We Love Devs. My husband and I go there for date night ATLEAST once a month. If it was up to me, it would be a weekly visit. The honey goat cheese is to die for. As is the Red Dragon noodle bowl. i’ve never gotten anything i didn’t like. Their mixed drink menu is fun and creative. Although I usually stick to wine. The atmosphere is very romantic, but casual. Great for date night, or girls night out. and everything in between :-) Miss Bunny is as friendly as they come. I love seeing her, and having her sit with us a few min and talk about life all her adventures. Keep up the good work! We will see you soon!

Dev’s earned five stars from my husband and I based on three things: 1– service: We have been here three times so far(the last time we brought my parents along-they were visiting from Hawai’i) and each time the service has been amazing. We are always greeted as we enter the front door and told we can sit wherever we want. 2– hospitality: Bunny, Dev and the rest of the family have each greeted us and been very friendly. Bunny has struck up a conversation. There is nothing better than feeling«at home» when you are thousands of miles away from your actual home. 3-food: My husband has stated on many occasions that if they offered a platter of twelve lamb chops(you receive a duo from the tapas menu) he would get that. We have tried almost everything on the tapa/small plate menu and have yet to be disappointed. Thank you Dev’s! We will be back very soon!

Such a great place with quickly prepared dishes that are tasty and very well coordinated. I was warmly greeted by the manager — Bunny — who is such a sweetheart. Every dish I tried was amazing — bursting with flavor. The service was prompt and impeccable. I was fortunate enough to chat with Bunny on several occasions who made me feel so welcomed. Will definitely return!

Delicious dinner with my aunt and mom while on vacation in the area. Jamie our server and the chef were excellent, taking time to accommodate our food allergy requests. Salads nicely sized with homemade dressings. I tried the tapas. Love the beef and roasted veggies. I look forward to making another trip to the area so I can stop in again!

This is a great place for tapas. We enjoyed each one very much(we ordered 6). Plus, Miss Bunny makes you feel like one of the family. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone going to New London.

I had an end-of-the-year celebration for my New London Public School Dept. at Dev’s. Candace took excellent care of us and even opened up early to accommodate our group! The wait staff made sure the tapas kept coming… The food was excellent! Candace also made sure to creatively give us themed named cocktails like«Summer Vacation» and«Teacher’s Pet». Great happy hour specials too! A must in downtown NL!

First time visit last night to Dev’s and will definitely return. The décor, dishes and glassware were top notch and made for a really nice ambiance. Martinis were generous, good and looked beautiful to boot. We started with the Spanish dim sum which is an assortment of their tapas specialties and we were so impressed with the flavors we decided to do a tapas tasting. The three of us went through about 1⁄3 of the extensive tapas menu and we were happy with them all. Owner on premises was extremely friendly and service was perfect. New London is the place to go for good, reasonably priced food. With seafood, Dominican, tapas, German, and continental restaurants all on /off Bank Street we’ll definitely be visiting this area again.

I’m gluten free, not celiac. These guys have lots of tapas options that are gluten free. The Red Dragon Noodle Bowl is A-MAZING!!! I will definitely be back. I highly recommend this place.

Love this place mostly because Miss Bunny is hilarious and very friendly. The food is pretty good, but I’ve only ever ordered from the tapas menu. The service was friendly and attentive. The mongolian bbq and the pork meatballs are my favorite tapas, but I also really liked the Miss Saigon sticky bun. My friend also ordered a burger with a sunny side up which looked absolutely amazing. Recommend people try this place!

Truly phenomenal. I have worked in the food industry in every facet you can imagine for the last 20 years. It makes my heart sing to say I had a touching and palate pleasing experience here. BUNNY! By God(she is one of the owners) gave us the ROYAL treatment. She doesn’t/didn’t know us from Adam. Greeted at the door. Given special treatment. In Bunny’s words«this joint is owned by a bunch of broads!». After being seated were offered drinks and tapas by recommendation. Everything was carefully and deliciously and FRESHLY prepared. I can’t say enough about this place. My only wish? That the atmosphere wasn’t THAT good that I couldn’t even take proper photos due to soft/dim lighting that just made this date night with my girl that much better! I love this place and wish I could eat here weekly. Thank you Bunny and her broads! You kids are KING!

Went for the first time with friends a few weeks ago. We all fell in love with the tapas. Location isn’t the best but the food and staff made up for it.

