If only the service wasn’t so slow, (rumor has it theres only an old lady cooking in the kitchen) I would’ve given this place a 5 star.
Everytime I go around Spanish Harlem I always stop by this place, knowing that I will wait for around 45 minutes for my food to be served but IT IS JUST WORTH IT! I’ve been to other African restaurants on the premises but they are nothing compared to Akwaba (funny, I refer to this restaurant as Chez Vero).
