I’ve had several positive visits to Emergency One, and the people are very friendly. However, it just takes one negative experience to really ruin your opinion. In this case, I had a mishap where I cut my hand badly enough to require stitches. It was 7:45PM and they claim to be open until 8:00. My wife called to be sure that they would still be there, and they said to be there by 8:00 and we could be seen. We arrived about 11 minutes later(certainly before their posted closing time) and the door was locked. We knocked, and the girl who came to the door told us that we were too late… that the doctor had left for the night. I understand that everyone has a life, but when you have a person on the phone that you know and have seen in the past, who happens to be bleeding seriously… don’t you think that you should at-least not leave early(when you say that you’re gonna be there). So, by leaving early, the fine folks of Emergency One caused me to make an unnecessary trip to them, delaying my ultimate trip to the emergency room. I also go stuck with an extra $ 50 in copays, and ended-up spending 2 hours at the emergency room when this was 15 minutes worth of patching-up. Will I go back again? Probably… just because it’s convenient. However, I hope that the management of this urgent care clinic has a serious discussion with their staff about patients coming first. This wasn’t something that could wait, and they really should have been there for me. They definitely let me down.
