I really wanted to like this place. Don’t get me wrong it wasn’t horrible. We walked in the door and didn’t see a server so we asked the bartenders if we seat ourselves. They said wait one minute, wrapped up their conversation about the gym and then summoned the server. We then ordered the artisanal bacon which looked and tasted like something from the grocery store. We decided to just have the appetizers and leave due to the service.

I have been wanting to come to this place for a while so I finally made it here with a friend for dinner. It was about 7pm on a Friday and it took a while to get seated because the hostess was no where to be found. Once she decided to make an appearance my friend and I were seated right away. Our waiter was super nice and attentive and got us our drinks right away. I ordered the strawberry cider, it was very refreshing. I also ordered the bacon burger for dinner. It was so big I had to eat it with a fork and knife, but it was very good! I found myself picking the bacon off the top of the burger and eating it by itself at points. The bacon was unreal. I could have eaten a whole plate. And the seasoned fried were bangin too. I’ll have to bring my dad sometime, such a bro place.

I went here on sunday for lunch/brunch around 4:00pm and their food was amazing! The prices were pretty good also. It just happened to be happy hour, so I had a five dollar sangria, which is cool. The service was exceptional. Very fun place perfect for date night, and they have lots of specials. Also, they have food that doesn’t have bacon for those people who aren’t such a big fan. Next time I’m trying the jerk chicken sandwich. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and bacon chilli cheese nachos. DELICIOUS! Can’t wait to go back!

Come on? What can be wrong if all items on the menu have BACON?! The brussel sprouts with bacon and the beer sampler with bacon strips are a must.

We had an enjoyable experience at this bar! As you can imagine, everything on the menu has bacon in it, even the desserts. Our waitress was great and super helpful. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with bacon and pineapple cole slaw — -so so good! The meat was tender, juicy and full of so many flavors! I didn’t really care for the housemade chips as I thought they needed more flavor and mine tasted rather old. I do regret not trying the bacon sample dish where they literally bring out a plate of bacon of different flavors. The table beside us got it and I heard one of them was a ‘pecan bacon’! Whenever I’m back in NYC, I will bring my family here!

You guys. They have bacon cocktails. They sound strange and against my diet. What diet!!! When you’re at a bacon bar in NYC just enjoy and workout tomorrow. Trust me. It’s a little dingy feeling but also clean. Service is spot on and just friendly enough. They have chocolate covered bacon. It’s perfect. Get it. Now.

The idea of this place is cool and in my book bacon is of course amazing. However the food didn’t stand out. The prices weren’t necessarily high or reasonable. Just not a very memorable outing, but no major complaints.

Just came in for lunch and restaurant was practically empty. Was meeting a friend and would not be seated until he arrived. Why couldn’t I be seated at a two top and have a beverage until he got there? Food was ok, and waitress was nice. However, don’t expect free refills on drinks. They charged my friend $ 4 a glass for iced tea(racking up $ 8 for 2 glasses of tea?!?) and myself $ 3 per soda($ 6). Ridiculous, and won’t be back!

Bacon lovers, get your ass here. We had a flight of bacon, then I went with the pulled pork sandwich. My dining mates got the bacon lamb reuben and the grilled cheese and they loved their food, too. The $ 5 happy hour sangrias were yummy and cheap. They even have bacon infused cocktails, which we were not compelled to try. We were in and out quickly enough that we had no problem getting back to Times Square for a musical that night. The service was good, and the ambiance was lively.

The Beer & Bacon Flight– Eight perfectly cooked strips of bacon(black pepper, pecan wood smoked, sugar rub, and jalapeño) and four beers of your choosing. My favorite was the black pepper bacon. I chose cider and shandy instead of beer. I loved the cider.($ 20) Bacon sliders– I’ve had better sliders, but the bacon is a plus.($ 13) Bacon Burger– Honestly, this burger wasn’t as great as other burgers that I’ve had, but I loved the sweet glazed bacon in it. The patty was huge! The fries that were included were delicious.($ 16) I will return for another bacon and beer flight and to try the lobster and bacon roll.

