The service was beyond poor. awful, awful staff. got there before it was even busy, asked for a menu, waitress seemed annoyed by that! never came back to my table. sat at a table with no drink, or menu for 30 minutes. Watched as the waitress served the regulars. went to read the specials on the board at 6 pm and was told those aren’t even tonights specials. owner was even present and that is how the staff acts. afraid to see what happens when they aren’t under his watchful eye.

Found this on Unilocal.food was well prepared. Corned beef was fresh n delicious. Rye bread was fresh n we fought over the last pieces. Loaded baked potato soup was as good as it sounded. Beers on tap were good and plentiful. Bar tenders Patrick n Kelly made us feel welcomed and relaxed. Definitely a revisit is in the future.

Been there a couple of times over the years and the one thing that has not changed is the consistently bad service from behind the bar. My last visit was ruined by the old broad behind the bar who kept asking us if we were done… If you are trying to get rid of us just say so. The attitude from the staff is just something I dont need. So long… too many other places selling great beers and food.

We came here for their Shamrock 5k and really enjoyed ourselves. They really put on a good race and well worth it for anyone wanting to do one next year. We had the corned beef sliders which I did enjoy. If you go take cash since there is a $ 15 minimum for using debit. My only thing I did not like was I was served a Guinness in a plastic cup just not right but I still drank it.

Went here on a Tuesday to check the place out, just moved to this area. When I got there, there was a girl in the parking lot layign on the ground, she was so drunk, 2 guys trying to get here a cab. How do you let someone get that drunk in your bar? Anyways, no big deal. It was 39f and they had the front doors wide open, mind you the front doors are only about 7ft from the bar. I was fully clothed for the cold, but didn’t expect to have to eat with my snow jacket on. I was freezing. People next to me left cause it was too cold. New people came in and thy decided to take their food to go, cause it was too cold. Bartender was so busy telling stories about her trip to New Orleans, that when I looked down the bar, there were 3 guys with empty beer glasses, as was mine, waiting for her to finish telling stories and do her job. The guy next to me came in with his wife and they both ordered drinks. The lady got the girls drink, started pouring the guy a Guiness, and then stopped halfway for some reason got sidetracked. Went back to story telling about her trip and 10 min later realized she forgot to give the guy his beer. I was shocked the guy patiently waited that long and didn’t say a word. She appologized and gave him the beer for free. I wanted to stay and watch the hockey game but it was just too damn cold to hang out. All I can say is they likely lost a lot of business that night by having the doors wide open. As I was leaving, a couple came in and sat down. As I was walking to my car he came out behind me and I heard him say to his wife«I gotta go to the car and get my jacket». I’m sure they didn’t stay long either. I ordered the Haddock sandwich, is was ok, can’t complain, it didn’t even come with fries, but I ordered fries too and they were just so so. Nothing to write home about for sure, poor service and the double doors wide open when it’s 39f makes this a must skip spot. Don’t waste your time.

Very, very poor service. And even poorer treatment from owner. After ten years of loyal patronage I was treated better at local chillis than at this poor place of business

This is a little gem in NPR, serviced by very friendly local staff. We stopped by one afternoon about 5 years ago, looking for a cool one. The questions we asked made it clear that we were new in town, so Bernie made us feel very welcome. What a great day. We’ve been back routinely and enjoy it each time. The Irish atmosphere, stacked sandwiches, Fish & Chips, and great friendly people make it all worth while. The out-front patio makes for a cozy social place — especially in the late evening, while the inside dining room allows for privacy — if that’s what you like. All in all, great food, great people, cold drinks, and great atmosphere.

Seems to be one of the nicer pubs in downtown New Port Richey. The food is okay. I prefer the offerings at Boulevard Beef and Ale around the corner, which also has a patio and serves some good beers and has a liquor bar.

Tried this place for the first time last weekend. Nice location in NPR, adequate parking. Bit noisy inside so may be hard to converse at times. Waiter was very attentive. Burger large and delicious. Outrageous cheddar-bacon fries. Giunness Stout on tap.

There are a lot of establishments in New Port Richey where you can mingle with scum bags and bikers. This isn’t one of them. You can actually get dressed up to go there and you won’t be out of place. By Pasco county standards, Fitzgerald’s is upscale and is hands down my favorite bar in New Port Richey. However, to write Fitzgerald’ s off as just a bar would be a mistake because the food is also excellent. They have a large outdoor patio that serves as the perfect setting for a place to grab lunch or even dinner. I am addicted to the Irish Nachos. The service is always excellent. This is due to the fact that the core staff has remained the same since the place opened and the turn over rate is very low. Bernie is the man! Lastly, the location is perfect. Fitzgerald’s is the best reason to go to spend a Friday or Saturday night in downtown New Port Richey.
