Not the best of food. Plus ordered chicken parm and got veal. Also i asked for a bowl … so i put the spaghetti in it. start cutting up the what i thought what chicken. but took two bites of it and sent it back. The waitress asks me why i ate so much of it?. I pointed to my bowl of spaghetti and explain how all i really did was take my spaghetti off my plate and put it in the empty bowl she gave me. Maybe that’s why my plate looks emptier to you. They seem a little dirty. But it’s more of a bar to eat at i believe. Not a restaurant with a bar.

Best bar pie around. Eddies special with hot peppers is my go to pie. All their thin crust pies are delicious and never really dabbled with anything else on the menu.

Bonnie G. and I stopped for lunch after an appointment in the area. Been awhile since we ate there but we always liked their thin crust pizza. It was around 2:30 and we had the dining room to ourselves. We ordered an Eddies Special Pizza in large size and an order of Linguini with white clam sauce. The pizza was loaded with toppings and when you picked up the slice it didnt crumble like many other pizzas… stood firm on the thin crust and was outstanding! The pasta was also a hit… full of clam and perfectly prepared. With tip came in at about $ 40 which included one iced tea. We will be back to enjoy their other dishes for dinner.

This restaurant is so cool. It looks like an old mafia bar when you walk in. The dining area is non-descriptive. We had a regular pie, white pie and vegetable pie. The white pie was the best. I would definitely recommend that. We had mozzarella sticks and zucchini sticks. They were good. This is a fun place to go to but it is cash only.

I love this place, salad is fantastic, as is the eggplant parm and very thin crust pizza. I was sad when the Syosset location closed. If you want a different, thin crust pizza, this is the place!

The pizza is DELICIOUS! My favorite by far! The garlic bread is also prepared very well. I haven’t explored many other options here besides pizza. I agree with other reviews it needs an overhaul, it isn’t very inviting from the outside. The first time I went there I was actually afraid to open the door and head through the black curtain. It is cash only, I accept that but think it would be wise to get into the 21st century and accept credit cards. Make sure you put your seat warmer on because it’s so thin it does lose its heat quickly(if it is cool it taste delicious 2 minutes in the toaster oven) honestly you just have to look past the décor, the pizza is to die for!!!

This was the best bar pie I’ve had! Very thin crust and it was the perfect portion. It wasn’t oily and a good amount of sauce and cheese. Definitely will be back

Don’t eat in. I like their thin crust pizza, but this place smells bad. They need cleaning! I heard about their smell from my husband, and he had never went back there for long time because of smell until I asked him to take me to the place which serves thin crust pizza. We hoped they cleaned up since my husband went there last time and it wouldn’t smell any more, but there was no change. I liked their pizza and cappuccino which comes with brown sugar stick, but I don’t think I will eat in again unless they clean and remove the smell. If I go back there, I will order to go. They have good ratings and they must have been earning enough money to clean the place, so they should clean!

If I wanted tomato sauce on Matzoh I could of taken a trip to Israel… Don’t know what the big deal over this place is… The thin pie crust is tasteless and dry just like matzoh… I guess the secret to make the crust thin is to not let the dough rise… Please let my pizza go… Staff is friendly but get a little to familiar faster than they turn over the table since it only take 3 minutes to make matzoh.

Eddie’s has always been my favorite Italian bar-restaurant and go-to spot for a spot on Bar Pie. I love that they just fixed the place up and finally ditched that carpet they used to have in the dining area(that was honesty the one thing I had a problem with). Definitely get a Bar Pie with an Antipasto Salad — it’s a heavenly combo!

Eddie’s Pizza is a cool little pizzeria that apparently has been around for years. My boyfriend’s family that lives on Long Island go there all of the time and swear by it! Our most recent trip to Long Island, his family couldn’t believe that I had never tried Eddie’s, so they insisted that we all go for lunch one day. When first walking in, you notice all of the pictures on the walls of famous people that have eaten there with their signatures and saying how much they love Eddie’s. So at this point, you can guess I had really high hopes for the pizza. There were seven of us, so we ended up ordering four pizzas; two plain with just cheese, one with hot cherry peppers and black olives, and one Eddie’s special. The Eddie’s special has pepperoni, meatballs, green peppers, sausage, mushrooms, and onions. Now you may be thinking that 4 large pizzas for 7 people is a lot of food but it actually isn’t. The star of the pizza is their super thin crust and its delicious. By not having a super doughy crust, the flavors of the toppings really shine through. I did not try the Eddie’s special, but I had a couple of pieces of both the cheese pizza and the cherry pepper/olive pizza. Both were delicious and I was left feeling very satisfied but not overly stuffed(which is how I normally feel after eating pizza). Overall it was a really good experience and a must visit when on Long Island. I did not see the bill, but the prices on the menu seem on par with other pizza prices. I am definitely a fan!

Authentic thin crust pizza. You can’t get anything like Eddies pizza anywhere else on Long Island. I have been coming here for years and we always get the classic regular pie with pitchers of soda. Don’t ever change Eddies!

Had Eddies special Barpie and it was so good. I heard of this place after watching entourage and wanted to see if the pizza was legit(I was in town on business from California) the service was great too, I had an older gentleman attending me and he was very courteous and helpful and always had his eye on me to make sure I didn’t need anything else.

