Some of the best sushi I’ve ever had! Get the dynamite roll! Absolutely amazing! Fresh. Made right in front of you. Quiet atmosphere. Could bring a date here if you wanted.

My first time with real fresh sushi. Fantastic sushi, awesome atmosphere. Small and cozy with a bar to sit at as well as tables. The guys that work there(theyre family i think?) are friendly and welcoming. As someone who until now, has only had publix sushi, they were happy to explain some of the rolls. Only complaint is how hot is was inside, but that could’ve just been a problem they were having that day. Would def go back.

Great ‘hole in the wall’ Sushi place. Service was fantastic, all the guys were very friendly and the food was great. We had the smoked squid appetizer and the chefs choice sushi/sashimi combo. Everything was super fresh and high quality, we will return here often.

I was a regular at Shiki in Winter Park until I moved to Tampa. When I was visiting Orlando I wanted to stop by and saw that Shiki was gone. It took me 12 years, but I finally found where Beni, Jimmy, Brandon, and Kyle went. And when I walked in it was like I had only been gone a week. Even with a nearly three hour trip each way, it is worth the drive. The menu is a little different because of what can and cannot be made, but the regular items were there and were exactly as I remembered them. I don’t know if it because they are only a few blocks from the ocean but some of the fish tastes fresher.

Followed a local’s recommendation and came here for the poke bowls. Four days later(and sadly 200 miles away), we are still craving their delicious fresh flavor. Treat yourself to a juice here as well. We had the one with basil, turmeric and a few other ingredients. It was shockingly good!

The freshest fish that we have found in new Smyrna Beach. We go at least once a week, without fail. The service is personable, the location is small but clean, and they will not serve anything unless it is perfect. My kind of restaurant! They have also started serving fresh juice cocktails which are quite amazing. We usually have one for dessert to cleanse our pallets. I also like that they stick to traditional Japanese preparations. A lot of restaurants pour a bunch of weird sauce is all over the fish, what’s the point? If the chef has a sauce on the plate, it is there to enhance the beauty of the fish. Love it.

Sushi restaurants as a whole are very objective, when it comes to sushi everyone has different opinions of what makes a great sushi restaurant. Those of us that love this Japanese culinary staple have witnessed it’s popularity steadily increase, as sushi restaurants become more and more ubiquitous, it helps to have an idea of which places consistently offer the freshest, tastiest sushi. Just a few short steps north of Flagler Ave on North Cooper Street lies Sasaki Sushi, this tiny sushi restaurant has established itself as the preferred sushi restaurant in NSB and has achieved cult like status for many based on its consistently fresh and extensive fish selections, expertly prepared rice, high quality nori and deep rooted customer service. This process of finding«your favorite sushi bar» is a dynamic experience, I find I continually raise the bar and my expectations of what to me is the perfect sushi. I want scrupulously fresh fish, it doesn’t need to be caught the same day, but it does need to be kept in a manner that ensures it maintains the mouth feel, clean taste and color that’s appealing when presented, I also want rolls that are extravagant, creative, somewhat overblown and even hilarious. Sasaki Sushi possesses all the qualities that makes this the local’s favorite when it comes to sushi so, it’s never surprising to me when I hear«this is my new favorite place». Not meaning to offend the fried and broiled seafood aficionados but mediocre prepared seafood is often just plain boring seafood and it’s difficult to tell the difference between average seafood and good seafood, but there’s nothing quite so disappointing as bad sushi, so if you happen to find that special place that somehow manages to pull off the almost impossible task of combining quality ingredients with creative presentations as much as you’d like to keep it a secret don’t…

This place is the best and this family has been making the best Japanese food since way back in the Twentieth century!

Small little sushi shack with poke bowls and variety of sushi rolls. I had the vegetarian rolls with brown rice! Pretty good but would be better with less rice. Service is excellent here. The waiter was very attentive. This place is very very small fyi. Seats maybe 20 max? If I’m in new Smyrna I would come back for sure because I love anywhere with veggie brown rice sushi.

This was the best sushi I have had. I’m not a sushi guru and don’t eat sushi all the time but this sushi was über delicious! The space is quite small and not a place for a loud or secert convo. There are large windows that make the space bright and everything appeared clean. No high tables or crazy decorations were present but the staff was very helpful and polite. The rolls were a good size but not to large they wouldn’t fit into my mouth and the wasabi was just the right heat! I love wasabi! I ordered the spicy conch devoured it and ordered another. I also tried another roll and cant remember the name but it was just as appetizing.

Loved our lunch here on a Saturday, with a very polite waiter. A small table by the window as they opened was both intimate and comfy. The edamame was served with salt and cooked to perfection. The salads had a nice touch with grated beets and the ginger dressing so good that we wanted to take home a quart… Alas, they don’t sell it. Both the California maki and the salmon and asparagus maki was fresh and delicious. A clean and satisfying meal. Went back a second time and enjoyed the«Delight», miso soup and had to have more of the ginger salad dressing. The tuna avocado roll was just excellent. Thanks for so much.

A hidden gem in NSB! Excellent sushi on a beach town? What more can you ask for? This is A restaurant with cozy and intimate settings. It is a small family run business that focuses on first class sushi. Waiters and chefs are super attentive and friendly. I’ve been enjoying eating sushi from all over the world since early 1980’s. At SASAKI, you will be assured to find a great dining experience! The sushi & sashimi quality has always been extremely fresh. Keep up the good work SASAKI! Whether you are a local, snow bird or visiting NSB and enjoy excellent sushi, please make an effort to dine at SASAKI. They are located on quaint Cooper Street just off Flagler Avenue. Don’t know what to order? Ask the waiters for their recommendations and specials. Their Poke bowls are a must to try. :)

We had a lovely lunch here. The owner was there and chatted with my husband and his son was our server. The fish was super fresh and everything was delicious. The seared tuna was fabulous as was the eel sushi. We wished there was a larger selection of rolls but we would go back for sure.
