I used to work here at b bap. I feel bad that they had to shut down business. First of all, this restaurant ran by young woman from california who never had experience. At that time, I was one of the best worker among them but she didn’t know how to treat coworkers (she seemed too harsh to everyone) so, she consistently lost their good workers. I think that’s the reason why most of ppl didn’t satisfied with their service. But when i work there, they were on nyc magazine and well known restaurant with cheap but, great quality food. I remember, there were ppl line up like crazy everyday. And we always short of food to serve.

B-Crap. Sub-par all around… the workers there made it seem like you were doing them a favor by patronizing this place. Amateur hour. CLOSEDPERMANENTLY. No B-Bap for you!

Review for delivery only* Average, maybe a little below average bibimbap… props for the choices they give you if you want to create your own though but minus points for a somewhat rude employee on the phone(someone called to tell me someone was on their way. I missed the first call and within 2 minutes, I called back and he said«your order is coming in 5 minutes, make sure you pick up your phone» in a rude tone) and delivering the wrong beverage. I wouldn’t ever eat at this place or order from here again having had much much better bibimbap in Manhattan and Queens… unfortunately I got a free $ 20 gift certificate from here, so I’ll be back just to use that. A Koren Chipotle. All those Unilocalers were spot-on when they described B Bap as such. Came here for a late dinner on a weekday. We wanted delicious, affordable food, and we wanted it RIGHTQUICK. Atmosphere-wise, it’s pretty chic, but not in a pretentious way. I like. B Bap hit the spot. They have tons of options for patrons to customize their dishes. What’s not to like? The price is a little high. I would recommend making your own bowl from scratch. That way you can do away with nonsense like vegetables. As for the food quality, this ain’t K-town, but it does the trick and there ain’t much else in the area to compete. +1 options +1 atmosphere +1 open til 10pm +1 quality Note: If this was in K-town, I would give it a 3-star rating. Glad I came. I likely won’t be back just because I live relatively far, but if you are in the area and want quick, «cheap» Korean food, this is the spot. Plus, it’s pretty close to Holey Cream for dessert!

Walking into this place, it feels like a place that would frozen yogurt, but instead of mochi and strawberries, they have bulgogi and spicy chicken! The concept is pretty simple, pick a carb, pick a meat, add some veggies, choose a sauce, mix and enjoy. I got the beef b-bap which was your typical bulgogi bi bim bop. The ingredients were fresh and the beef was nice and tasty. My other friends tried the spicy chicken, and they were all very satisfied. Perhaps our little trip to the Village Pourhouse beforehand had something to do with our easy to please appetites. Outside of the ordinary, they have BACON as one of the topping options! Everything tastes better with bacon. Giving this place 3 stars might be a little harsh on my part b/c I’m comparing it to a regular Korean restaurant. I definitely miss the stone bowls and the raw egg cracked on top(the egg here is already cooked). Another critique I have would be the prices are a little high for a cheap late night snack. I personally have a $ 10 limit when it comes to late night drunk food… or lunch. The seats in the place are pretty cool, but not too comfy. They’re like 4 logs bundled together that don’t form an even sitting surface. Conclusion: Decent place to quickly satisfy a bi bim bop craving.

Eurekaaaa! I stopped by bbap for lunch looking for a healthier option to cure my fried-anything addiction. The best part of it all is that it’s probably going to take a while to get tired of bbap just because it has so many options to mix it up(oops pun). To the other reviews complaining and comparing bbap to dolsot bibimbap or ‘authentic korean food’- that’s like going into Chipotle and expecting authentic Mexican. It’s obvious that bbap is a spin on Korean– just look at the topping /sauce choices — onion garlic sauce??? Where can you get that on your bibimbap in ktown? oh yeah, they had free wifi– good to know next time.

The idea of a Korean rice bar totally blew my mind — coming from Boston and all, that was to be pretty much expected. Hubby and I got a chance to check out B Bap recently. After a hectic day of moving, we had a hankering for a quick, healthful bite. Since it’s only 3 blocks away — we figured why the heck not? We arrived around 3:30 for a late lunch — the place was empty, 2 thumbs up for that! Hubby ordered the classic with white rice, beef, carrots, eggs, mushrooms, bean sprouts, seasonal veggies and chili pepper sauce. I had a combo with white rice, beef, carrots, eggs, pickles, onion garlic sauce and teriyaki. Delicious! We hadn’t had anything resembling Korean for quite some time — so our first bite there was a great treat(despite the lack of authenticity… which I really don’t mind). For $ 20 with water, it was an ideal lunch. I see myself going back for many more visits in the near future.

Good, fast, quick, tasty, cheap bibimbap. First, a caveat: this is *not* hot pot bibimbap– meaning you won’t get that sort of crispy crunchy rice you would get from cooking in the clay pot. Instead, at BBap, you customize your bibimbap– you tell them what kind of rice you want(white, brown, etc.), what kind of protein you want, what kind of veggies you want, and what kind of sauce you want. I had white rice, chicken, cucumbers, bean sprouts, broccoli, carrots, and egg with soy sauce and it came to $ 8. What I loved most about B Bap is that though it was fast and cheap, it didn’t feel like fast food. I felt like I was eating something clean and fresh. In an area that isn’t known for its exciting affordable lunch and dinner options, B Bap is a good choice.

A solid 3.5. I ordered: Potato Balls Kimchi Spicy Chicken B-Bap The potato balls were OK, a bit too salty and too heavy for my taste. They were HUGE though(a good 2.5 inches in diameter). The Kimchi was tasty, but for $ 2 I expected more than a small plastic cup full. Kimchi is CHEAP people, come on! The highlight of the meal was the Spicy Chicken bowl. Lots of fresh veggies, a ton of spicy white meat(this sounds like it could be someone’s nickname, but I digress), and some delicious green tea rice. I will be ordering from then again soon.

This place must be run by teenage kids who spend half their time baked. If by chance you catch them on a good day, you’ll be served decent food at mediocre prices. On the other days, you typically won’t receive the food that you ordered. If you ask any of employees about the mix up, you’ll get a profound response like«did you want the food that you ordered?». Don’t even bother ordering delivery from these guys. Half the time when you call, it goes directly to the fax machine. If you manage to get through and place an order, you should spend the next 60 minutes praying to God that they get your order correct. Otherwise, plan on 2.5 hours before getting your correct order delivered to your door. Food is consistently ok. Service is like playing the lottery. Good luck guys.