After being out on the island a few years I finally was able to visit this New Hyde Park classic with a friend that has been here a few times(so she knew the ropes), while I was a first timer to this divey classic. I am happy I did. Although they have a full bar we only order a couple of seltzers as we look over the menu. I knew I was going to order a plain individual bar pie, just to get an understanding of the hype. We decided to share a tossed salad. My friend ordered a ind. whole wheat with spinach and eggplant. The service was good and attentive. We got our salad first which was quite large with chunks of tomato and cucumber on top of the lettuce. We got the dressing on the side that comes in a squeeze bottle. I like this simple salad — reminiscent of a horiatiki served in many a greek place. The pies arrive — the moment of truth. With pomp and circumstance I take my first bite — thin crispy yet slightly chewy crust, tangy sauce with mozzarella cheese hit. I have to say I like this simple classic just fine. I add a little grated cheese and red pepper flake since I like a little heat. I try a slice of my friend’s and I like the thickness along with just enough toppings. No major taste different between the regular and whole wheat crusts. We take our time as we enjoy our conversation. The busser anxiously asks if we were finished and want to wrap anything up, we had to turn him away a couple of times before we threw in the towel. They really love boxing things to go here! lol Complimentary rainbow cookies come with the check. We move on to our next destination as I contemplate my return wondering what toppings I will order next time!

Great bar pie. Reminded us of a place we went to often back in Nutley, Ralph’s. Nice thin crust pizza with just enough sauce and cheese. Chicken Parm was good as well. Chicken was ‘snappy’ in texture but the flavor and taste we spot on. Get there earlier like we did at 5:30. As we were leaving shortly after 6:15pm the place was packed and line to the curtain door. We’ll probably do take out next time, but not quite sure how the pizza will stay being in the box for 15 mins or so for the ride home.

The Bar Pies get my picky Son’s seal of approval which is why I give it 4 stars and not 3.5. The Dough is the right thickness and the toppings are spot on but you don’t really get that crispiness until you reach the edges. The first few bites of pizza are a little chewy and doughy. I think that if the dough was cooked at a higher temp it would achieve that all around crispiness that we so desire. It is very cool that you can barely tell the difference between the Whole Wheat dough and the regular. Usually Whole wheat is hard to do so they get points for that. I know of a few people with Gluten allergies so I would be very interested to hear about the Gluten pies before I suggest they go there. Pros: — Good for kids — Whole wheat vs. regular — no difference — Great toppings(we tried a pepperoni, and olives/oinions/hot sweet pepper) — Cheese to sauce ratio is perfect — Free Juke box — Good service/friendly Enough staff Cons: — Crispiness is saved for the edges — Only Bottled Beer(its ok really just odd for a bar)

The pizza at Eddie’s is thin crust and is as good if not better than any standard crust pizza on Long Island. The sauce is perfect and getting one with pepperoni and meatball on it is near perfection. Their mozzarella sticks are enormous. Ordering them gives you the benefit of an extra little cup of sauce to dip your thin crust pizza in so ask for extra. The rest of the food here is pretty tun of the mill bar food. The place could use a bit of a scrubbing. It looks frozen in time on the inside and dining in isn’t entirely comfortable. A bit of a refresh could move them to a 5 rating for me based on the pizza alone.

When I came across Eddie’s on Unilocal I wasn’t really sure what to expect, and when I walked in I was certain I was in the wrong place, but sure enough, I had stumbled upon a New Hyde Park tradition and a real diamond in the rough. First off, when you walk in you’re going to think you’re in a dive bar, and by rights you are, but this one happens to have a little not-so-secret secret… they serve really, really good ultra-thin crust pizza. I recommend the whole wheat, and/or the sausage bar pie. They’re 10″ and can easily be taken down by a single hungry diner.

Man… I am still so disappointed by Eddie’s it’s not even funny. I forget how long ago my Mom & I passed Eddie’s but my mom raved on and on about how awesome they used to be when she was younger. My mom grew up in Nassau and moved out to Suffolk in the early 80s. My Aunt still lives in Nassau so the ride back and forth in is not a trek like it is to a lot of Suffolk folk. Enter Eddie’s Pizza. We walk in and my mom and aunt begin talking about how it basically looks the same. I’m excited cause I love a good bar pie and it’s pretty crowded. I think Eddie’s must be doing something right here! Packed Pizza joint on a Thursday night?! Ok it must be good! Unfortunately it’s not worth the hype. We got a table basically right away so that worked out well for us. We sat down and ordered the following: 3 Waters with Lemon Fried Zucchini with Marinara & Ranch Individual Bar Pie with Black Olives 2 Individual Plain Bar Pies The zucchini came out first and was overly fried but ok I’ll let it slide. They were busy and a couple of pieces were not too well done. So I was willing to let the Bar Pie speak volumes for itself. The bar pies came out and we were all excited to try our pizza. Man. I guess we’re all spoiled now because they were so bland. The marinara from the fried zucchini had much more flavor then the sauce on the pizza. I appreciate they loaded my pizza up with olives but it was just all forgettable. I tried the plain and man that had nothing. The crust was lackluster(and that’s me saying it nicely). I now know where I have to go for a nice thin crust pizza. Zaro’s(in Huntington) or jump on a plane and fly down to Aruba(Pizza Bob — so AMAZING!!!) We asked for the check and some boxes cause the amount of pizza we left was shameful. Our waitress seemed to forget about us for a good 10 – 15 minutes. When we got the check we also got rainbow cookies which weren’t that good either. Will I be back? No I’m sorry. Will I recommend it? No unless you like flavorless pizza. Heads up! It’s Cash Only if you decide to come here.

My fascination with all things pizza brought me to New Hyde Park for dinner. It’s been mentioned a few times that I should for sure try Eddie’s. Absolutely true. Their thin crust white pizza with clams and bacon sounds like it wouldn’t balance too well. But it does. The mushroom and sausage also good but I would ask for extra cheese if I were to go back. And yes, I’ll be going back. If you haven’t been, it’s definitely a place to keep on your list.
