What a great place! We’ve been there three times and enjoyed our meal each and every time! They have the best French onion soup I have ever had!!! Sharon, the hostess, is a blast too. Go! UPDATE: We have been at least seven times now and I would give it an extra star! Yes, it’s that good! Never had a bad meal. No joke. Servers Jensen and Jenn Rock. ITSOURFAVORITENOW!!!

This is one of the topmost restaurants we’ve been to, in Bucks County. What a fantastic experience!!! Great service, unique décor and wonderful relaxed ambience, mouth watering food in a beautiful location. Me and my wife went there for lunch on our wedding anniversary. One of the great choices I’ve made in recent time. This will be our go-to place for many years. We had their mushroom bruschetta for appetizer. It was heavenly!!! Made with truffle aioli, goat cheese and the warm garlic bread. it was incredible… We ordered mushroom carbonara and their house made veggie burger. Me and wife aren’t vegetarians, but it just so happened that we went that. We were pleasantly surprised that we made the right choice. The veggie burger is out-of-the-world. We have never tasted a veggie patty this good. Incredibly done, no additives, very filling, perfectly seasoned, all the good things you would expect in your food. The mushroom carbonara was so good. It is light and yet very satisfying.

Just outside the bustling madness of new Hope this rustic inn serves some of the best food in the area. Everything was well prepared, fresh and hot. From the fried cauliflower to the grilled Rubin everything was exceptional. To top it off our server Chris was attentive, knowledgeable and very pleasant. We may not be in the area much but when we are well be back here.

Food and service were great. We had turkey burger and fish and chips. All were nice, Cole slaw was excellent. Piano players was very engaging and fun. Has self parking on one side and valet on the other. Right across from the entrance to Bownans tower a nice place to visit with a great view. Admission to the for profit foundation is 6.00.

First off, loved the atmosphere! Talk about wood. It was very rustic and beautiful. Next, the waiter was a kind and gentle man. The food was outstanding. Good sandwiches and appetizers and desserts! All the food was divine. The live music really added to the atmosphere. Good waiter, good food, good feels. Let me tell you one thing: go here!!!

I came here for dinner and since it was a really nice day we ate outside. Love the atmosphere! They provide popcorn to munch on while you wait for your meal. They filled my Stella to the brim. The Mac and Cheese was very good but very heavy on the garlic. If you’re a garlic fan you’ll love it! I did not enjoy the fried calamari, unfortunately. It was coated in cornmeal and wasn’t coated thoroughly. It was also a bit bland. My turkey sandwich with bacon and cranberry mayo was great though! And the homemade potato salad was on the money. My friend really enjoyed her burger and fries. I’d def come back!

Good place, great wings with sauce, huge and cooked perfect. Burger was good. Almost dropped to three as the bartender had no personality but was not rude. Will go back for a dinner one day and see if dinner is just as good.

So first let me start by saying that this review started out as a 4 but I had to give it a 3 because of the service. We arrived late on a Saturday afternoon, around 2, perfect timing if you ask me because the lunch crowd was just thinning out. They do valet on the weekends and we were seated right away. The menu was small but everything sounded amazing. We wanted to start out with whipped ricotta but sadly, it never made it to the table. I think our waitress perhaps forgot to put in the order or she forgot to bring it to the table. Disappointing because we really wanted to try it. Another waiter brought out our burgers and those were amazing. We each are our whole burger. I got their house burger and the hubby got the black and blue burger. Definitely get a burger! Their drinks are strong too… just what one needs on a Saturday afternoon. The only disappointment was the service. There was hardly anyone at the place… us and two other tables… so I’m not sure why our app was overlooked and why drinks were not refilled. I will definitely be back and hopefully I can update my review!

Great local spot! We go here about once a month or so. We always go for a glass of wine and a burger. Recently had a burger with bacon, special sauce, etc. Wife had the turkey burger. Both were great! Excellent server! House Pinot noir was really very good! Onion rings that I got with my burger were a nice treat! Definitely plan to visit here again soon.

Came in for a drink and some live music and it was a really nice experience. A bit off the beaten path from the main area in New Hope however its just a few minutes down the road. Had a nice glass of wine at the bar, great old school ambiance and the food that others had looked and smelled delicious!

A true gastropub with a lifetime of original creations on the menu that rotate seasonally. The tap offerings are unique as well. The Vermont IPA was excellent. My favorites from this visit include the cauliflower goat cheese soup, shrimp appetizer, wild boar meatballs, calamari. I wish i could’ve tried everything on the menu. A true standout was the whipped ricotta with raw honey and aged balsamic. Owned and operated by locals for locals. Highly recommended.

