The owner, Lisa, was verbally abusive to my ten year old daughter. Not once, but twice. Chastising her for being late to class in an aggressive manner in front of her peers. This was despite the fact that we gave the studio advance notice that my daughter had play practice. She left my daughter in tears. When I protested and reminded Lisa Wainright(not so affectionately referred to as Mrs. W by her predominantly mortified students) that my daughter was only ten and doesn’t drive the car, and that we gave them advance notice of the conflict–«Mrs. W» dropped my daughter from the school! No explanation, nothing. My daughter has gone there since she was three! Some people should not be working with children or work with the public. It’s no wonder her enrollment is down 50% over the past few years. The good news is we found another wonderful studio closeby. We went there for a visit and saw three girls my daughter knew who told us they quit W Dance studio because of Mrs. W. Also, beware-she really socks it to you with the cost of the recital dresses and the recital tickets. It seems the more students she loses the higher her prices go! Stay away

Mrs. Wainwright is not only creative and artistic in her business life at her school, but voluntarily helps with liturgical dancing at special events, such as Easter and Christmas Cantatas at her church, which is such a beatuful enhancement to the music provided by the choir and live orchestra there. She works with all ages to make sure that all who want to participate can. Liturgical dance is something many churches have not experienced, but is so very beautiful to see. It is another avenue of worship that she has provided for others at no cost so as to praise the Lord in yet another way other than vocally! Perhaps she can help motivate some of her students to help at their own places of worship in this same area.

The owner strait up lied to my face. Either that or the website is not up to date. She said one of her instructors was once a dancer for Alonzo King Lines Ballet as well as San Francisco Ballet but there is no instructor listed on the website with that high caliber background… The gentleman that I saw seemed to match the picture of an instructor who had danced with Chicago Ballet and Hubbard Street which is no where near as prestigious as the ones she mentioned… Something is fishy here. Not to mention her super weird demeanor. In this day and age there is no reason to act rude. I’m here on Unilocal giving her studio a bad review because of that interaction. Also, they are a competition dance studio which is just tacky. Dance is as art form not a sport.

W Dance studio is very welcoming. The dancers are supported and the teachers are encouraged. Plus, there are so many dance styles offered, there are more than enough classes for everyone: males and female, tots to adults!
