The cotton is oh-​so soft, it almost feels like you’re not wearing anything – which is the best way for an article of clothing to be.
I hit up the sample sale yesterday and bought a bunch of crap for way cheaper than it was listed (e.g. $ 300 cotton dress for $ 25). I sure as hell wouldn’t have paid $ 300 for the thing, but I like it. If you can check out his sales and are looking for basics, I would definitely suggest it.

Looks like Adam Lippes, formerly of Adam + Eve has gone and opened his own shop. Not really sure what happened to Eve — most of the clothes look the same and there’s plenty of women’s stuff. But everything’s just called Adam now.
I discovered Adam + Eve like many did through his wonderful basics. Pricey but soft, fitted, pima cottonT-​shirts and underwear are the heart of this designer’s appeal. But after finding a fantastic striped cashmere sweater at his sample sale last year, I fell in love with the rest of the line. Not all the stuff is cut well for me, but every once in a while I’ll find something that works. Best to catch it on sale, though, these duds don’t come cheap.
The store is typical MePa boutique. Gotta love the sign of the register that says «What would Oprah do?» Genius.
