A lil piece of Heaven… oh so good! The clams are succulent straight out of the ocean, the burgers… never ever have I ever tasted a burger soooooooooo good! Lo from Harlem, New York!

Greasy Nick’s is THEBEST! I have been eating there for 40 years and it never fails to get my mouth-a-watering! In fact it is right now just thinking about it. Do yourself a favor and go grab a burger, some corn and a black cherry soda. Yum!

I have been coming here since The 80’s. I have never been disappointed and the burgers will serve you right every time. As a child my sister and I called this place juicy hamburger and I moved away and have not been here in over 15 years. Imagine my surprise when I found it online by a brief description and they have not changed one single bit. The hour and a half drive for a hamburger brought back ALL those lovely childhood memories. Thank you for being consistent and for living up to the expectations.

What a dump! Based on reviews, I expect a more pleasant atmosphere but the place is discusting. Plus the waiters with the sloppy attitude really make for very unpleasant eating experience. also, it is surprisingly expensive. Finally, the food was gross. Soggy onion rings and tasteless clams. You’re much better off going to city island. Some local joints have charm and cool vibe, but this place has non of that. Don’t bother.

After 30 years still one of the best hamburgers ! Took a ten year break but Leon’s is still on point. Great place to go on a sunny day with the kids. One little problem it gets very busy and parking can become an issue. It’s worth the wait !

It’s cool! Nice place to chill before of after a nice walk at the park. Staff is rude, very rude! But food was ok.

Dont get the big deal about the place. It was a different atmosphere i guess but the burger was just a patty. The fries were decent & only reason it gets 2 stars is because of the good choice of ice cream. Also got sick less then an hour after eating. Wouldnt recommend

Though we have been here many times in the past, this was our first time here this year and will be our last visit, too. The food was just mediocre and the service was horrendous. We were sitting at the table(which was still not cleaned off) about 10 minutes until I had to motion for a waiter to take our order. My daughter and I got our food immediately but they forgot to put my husbands order in and he did not get his food until about a half hour later. I know this place is affectionately known for being a «dive,» but this was just too much.
Clams on the Half shell, Great Shrimps with fries and Cold beer… This place has been here forever and still good. A nice alternative to city island.

Best greasy burgers in Westchester. They’re simple and delicious. I haven’t been in a while, but when I get back to NY, I will. Plus it’s the only place that still sells Piels Beer.

This place has been around longer than I’ve been around. Burgers and hot dogs are the staple, but with items like corn on the cob, steamers, and fried fish and shrimp there is something for everyone. Leno’s or as I was raised to call them Greasy Nicks is a seasonal spot so it’s the official summer jump off spot. Cash only and you grab your own drinks. Wouldn’t have it any other way. If you find your self near shore rd stop in you’ll love it.

I live in Baltimore now, originally from NY. Periodically when I get back to the city I’ll make a special trip to New Rochell for the most amazing fried onions in the northeast! Put em on anything… nom nom nom

The negative reviews are overly harsh & unreasonable. It’s an outdoor burger & fried clams joint with picnic benches & beer in cans — what are people expecting, cloth napkins & glistening bathrooms? This is the same kind of place you’d find at any beach. Granted it’s no frills, but the fried clams are taaasty, the burgers are delish, and u can wrap up your meal with an ice cream sandwich. Perfect old school summertime fun! I love Leno’s despite it’s lacklustre appearance, and it always has full tables so apparently I’m not the only one.

The bathrooms should be condemned! We should have known when they would not let us go inside because«the floor was wet.» The shrimp and clams were just ok. Our dog enjoyed it because of the dirty ground. I always say that if the bathrooms are dirty, how do we know if the kitchen is clean?

Burgers are a bit greasy but delisH! Add the onions, don’t worry about your breath! Pair it up with some buttery corn on the Cobb and a black cherry soda. Place is a neighborhood local favorite!!!

Pat, Frozen hamburger meat? Louie is turning over in his grave, and Ace is very disappointed. :(

Under the same ownership since 1970, this Shore Road spot deserves a place on Diners Drive-Ins and Dives. Came in for a «nostalgia burger» and it was as good as ever — most importantly, unchanged since my first one in 1977. Think full size White Castle. Start with caramelized onions on the grill, add a full sized burger patty and stick the result between two halves of a lightly buttered and grilled Kaiser Roll for $ 4. It melted in my mouth and I have insufficient words to describe the deliciousness. My friend went with two split and grilled hot dogs, also served on split grilled buttered buns. The menu is short — clams, burgers, dogs, corn, fries and onions. Grab a cold beer and sit outside on the metal tables circa 1980. This is a place that if you are close, you gotta go.

This really isn’t a review as much as a trip down memory lane. When I was a teen we lived at 666 Pelham Road. We would come here in the summer and I have such fond memories of the burgers. We called it Greasy Nicks and it’s so cool that people still refer to it as such. I can still smell the onions cooking on the flattop grill. The bun looks exactly as I remember! It’s been 20 years since I moved out of NYC to California and probably 30+ year since I ate here. If I ever get back to my old neighborhood I will definitely stop by.
