This is my favorite Mexican place for the last few years. My wife and I love the tacos. I prefer the fajita style chicken tacos and the shrimp tacos. Everything is very fresh here and made to order, so expect to wait a little bit. Special requests are no problem at all. Their salsa and sauces seem to be home made– not poured out of a jar. This place will not disappoint!

Just average. Don’t understand the hype. Meat is under seasoned. Sauce is not hot. Big portions but nothing to write home about. Burrito Jalisco in Tinley is far better and worth the drive.

Great fast food !!! Fresh and great portions. Probably the best food in New Lenox. Love the tacos, poblano(spelling?) pepper tacos are awesome, with a side of rice and beans !!! Add a horchata for a beverage … Perfect meal

Great burritos and good prices! It’s hard to find a decent Mexican restaurant in the burbs, this one was very good!

Had ordered a chicken and beef fajita catering package. Everything was neatly packaged and clearly marked. The fajitas, both chicken and beef, were delish. Generous portions of everything with plenty leftover for people to bring home. It was my first time ordering anything from Burrito Loco. I went by Unilocal reviews, and certainly wouldn’t hesitate ordering again!

In terms of fast food Mexican, they are very good. But over the years the prices have skyrocketed. I just tried to pick up just a burrito for my lunch later at work. The burrito(nothing else) cost $ 8.14. For that price I would expect it to be a meal with rice and beans. It’s sad to see that I know they are trying to add money to the bottom line, but I will not be going back after over ten years, since I can get the same plain burrito elsewhere for less than $ 6.00.

Great, fresh food at a nice price. Good value. While I’ve found some staff try to take advantage of you while making change or shorting you by not putting ordered items in the take-out bag, if you stay alert it all works out. The fresh food overcomes this irritation.

We catered our New Years Eve dinner from El Burrito Loco for 25 adults and 20 kids. It was my first time ordering from their catering menu but we have eaten here in the past. The food was excellent! The driver delivered it exactly on time and was very professional! We would definitely order from here again for future parties.

I have been coming here since I was a little kid and always loved it. I have had a variety of things on the menu that always taste great and authentic until recently. The past two times I have ordered chorizo tacos from this new lenox location my food has tasted purely of cinnamon and sugar. Obviously they are not cleaning the griddle or not using different pans for their dessert items. Which makes you kinda wonder if they have other sanitation and cleaning. issues It’s disgusting, enough said. I sadly will be taking the trip into joliet or to buenas nachos in frankfort next time I want tacos.

I’d have to agree with Lisa’s previous review on this one. While the food is pretty good, the drive through is AWFUL. There is no better word. They don’t move people around, they just keep you waiting. I have also received cold food because of this. Maybe the management should go work a week in the Portillos drive through to learn a little. My advice is go inside if there is anyone in the drive through line.

I love their food; however their drive thru is horrendous. I have waited over 25 minutes, just sitting in the line. The reasoning is that people order fajitas(INTHEDRIVETHRU?) and they take time, so everyone has to wait. I think it’s ridiculous that they don’t have people PULLOVER so someone isn’t waiting for their food that’s ready(due to this, I have also received cold food). I know some people say«just go in» but sometimes that is not easy with kids in the car, crappy weather, or just wanting the convenience of a drive thru. It’s upsetting the management doesn’t care that people are waiting this long, didn’t care when I called to complain, and didn’t even offer an apology. My advice is to go in if possible, or only go in the drive thru when there is one or no cars. :(

This place is a staple of New Lenox. Their burritos are huge and the food is very good. I love their rice and the fact that they are open later than everything else in town makes them even better. The drive through can be very slow but with the food being made to order you really can’t complain. Overall a great place to get Mexican food cheap and quick!

We’ve been going here for many years now, they have great food. I usually get the chili relleno burrito, and it’s always good. I stopped in here around 3 pm on a weekday and placed an order to go. I also ordered a taco to eat there. Well, I was on my phone wiith a friend and kind of lost track of time, and when I finally noticed 25 minutes had gone by! I went to the counter and told them, turns out they had lost my ticket. So I waited another ten minutes and finally got my food, the surprising thing is they gave me a huge order of chips and salsa and a bottle of Coke for my inconvenience. Now a lot of places make mistakes, I can’t count the number of times I arrived home from many different restaurants and found that they got my order wrong, or items were missing. But how many places actually try to make it up to you? They were sincerely sorry and made it right. The fact that I wasn’t in a big hurry made the experience less painful, but it is so refreshing to know that they want to do right by their customers. I will continue to patronize this facility, and I hope that you will too.

El Burrito loco is one of my favorite Mexican places in the area. Lots of good food for not a whole lot of money, there really isn’t a whole lot more to it. I always go for the taco dinner plate because it has a little bit of everything, and is fantastically priced. Tacos al pastor or some normal asada tacos work for me. Their salsa verde is top notch. Place is old but is always very clean.

The best late night food you’ll get in new Lenox. Not the best food ever, but the best late night food you’ll get in new Lenox. It has been for years.

The last time, and I mean last time, I went there I got a steak burrito. It was horrible. Full of gristle and the meat was overly chewy. How can they sell this garbage?

I love Mexican food, and this was not good at all. Rice was salty, beans had a lot of cheese, quesadilla was dripping with grease, the gordita was tough, and the chips tasted stale. We won’t be going back.

The tales of Burrito Loco can be heard on high throughout the south suburbs of Chicago. It’s one in the morning, you’re hanging out with a bunch of friends, and suddenly you just need a burrito. Or a torta. Or a quesadilla. Lo, hark! On the horizon! Burrito Loco lights up the night. Hop upon your noble steed and head west, until you arrive at the haven for all late-night Mexican food. Cries of «Loco!» echo through the land. Heed them.

Absolutely five stars. It should actually be six. We have been going here for as long as we can remember and would drive well out of the way for the red hot sauce. Enchiladas are fantastic as well as the steak tacos and anything else you order. It’s all delicious. Customer service is an A+, you simply won’t find better.

Very good Mexican food. I am not a big fan of any Mexican food, but loco is pretty damn good. I enjoy the Chimichangas with Chorizo(A). Guacamole(A). Tripas taco(A+). Lengua taco(A). My wife loves the Enchiladas(A+). Also a really good option for catering. Lots of good food for really reasonable $$! There is a reason these places never go under, it’s plain old good food!
