Eve Day Spa

I had Eve and her team for my wedding this past summer. They did both makeup and hair. I can’t even tell you how amazing and natural we all looked. My pictures came out perfect and it lasted all day. Eve worked with my bridal party and gave us all a deal bc of the size party. She also gave us a bag for each of us so we can touch up if needed. I’m happy I live close enough to be able to get chemical peels after we got back from our honeymoon!

I used Eve Day Spa on my wedding day for my hair and makeup, and the hair and makeup of 6 bridesmaids and my mother. In terms of the actual results, Eve and her team did a great job with our hair and makeup. It was super natural, very pretty and came out well in the photographs.
However, there were significant problems with the experience that lead me to recommend that brides choose someone else to work with on their wedding day. A few weeks before the wedding, Eve casually mentioned that there would be another bridal party at the same time. The Day Spa is TINY and I would never in a million years think that it would be okay to have two bridal parties in there at the same time. Further, I had thought that our over $ 1000 of services would have been sufficient to ensure that we were the only party there for those few hours.
It was a MAJOR problem to have that other bridal party in the salon. The delays caused by the other bridal party caused me and my bridesmaids to be 30 minutes late for our photography, and caused my mother to entirely miss watching me get dressed and ready for the wedding. I was extremely disappointed and frankly, it was the most stressful part of my wedding day to have to deal with worrying about the schedule delay because of that other wedding party. It literally felt like we were having to compete for who went next in the hair stylists chair. In addition, the spa is simply not big enough for two wedding parties. We were crowded and practically stepping over each other. While it would have been a tight squeeze with my girls, it was uncomfortably crowded with the other bride and her party. All in all, it was really unpleasant to be dealing with that in the few hours before my wedding.
In terms of the prices, I would say that they’re high, considering the local area. She charges $ 100 for makeup and $ 100 for hair. There isn’t anywhere for the girls to wash their hair, so they have to come with wet hair if they want it styled that way. And since the makeup only took about 15 minutes per person, it also seems like that’s a lot of money.

Today was my first experience. Place is cozy and relaxing.
Eve is a very nice lady, facial and massage were VERY GOOD.

Nice day spa in a cute and bustling town. Eve, the owner, is very sweet and friendly. The spa itself is bright and well-​maintained, with a nice, soothing ambiance.
Unlike many day spas, this one doesn’t offer hair styling or manicure/​pedicure services. Waxing, skin care treatments (such as facials), massage therapy and makeup services are the standard fare. Eve also offers spa packages combining facial and massage services; tanning — there is a tanning bed somewhere, although I have yet to see it; and more tailored services such as permanent makeup, eyelash extensions and acupuncture.
Prices are reasonable, although you’ll shell out more for certain services. Waxing is around $ 40, while an hour-​long massage will cost you around $ 90. I find this to be a fairly reasonable price for a massage, since a 30 minute massage at a spa in NYC cost me almost that much. An added bonus: if you’re in town on Tuesdays, Eve offers a 20% discount on all services.
If you want that tan all year long, 12 minutes in the tanning bed will cost you $ 20. In dire need of fake eyelashes? Extensions for your peepers will cost $ 200. Eve also does makeup consultations, and I would definitely give it a try if you are looking for such a service — her makeup stash is professionally presented and looks up-​to-​date.
All in all, a nice spa run by a capable professional. I’ll be back.
