There is one reason to go here and one only. If your staying at the Hotel. If your staying at the Hotel, your probably going to want to stay up all night partying. Food was horrible. They switched(on two visits) the Captain Morgans spiced rum with some kind of gut rot. It came out of a Captain’s bottle, but it was not Captain’s.

The only positive thing about the experience is that it was over finally with over an hour of waiting for the food and check. The food was bad and cold; watered down alfredo that was horrible the tiniest bit of pasta I’ve ever seen on a plate that I paid 16 bucks for it was horrible. My husband got their fried shrimp platter that was ridiculous 7 shrimp and 10 fries, are you kidding me for 17 bucks, along with watered down ranch and cocktail sauce that tasted horrible. If the food wasn’t bad enough we had the slowest waiter in the world literally took an hour to have dinner, we were so fed up we were just going to drop cash and leave, but my husband thought the bill might be more than what he calculated for. The single worst dining experience of my life by far.

Gross. When we walked and took a whiff we knew we should’ve left but we were starved so we stayed. Food was horrendous. There were multiple hairs in one person’s drink! It’s on the water and there are few seafood options, which probably worked out for the best for us now that I think about since we likely would’ve contracted a food borne illness had we ate it. Absolutely would never return or recommend.

This review is only for Frankie’s Raw Bar on Sunday’s. You can visit him on Facebook here: Frankie sets up «fish camp» on the back deck on Sunday evenings. He has a separate menu, but you have to go right to the tent to look at his daily catch as it often changes. His seafood is local and I would say his prices are fair. If you ordered these things at Salt Rock in Clearwater, you have farther drive and it would be a tad more expensive– this is in our own backyard. You can get here by car or boat. Frankie also has his own boat drink special that you can order at the bar, just ask! I think it’s Pineapple and Orange Juice with three different rums including a coconut rum floater on top. It will surely give you«sea legs»!

Excellent place. I’m from Delaware and the staff and guests made me feel like a local.

Ehhhh. Service was ok. The food was fair. Bar type food. Nothing special in my opinion. I didn’t hate it but I probably won’t return.

Probably the worst experience me and my wife has ever had… Service was pretty good being the only had one server my wife waited for a simple cup of lemons for her tea for 20 min waled up to the bar and was ignored… The owner and his wife and friends were there loud drunk and obnoxious and cursing up a storm and call them selves a family restaurant… Food was ok… We found this place on Groupon and thought to give it a try and will not recommend it and will not go back

One thing to note is that this bar is located in a hotel/motel. We have only been in there one time that there has been a crowd. This most recent night, there was my group and a few other straglers. There is a large population of homeless in the area that tend to flow through the doors here. Went with a group of 11 the other night for music and some drinks. It was empty in the place, but the band was actually pretty good. While waiting for our group to get situated I went up to the bar to order 2 drinks. Prices were 7.00 and 6.00 for our basic drinks. They were watered down and overpriced for what they gave us. At our table, we ordered some buckets of beer, some more mixed drinks and some fruity bucket drinks. We had a good time dancing to the bands music. Upon our checkout, I noticed our bill was significantly larger than the price I paid at the bar. The waitress added 20% on to our tab. We asked her about it and she said she did not add it and that they only put the recommended tip amount on. We showed her the line item indicating the tip was added. She took all our bills and then came back a while later with the exact same bills. I had assumed she was removing the tips and letting us tip accordingly. 20% for drinks??? That is crazy. I will never bring a group back into this place again. Overpriced drinks and tipping 20% on top of that… no way. Not in the dirty hotel this is in.
