AT&T

Tried calling at least 5 times. No answer. Keeps going back to the main menu since no one there answers. Really unhappy. Just have a quick question to see if they have what I need. Considering switching.

I had a wonderful experience at the store. I bought the iPhone 6 and Hector, an employee, and the manager, Jorge, were extremely helpful in getting it set up for me. Jorge sat with me for literally hours helping me get my iPhone 6 up and ready and backing it up from my old iPhone. He was extremely knowledgeable about iPhones and really really patient. I could not have gotten everything set up without Jorge’s o help. All in all this is an excellent store extremely helpfulstaff.

I went in earlier today to explore switching from T-​Mobile to AT&T and upgrading my Galaxy S4 Active to the S6 Active. I met with a salesman named Hector.
Throughout the 45 minutes I spent in the store exploring my pricing options, Hector refused to give me a straight answer. I continually got the sense he was trying to push me on the new Next plan, and when we verbally discussed the prices, he told me the 2-​yr contract plan was $ 90/​month. I pushed back saying I thought it was $ 80, and that we should check on his console. I observed him in real-​time trying to avoid navigating to the price page online (very obvious) and finally asked to use the mouse myself and navigated to it. «Dude, I know these by heart, this is what I do all day» quickly turned to «Oh, guess you were right» — no big deal, just about $ 276 pricing difference over the 2-​year contract.
Unfortunately, I was told that they didn’t have any brochures or collateral outlining prices, so we’d have to work them out by hand! Hector gave me a pen and pencil and we worked through some numbers. I let him know how uncomfortable this made me, and he let me know that AT&T took the brochures home a few months ago. Hmmm…
Still, my heart wanted the S6 Active, so I asked to see a quote. Hector told me he’d need to get my info before showing me a quote and brought me to a Number Port screen after collecting some other basic contact info. I asked outright, «Hector, you promise this won’t port my # until I confirm everything? I want to see prices before I agree to anything.» He assured me that nothing would happen until I confirmed at the very end. When he proceeded to the next screen, Hector let me know that the prices we had all worked out on pen and paper were no longer available, and that I’d have to make a down payment b/​c my credit wasn’t high enough. At this point, I was fed up and asked him to cancel the process, and he assured me it was canceled and none of my info was stored.
When I returned to my office, I immediately checked my credit on
— 795! Very annoyed, I decided to see what the process purchasing online was like. As I went through the online navigation (easier than in-​store but still opaque with unclear pricing), I discovered that AT&T had requested to port my T-​Mobile #…
Dumbfounded, I called AT&T and they told me they couldn’t help. I called T-​Mobile and spent well over an hour (arrrghh!) on the phone with them until they called AT&T on my behalf and got them to relinquish the port request (which would have cancelled my T-​Mobile account even though I didn’t even have an AT&T account or phone).
tl, dr: Hector the AT&T salesperson at 82 Wall Street was opaque, sketchy, and either grossly uninformed (unlikely) or very willing to lie to try to get a deal. He tricked me into porting my # unknowingly before I even got a price quote on a phone. Spent an hour on the phone w/​T-​Mobile customer service and they fought hard for me to get the port request cancelled. T-​mobile rules, AT&T at 82 Wall Street is just the worst.

Not sure why so many bad reviews. Went in this past Friday afternoon (good Friday to boot) to switch my windows phone to an iPhone 5. I live in LA, but was in NYC on vacation with some free time to take care of this, so walked across the street from the Andaz where I was staying. I was helped within two minutes by Ryan, who was great. Got everything taken care of in less than 20 minutes, and walked out of there with exactly what I needed and the new iPhone working perfectly. I would highly recommend Ryan to anyone who needs help with their phone. Couldn’t be happier with the whole experience.

Completely Incompetent. I’ve been in this store twice, both time’s I ended up in there for over an hour. They had problems with my account being similar to another account that had an outstanding balance, and both times took more than a half hour to clear it up. On top of that, I went in to add a device the most recent time and asked for a month to month plan– they gave me a 2 year service agreement AND insurance. Since my company has owned this device for 4 years, I have no need for insurance. I don’t know who in that store decided it was policy to stick customers with all of these extra features and fees, but I’m immensely dissatisfied. I should not have to spend over an hour in the store while they stand around confused, and then spend another hour on the phone with customer service fixing their errors. Needless to say, my company will be switching to Verizon. Absolutely unacceptable service provided by unintelligent, lazy salesmen.

