Brickhouse Pizza & Restaurant

You would think that a place with 4 stars and raving reviews on Unilocal would be good, right? I was so disappointed in my lunch here today and cannot with good conscience recommend it to anyone in the area. My calamari was white– very clearly not fried and was extremely rubbery. I couldn’t finish it. My chicken parm was not a step up either. There was a huge bone in it which weirded me out because I thought it was supposed to be a chicken breast, but besides that, it tasted like a dish you buy from the frozen section and heat up in the microwave. My boyfriend ordered a bacon pizza and said it was overcooked and the bacon was rubbery too. Based on the previous reviews, I assume everybody else just gets pizza here on Brickhouse’s good days.

These guys are awesome. My family and I have been going there since I was a little girl and the owner is great. They’re fair and helpful. Not to mention great pizza and that legendary Brickhouse Salad!

Needs someone in the kitchen to taste the food and the sauces before they are served. Food is prepared wonderfully, but in some dishes there is no taste, Their Alfredo Sauce is as bland as could be. The fettuccine was prepared perfectly, but the sauce was tasteless. Also, the cheese in the shaker at the table was odorless and tasteless and was no help in adding to the flavor of the bland Alfredo. Their Red sauce is good, but other than that all sauces are bland, bland, bland. The white wine sauce on the chicken was also tasteless. This could be an excellent restaurant if the could find how to go from bland to tasty for all their non red sauces

Best pizza place in New Milford and the stuffed shells are to die for. They have a pretty good vibe and the waiter was really nice. They are Italian and you’ll know once you walk in which is pretty awesome always will go back and have to pick up when in New Milford

The house salad is AMAZING!!! The pizza is always really good too. About a 20 min drive from my house and worth it every time!

Great meal as always pasta was cooked to perfection. Soup was great followed by a nice salad. Great service throughout the whole meal.

The waiter was great. Things were ok until I asked for a piece of bread (they give you free baskets at dinner) for my son as we were wrapping up dinner. One of the staff came back and said «the manager says we have to charge you 50 cents per piece». Even as he was saying it he seemed to know it was wrong. He was telling me this as I’m stuffing a 30% cash tip into the bill jacket. I didn’t argue I just left.
It made me feel pretty under appreciated as a customer and left me with a sour taste on the restaurant.
Whomever the manager is needs to learn a few things about taking care of their customers. I won’t come back.

The Brickhouse is an excellent restaurant. When I go there I almost always have a Veal Picca which has a deliciously lemony sauce with it. I also like the fact that now that my family and I have been there a few times the wait staff is beginning to remember that I have a special diet, so I don’t have to explain myself. The Brickhouse is an old fashion Italian American restaurant and great for families.

Such a cute little space and amazing staff! We flew out to visit family and came here specifically for the pizza and great service! The wine selection is great and reasonable prices. Great place if you are looking for authentic italian food.

Brickhouse is great! They have the best pizza in New Milford! Whenever I come into town, I have to stop there because the pizza and pasta dishes are delicious… angel hair pomodoro: YUM! Ziti Pizza: YUM! Cheese Pizza: Yay… I just love it and their staff is very nice too!

Love this place, awesome pizza, friendly staff and an addictive house salad dressing. Definitely my spot for pizza and a salad in New Milford. I usually go the take out route but any time I’ve eaten in the staff has always been friendly and attentive. Will definitely continue to give them my business.

Great food! The house salad is the most amazing I’ve ever had, the dressing is addictive. Priced well, just wish they would offer more beer selections but no place is perfect… but they are pretty close. This will always be my go to place for casual Italian food.

If there were a 10 this place would get it!!!
I went there for the 1^st time for lunch (my friend has been there before) with a friend and it was an awesome experience from the minute we walked in until we left.
Immediately greeted (if you have seen my other posts, this is a BIGGIE for me)
The waiter was friendly, talkative and gave us great service
I ordered the penne ‘crème sauce and my friend had the salad with chicken. Both portions were generous and delicious.
As we left what looked like the owner said bye and thanked us for coming (another BIGGIE for me).
I live about an hour away but everytime I visit my friend who lives in New Milford I will be sure to eat there.

Waiters were all great, surprised no waitresses but upon inquiry was told it just happened that way. They all worked in unison and very pleasant not only to patrons but with each other, making for a very nice atmosphere. Food was really good with reasonable prices. The cheesecake was a true New York cheesecake! Amazingly light and delicious.
What a nice experience for my long overdue date night with my husband. Thank you Brickhouse!

BEST FOOD IN NEW MILFORD!!! Fast service, Great tasting food from the pizza to the specials. ALL IS GREAT and not expensive.

The best salad in town. Period. I scratch the olives, but if it’s your thing, do it.

A fly wouldn’t leave us alone. The service was good/​friendly, cheese pizza was good, the white pizza was bland.

OMG, they have scungilli! And the marinara sauce was one of the best I have had in a long time.
The antipasto was reall good with soprassato, salami, provolone cheese, sliced black olives, ham and a delightful oil and vinegar simple derssing. The garlic bread was good too. To get good Italian food at these bargain prices is not something you run into every day.
