This neighborhood drugstore has once again come through for me with flying colors. Last summer they went out of their way to send urgent prescription info to a drugstore on Eastern Long Island. This time, I needed prophylaxis for Lyme disease and they delivered it promptly, even though the credit card information they had on file was no longer valid. This caring, personalized service is EXACTLY why I stick with my independent local pharmacy rather than a large chain and/or mail delivery. I also like the health food store that is attached, I find products there I can’t get elsewhere.

Awful pharmacy. I went there for 3 years and loved it, up until they got new owners. Not only did they fire everyone who greeted customers with a smile and remembered their names, they put in new computer systems during the«transition». This lead to me luckily paying less for a prescription, then being told the next month, by the new owner, that he wouldn’t fill my prescription unless I paid him the rest of the money they accidentally didn’t charge. He admitted that it was their mistake but attempted to blackmail me anyways.

This is a wonderful little pharmacy, located inside a lovely health food store. Everyone who works there has been friendly and helpful every time I’ve been in, and helpful in answering questions, etc. Why review a pharmacy? I’ve found out it’s absolutely possible to have a bad experience at a pharmacy… so why not highlight the good ones? 88th St. is truly a class act!