The people that work inside are very nice, but my overall experience has been a nightmare. This is largely in part due to poor communication between the store level and corporate/​online sector, and as well poor knowledge by the staff, when it comes to procedure. I’ve never done an upgrade or made a cellular purchase that wasn’t in-​store, but if you take anything away from my experience (assuming you MUST use att) let it be this: buy your devices on the website or over the phone, NOT in-​store.
My husband and I needed to upgrade our iphone 4s’ about a month after the iphone 6 came out. While we preferred the 6, we opted to get the 5s because we didn’t want to wait a month (spoiler alert: we did anyway). We purchased two 5s phones on the Att next plan, and were told after signing up everything, that they weren’t in stock, and it would be at our home within 3 – 5 days. Wish we were told that before we firmly signed up for those phones, but fine. Somehow my fully-​functional phone suddenly stopped working in those days, and I went from «would like a new phone» to «must have a new phone». I reached out to ATT about getting a loaner of ANY phone while I waited, but they said that wouldn’t be possible. 5 business days came and went, and the status of the phones still hadn’t changed to shipped. In fact, it was past the estimated dates listed online, without an update to when it would arrive. When I called att, they said they could not give me any indication of when it would ship– whether in two days or two months. Again– this was the iPhone 5s, which has been out a full year already. Eventually I hunted down a 5s in the store I ordered it from– they were shipped phones in general, but not mine. In fact, I had to pay again for the phone, and waited for my money back about a month, when they finally canceled the order, stating it wouldn’t ship. Imagine if I hadn’t tracked down a phone in store?
It was then that I decided to take advantage of the promotion for an iPad mini for $ 199. Of course, the were not in store (déjà vu), and they assured me it would arrive to my home in 3 – 5 days. I scoffed, and they said, «I know, I know! But really, it will!» One month goes by, and no ipad. I decided to go in store and see if they had one like they did in my iPhone experience. What do you know, they did! I had them cancel my order, and then I bought the one they had in store. Except they didn’t cancel my order, so the following week, the ipad shipped to the att store (not my home as I clearly stated), and I was charged for it. I had to go back to the store to refuse the merchandise, so I can get my money back, for an iPad, which, wasn’t even the one I ordered. They basically can’t get anything right. I was told I had to ship it back myself– something for which I did need nor want in my possession. I did so, and weeks later, I still haven’t been refunded. Why? Because when they cancelled my order but not really, the issued number on it expired, and erased any tracking information that would link me to the device and return my money. ATT told me I have to once again return to the store and duke it out with them, because they don’t have access to the store’s system. Whatever that means. And the best part? I was told that if I dispute the charge with my bank, they’ll just charge me for it all over again.
I’ve been an ATT customer for 6 years, and never have I had to spend so many hours on the phone and in-​store, not to mention have my money stolen, due to such ignorance. Unless you want your experience to go astonishingly wrong, don’t go here.

I have been an AT&T customer for years but seldom I find a store where I feel as good as when I go to this one. All the representatives that helped me and my son (several times) were really patient and knowledgable of the plans and what my options were. I highly recommend AT&T and this store if you want into the family.

I called and asked about a certain case if it was available… the store rep who picked said it was and even checked the back. Took an hour and half to get to the store from Staten Island only to find the same store rep tell me it is not available anymore. He won’t even look in the drawers or check the back (mind you the case was on clearance and heavily discounted, maybe kept it for himself). Definitely call a few times before heading out!

Went in because I had an issue with anacessory I bought online and even though I’m not an AT&T wireless customer he took the time to help out without making me feeling like a second class citizen.
If you’re an AT&T customer, I’d send you his way for help, if your looking to switch then these guys might be the ones yo make you jump ship.

A tiny cubicle staffed with an one man army. I asked for instructions on how to bring my friend over to my line and create a family plan off it. He smiled and nodded then proceeded to tell me to call their toll-​free.
