This hidden gem serves up casual, authentic Mexican fare to the local community. You won’t see many Americans is this cozy little eatery, but will immediately feel welcome. I am a vegetarian, and let the owner, Rafael, choose my lunch every time. I am never disappointed; quesadillas, bean and rice burrito, tostadas, and soft tacos are all favorites. Cotija serves each meal with an assortment of salsas, and the cinnamon coffee hits the spot on a cold day. They have just four tables and get quite packed. I’ve brought my meat-loving husband and friends to Cotija, and they couldn’t get enough of the beef and steak burritos. I can never eat at the average Tex-Mex restaurant again!