We had lunch here last Sunday. It was pretty busy, but we walked in with no wait. The hostess was very welcoming and friendly. Our server was as well. He recommended the lamb burger. Based on the reviews I read of Bowman’s, I had the potato salad as a side. The lamb burger was awesome! It was sliced thin and super flavorful. The potato salad was good as well — to call it the best potato salad I ever had is a stretch, but definitely very good — well seasoned, potatoes cooked perfectly, and not too much mayo. Anyway, back to the lamb burger or sandwich, whatever it was, it was fantastic and moist and flavorful. I had half for lunch and half for dinner. Very filling. Would like to return.

With so many extravagant places to eat between New Hope and Peddler’s Village it’s hard to choose one final destination to enjoy a meal. Bowman’s was an unregretable choice. Once inside we were welcomed with a warm setting and booth seat in a much more privatized area away from the bar. He had the meatloaf in a red wine gravy, which was full of flavor, juicy and well-portioned. Alongside the meatloaf was mashed potato and green beans for the steeper price of $ 18. I relished in the $ 13 roast lamb sandwich on a fresh ciabatta roll. The portobello mushroom with goat cheese was a savory compliment to the lamb. On the side was creamy potato salad that was an added bonus. The server was fun to chit chat with and she seemed really interested in what we had done on our day trip. Besides that, we had an fun time filled with inside jokes and a tasty meal that I’d recommend. Since the restaurant is on a traveling route into/outside New Hope their isn’t street parking, but there are no worries since they have valet parking. Directly across the way is the Bowman’s Tower. I haven’t gone to see it but have heard it has an amazing view.

Monday night’s with Andy Prescott are the reason I love Bowman’s so much. Always fun, he’s an amazing piano player, I don’t care what the food tastes like, he makes it all worth it! Stop in on a Monday night to sing along. The restaurant itself and the menu were recently re-vamped and I enjoy the updates all around. The cuisine is simple American but they have a nice food selection and a two full bars. My favorite is the turkey burger. Turkey burgers can be so dry sometimes and the chipotle mayo they use always makes theirs great and never dry. The wine list isn’t amazing, but again, the full bar makes up for that, so I would always tell people to stop in to Bowman’s for some piano and a good meal.

We rediscovered this Bucks County gem earlier this year under its current ownership and I have to say we love it. The wait staff is personable, polite and happy to let you«camp out» after your meal to enjoy the live music that takes place most nights. The food is delicious, although I admit to being in love with their Turkey Burger so I tend to order that most times and haven’t fully explored the menu yet. However when I have put the burger aside for other offerings, I have yet to be disappointed. The music is always very good, and well worth the trip for that alone. Call ahead for reservations! They fill up fast. I would offer five stars except I think the wine list is a bit limited for a restaurant of this caliber. If management is reading this, please look into broadening your wine list. As someone who enjoys pairing great wines with my meals, I find I struggle to do so at this restaurant. Otherwise this is an outstanding place to try for lunch or dinner with friends.

A beautiful setting for a cozy meal, on a crisp fall night. Couldn’t ask for much more! My sister and I joined our parent’s for a relaxing dinner to celebrate their anniversary. We all had a great experience — the food, drinks, ambiance, and live music were all great. I ordered a cup of their French Onion Soup, which was rich, dark, and delicious. The broth packed a ton of flavor and the broiled cheese on top was crisp around the edges while remaining gooey in the center. For my entrée, I ordered one of the specials — a pan roasted Cobia with kohlrabi purée, black barley, and kale. The fish itself was well-cooked, but I was put off by the thick skin on top. It didn’t detract from my experience, but I would have preferred either no skin or for the skin to be even crispier. The accompaniments(purée, barley, and kale) were all really well executed and played nicely to the fish. Somehow, I was tempted by the dessert menu. I ordered the Blueberry cobbler, which was delicious and a perfect end to the meal. Service was friendly and attentive. Towards the end of our meal, a Jazz trio started playing live music in the bar area. They were great!

This place is very good and a lot of fun. The menu is delicious with lots of great options both traditional and little more inventive. The drink menu and wine list are also very good. We love the New York style cheesecake for dessert. They also offer Sunday brunch Very crowded on Friday and Saturday nights. You have to have a reservation then. Piano bar on weeknights which draws a very fun crowd.

One of my friends loves this place to meet for drinks and lunch when we’re in New Hope. The food and service have always been good the times I’ve been to Bowman’s Tavern and it’s nice to know you won’t be breaking the budget. I also like supporting the local restaurants rather than the chains whenever possible.

Went on a Sunday and was suprised to see valet. The place has a good vibe with live piano music. I didn’t like the lack of craft beer though. Good service. Tried the calamari and it was by far the best I’ve had. Order a strip steak as my entrée and it was also the best I’ve had although my girlfriend said she’s had better. Finished off with a crème brûlée dessert which was good, but I wish I went with the blueberry cobbler instead. Would definitely go back. A little pricey.