This review is only based on their valentines dinner. My boyfriend and I have never been to Dev’s before but have always heard wonderful reviews from everyone. We really wanted to enjoy our Valentine’s Day dinner together, saw they had a special menu and made reservations. It was never mentioned to us that this would be a group seating. So let’s start there. We were sat in the middle of the table, the woman in the couple to the left of us was a talker, to me mostly, not wanting to be rude and make things any more awkward I engaged in conversation, with her, not my boyfriend. All night. She also mentioned they had no idea it was a group seating. The group to my right two of four were smokers and repeatedly went out for cigarette breaks during our meal, myself and my boyfriend are non smokers so when they returned smelling of ashtrays it was offensive and unappetizing, not what we want to smell right before we eat dinner. As far as dinner was concerned it was almost ok. Coming originally from a culinary background when I realized this was going to be a group dinner all tables and parties being seated, orders taken and served at the same time, I was curious how it would work out, considering it’s generally pretty difficult to pull of well. I was trusting that if the restaurant put on this dinner they must have had it well organized and under control. Nope. Wine was served with dinner and plenty of it which was nice. It was needed to calm the nerves. We had to go to the bar to get our own water, waters were never served with the meal, nor refilled when empty, none of the servers looked happy or were overly helpful, they just came around took orders and disappeared. When the tenderloin were served, they were«auctioned» off at the tabled by how they were ordered cooked. They were ordered, it should have been marked what seat had rare, medium, well etc. not«who had a rare?» Service took so long in between courses. We got there at 7 and did not leave until almost 10. It was only 4 courses. You do the math. Three hours sitting with strangers starving in between. As far as the food is concerned the best thing were the chèvre tartlets, three perfectly bite sized tarts served warm with the right amount of caramelized shallot. The carpaccio lacked flavor as it was not seasoned at all. The lamb chops were tasty but over cooked, and the Waldorf salad was an apple with some lettuce and dressing. I had the shrimp and orzo which tasted fine but nothing I could not have made at home and was sloppily plated. The tenderloin was good and nicely portioned, I’m glad my boyfriend ordered that because at this point he was miserable. The chatty woman next to me ordered the Ono and even though she said it was flavored and seasoned great wouldn’t even finish it because it was dry and over cooked even though she kept commenting on how hungry she was. The dessert was labeled raspberry chocolate mousse but was actually chocolate pudding with raspberry sauce. And the other was a lemon parfait? Maybe? Although looking at the web page now I see it says tres leches parfait. I’m not sure. Honestly at that point we were just happy it was over. Unfortunately this was not the romantic Valentine’s Day dinner we had hope for in any way shape or form. And it was pricy $$ for what it was and the quantity of food served. We might go back on a regular night and try the restaurant as just the restaurant, but I’m sure it will take us a while to get over this night. We really wanted to like Dev’s, but this just left a bad taste in our mouths.

Came for tapas, and had a great experience. Virtually everything we tried was quite good, and the prices offer good value. In fact, consistency might be the defining characteristic for the tapas menu — everything quite good and fully satisfying, though not crossing into the category of spectacular. Special mention for the service, which was outstanding. The woman who acts as hostess is a dear. I would definitely come back if in the area again.

Made it in for happy hour yesterday(Monday-Saturday 3 pm-6pm) and was not disappointed! Small plates were $ 1-$ 2 off the regular price, beer and wine $ 2-$ 3. Tried a few of the tapas, including the garlic bread, toasted goat cheese, vegetarian pot stickers, patatas bravas(the latter not being on the happy hour menu). The food was very tasty and the drinks were a great pour. There was just one other patron in the restaurant when we arrived at 5 pm, but a few of the tables were filled when we left. We sat at the bar and enjoyed some conversation with the bartender. The staff was very friendly and the ambiance was pleasant. I’m looking forward to returning to try more of the small plate options!

I’ve been here twice with wonderful experiences both times. I came on a date night midweek over the winter and had a wonderful time. We were the only table guests(there were patrons at the bar) and the server was attentive but not overbearing. He offered up his favorite tapas and although their Irish coffee doesn’t come with baileys, the server let us know and added it in for us. The atmosphere is cozy, the waitstaff on top of things and knowledgable about the menu, and the food is amazing. The first time I came here a few years ago the chef came out of the kitchen and offered us a steak tapa on the house. It melted in my mouth; simply the most divine piece of steak I’ve ever had!

This was our first experience with tapas, and both my wife and I enjoyed it. We went during Sail Fest, and service was at a pretty reasonable speed throughout despite the high volume of patrons. The Spanish Dim Sum is a good choice to get a large variety of flavors. I personally ordered the Spanish Paella and BBQ Ribs and enjoyed both. They do offer full meals if the idea of tapas turns you off. The desserts are very good as well, and I would recommend the Loo Lee, a fried cheesecake dish. It was surprisingly large and could be split by two people rather comfortably. The tapas mostly ran between $ 5 – 7, with the desserts falling between $ 4 – 6. It was a different experience, but on a street full of options, I would likely try some other restaurants before returning to Dev’s.
