They don’t know how to make a upside down banana split, I mean, really!?! It’s a banana split, in a cup. Sad.

They have a drive in. A friggin’ drive in! Dairy Queen, I love you. DQ is slowly starting to come back to New York. God Bless us. Everyone. Sure, its soft serve ice cream that you can buy at a gas station in Florida. Guess what? Its a nice frozen treat that my family always enjoys. From the fresh peanuts to the goohey hot fudge. Its a guilty pleasure that we always enjoy when visiting granny in New Port Richey. Fan!

Dairy Queen is a childhood staple. This DQ is newer, modern and clean. They have expanded their menu and now offer hot food items like your typical fast food fare; hot dogs, burgers and fries. When we go it is just for the ice cream. I must say that compared to Twistee Treat(around the corner on SR52) their ice cream doesn’t stack up. They don’t have as many options at DQ(although I’m a fan of their Blizzards), they don’t offer sugar-free ice cream(for my diabetic Dad), and their ice cream just isn’t as tasty. I’d say they are probably more expensive too! Still, it is hard to screw up ice cream and as hot as it gets in Florida you can never have enough ice cream spots!
