I have been wanting to check this place out and finally did on a stormy day. I mainly got desserts such as Apricot Hamantaschen (the best I ever had, very buttery), Cannoli chips and cream and a slice of carrot cake. These were very good and were not overly sweet. I think this place may become a new spot for my sweet tooth since I am starting to get sick of Buttercooky Bakery these days. I will get a cake for my friend’s upcoming birthday and will update the review accordingly. I also got a small portion of Porcini Risotto and this was delicious as well. Overall, I was very happy with this place.

Yes — I am definitely a fan. This place has specialty italian food, coldcuts, meats, pasta and cheeses, amongst various other items. I will say they can be a little pricier however the quality of their food is as well.
This place is the «go to» if you need to pick up a fast dinner in a short amount of time. Trust me if you buy it here, your family will think you slaved hours cooking it. I have been shopping here for years and have even ordered their catered Thanksgiving menu.
Looking forward to shopping there again.

Iavarone Bros. is a gourmet Italian food store. When you first walk in there are baked goods, cookies, pastries, and breads to the right. In the middle are the cold foods, fresh cheeses, cured meats, prepared cold dishes, platters, and prepared hot foods. They also make sandwiches to order. In the back is fresh seafood and meat. I love coming here because everything looks so fresh. My mouth starts to water and I want to try as many things as possible. The workers here were very helpful and friendly. I told one of the deli workers that I was looking for a cheese that goes well with crackers and he enthusiastically came around from the back of the counter to the front and referred me to his favorite cheese which was the goats milk gouda. I probably would have never though to select that cheese if it wasn’t for him. They also have a small olive bar with a good selection. They make for great healthy snacks.

My office orders lunch from Iavarones on the regular. I can honestly say I’ve never had a bad experience here. We either order from the café or the supermarket. They have never disappointed. This year we used them for our company Christmas party. Initially I spoke to Ryan to get a little more information on catering, he was very helpful when it came to suggesting different packages. I ended up placing the order with Joe P. He was very helpful in letting me know how much food I would need in order to feed all my hungry co workers. I ended up having just the right amount of food. Their macaroni salad is amazing. I’m a customer for life!

Seriously great food, i always go here as it is the best quality/healthiest food in lake success. To be honest i would go out of my way to get their food but it just so happens that i live close by. My only gripe was that i got their arugala chicken salad and it had wayyy too many red onions but hopefully it was a one-time thing but i wouldn’t let that minor issue take away any stars.

My favorite supermarket. Majority of the foods are freshly made on a daily basis. Everything tastes delicious, my favorite is the baked ziti.
The chicken dumplings with their own teriyaki dip is to die for ! I have made special trips just to buy the dumplings and bring it to parties.
They have all kinds of select imported goods that you can’t find anywhere else. Absolutely adore this supermarket !

The Quick: Great Italian spot for lunch that doesn’t just serve pasta and pizza. The Italian grocer is also a hit. Have to love a spot with a lunch special.
The Details: The pizza smelt amazing, but since I’m always trying to lose 5 pounds I opted for salad/wrap. The food was delicious overall. The lunch menu had plenty of options including wraps, salads and Panini’s. And since I’m not that serious on the diet, I did have their fries which were double battered and fried and absolutely amazing. Split them with a friend so the calories don’t count.
The Damage: The lunch special room was about $ 10 for a wrap or sandwich with fries or side salad. Very reasonable for the quality of the food.

I went in today looking for different types of cheeses for a little get together I was having tonight. I usually go to a local mom and pop place near my house but I heard of Iavarones and the variety they offer. I went in and they had more then imagined. I don’t know much about cheese so I asked the guy at the front desk what he recommended, he showed me 5 or 6 different types that he personally liked. I bought 4 of the 6 and let me tell you, they were great. Joe P was his name, he even offered to teach me how to make mozz! I ended up walking out of there spending more then I wanted to. It was all worth it! The deli line was a little long but it was worth the wait for a little prosciutto and salami. I’ll be back.

Used Iavarone 2x for our twins christening and their BBQ services this past weekend for their 1^st bday party. Joe Jr. Was extremely accommodating and helpful for both orders despite multiple changes to the menu. Our family is very particular about food and it was outstanding. Highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a caterer. They are amazing.

This is a nice out of the way Italian Delicatessen located in a strip mall in Lake Success. Plenty of parking, decent bagels nearby.
They just have a wide variety of high quality foods. Pastries, their meats, cold cuts, the prepared meals are good as well. Can’t remember purchasing anything that stood out as not good.

I had previously hired Iavarone Bros. to cater parties and I was always delighted with the taste and quality of the food. I figured I had no worries hiring them to cater my daughter’s Sweet 16 party 2 years ago. I figured wrong.
The pros:
The 2 people I hired to work the party from Iavarone were exceptionally professional and we were very happy with them.
The food I ordered (for 100 people) was delivered on time.
The cons:
The food was terrible. Really terrible. The chicken cutlet parmegiana was a thick tasteless lump, the pasta dry and the meatballs tasteless.
I spent a lot of money. I don’t mind paying a bit more to get quality, but these guys lost me as a customer. I was embarrassed serving the food and I won’t ever use them again.

I always find myself in here to purchase cakes or cookies for events. The bakery is amazing here. I love their cakes and cookies. Everything tastes fresh and homemade.
This is a supermarket with a deli and bakery section. I haven’t tried the food from the deli but I tried the ready made food. It was very good especially if you want a quick meal and too lazy to cook. You are able to cater and choose what you want to be catered if you are hosting a party. The sandwiches are very good and tasty. I always find myself purchasing something here since everything smells and looks so good!

you don’t need to tame an impossible cliff to get here — despite me constantly calling it «The Guns of Iavarone» — but for Italian import goods and ready-to-heat meals, Iavarone is a solid stop.
an array of baked goods, balsamic vinegars and oils, and the obligatory massive spectacles of cured meats that you expect to find in Italian specialty grocery stores.
pretty solid, if small, selection of craft beer as well.

We came here to buy baked goods as the favorite bakery we normally buy breakfast stuff for our normal office celebration was closed for the day after New Year’s Day. Thank goodness, they were open and they have enough to what we need and they open their store hour early to our planned celebration. This store has been a life saver.
We had muffins, butter croissants, apple turnovers and chocolate croissants. Everything was delicious. Prices were few cents above as to our regular bakery but their name has been known which added to the appetite of the office staff.
