is a place you want to go if you’re looking to do shots. Finally, I’m not sure if all the Three’s Company references are relevant. Bottom line: it’s just okay.

I was excited to try out this new restaurant in my area so stopped in one day for lunch. I got the penne ala vodka and it was phenomenal! I think probably the best I’ve tasted. The waitress told us how it was one of the chef’s favorite dishes to make and I could tell! I stopped in another time to check out the bar scene at night and was impressed! It was pretty crowded but in a comfortable way. There was a nice vibe. The bartender made me a delicious peach tea drink. A tall size for $ 6! Overall my experience at the Regal Beagle was very positive! I have already recommended it to my friends and will definitely be back soon!

Never written a Unilocal review before but I was so irritated by my visit here that i was compelled to create an account so I could vent… My boyfriend and I took a walk after dinner & decided to check out our new neighborhood bar so we dropped in for a drink. The lack of character, screaming drunks, and the 1,000 watt overhead lights didn’t even bother us. The bad review goes to the bartender who charged us $ 19.00 for 2 drinks. We asked for«tall» drinks(I have bartended for 14 years and expected to pay that). HOWEVER, he ran out of the liquor we asked for so we got a total of aprox 6oz of booze between the 2 of us and he filled the rest with juice. So shady. I guess he thought we were too involved in our conversation to notice…

The kitsch and hominess that was Olde School is now gone. The interior feels stripped and clinical. Not inviting at all. That being said, i’ve been here twice now and the service was iffy the first visit, but spot on the next. The first visit our waitress was wearing a shirt that said«I got boned», i had a hard time figuring out if it was supposed to be a knock off Hooters or Tilted Kilt. She seemed out to space, thankfully my next visit was much better. The food, is also hit or miss. I had an escarole & bean soup that was damn good, but the sausage & broccoli rabe sandwich that accompanied it was a sloppy mess. My next visit I had spinach & artichoke ravioli that was phenomenal. I think this place is new and may be experiencing some growing pains, which I hope they iron out, because I miss eating lunch at Olde School and it would be nice to have something comparable.

This place is a sad excuse for what it used to be. It seems like they«threw it together» at the last minute and put no time and thought into it. The menu is also not even close to what Olde School offered. Over all the place seemed empty with no vibe. It’s is truly sad what was done to a once epic venue. I give zero stars!