For someone that isn’t really a big fan of bacon, I really liked this place. I came here for brunch and had the grilled cheese sandwich with bacon bits. It also came with a corn clam chowder soup. Two of my favorite things to eat. It was meant for me. I also had a drink called the Devil’s Kiss which had gin, middle strawberries, basil, lime juice, etc. Gin is a bit too strong for me but I enjoyed it with my very filling dish. I’d come back again.

I enjoy barbacon but let’s be real, the happy hour menu for FOOD is not a real happy hour menu. $ 13 for nachos? The beer menu for happy hour is definitely worth a visit :) I got the French onion soup which is good but is just traditional French onion soup with bacon on top(not really integrated). Bacon fat tater tots are delicious and a great share side!

Had a friend visit from out of town who was staying in Hell’s Kitchen, and whose significant other was a vegetarian, so obviously I suggested Bar Bacon, so as to take advantage of the ability to eat pork products to our heart’s content without fear of leaving anyone out. Made a reservation for 4, which is allowed on weekdays, whereas on the weekend, you need at least a party of 6 to make a reservation. The inside is typical of your standard sports bar, with TVs all over the place, and slightly more restaurant-type seating. Started with the beer and bacon flight, which was 4 samples of beer and 4 different types of their«artisanal bacon.» The flight was delicious, my favorite being the jalapeño bacon, which had a nice spicy kick. The beers, on the other hand, were pretty standard, and really didn’t pair at all with the bacon as was advertised, but it was fine. In addition, the lobster bacon mac & cheese was creamy and rich with HUGE chunks of bacon, Brussels sprouts had the nice bitterness, albeit a bit greasy(from the bacon). Bacon-salted tater tots were delicious and smokey, and we kinda wished we got another order of. The BBQ pork dumplings had some really good flavor, but the texture of the pork was a little mushier, and not a good portion at $ 12 for 5 small pieces. Overall, the food was good, but there wasn’t much nuance in any of the dishes, so don’t really expect anything except bacon taste. I’d expect a little more from most gastropubs, but bacon is what they put forward, so bacon is what I’ll eat. Service was decent throughout the meal, although our server did come on a little strong when suggesting some of the dishes, which was a little uncomfortable. Nonetheless, he was probably just that he legitimately wanted us to try his favorite dishes, so I won’t fault him for his enthusiasm. Prices overall were decent for the 4 of us, although again, the value for the BBQ dumplings was questionable. In all, bacon is really all they have to put in front of you, so you really shouldn’t come here expecting anything else. Really good for a casual get-together and sampling some bacon while watching sports. I’ll be back if I’m in the area and am looking to satisfy a bacon craving, which is most of the time, haha.

Impressive selection of bacon appetizers, main entrees, drinks and desserts, all with bacon infused somehow(whether it is a slice of savory bacon in the drink, bacon flavored whipped cream, etc.). I strongly suggest a reservation since it was packed when we arrived(good thing we had a reservation and the hostess was kind enough to wait for us while other customers were trying to get our table). When we called, they usually do not make reservations for two people but for groups of four or more. The environment here on a Friday night in April was crowded, hot, humid and very loud(hard to have a conservation and plenty of drunks around), so yes, it is one of those kinds of bars. The drinks here were strong and did not disappoint, though my favorite part was the strip of bacon included in the drink. It was chewy, savory and infused with flavors like a good-quality strip of beef jerky. Next, the bacon sampler(«Bacon Tasting») is strongly recommended. The waiter explained each flavor which were delicious, though one was a tad too spicy for me. I do recommend the bacon grilled cheese(which came with a delicious clam chowder), the bacon lobster roll and bacon mac & cheese. All were big portion sizes and we brought the rest home. We finished off with a bacon vanilla milkshake which had plenty of whipped cream(bacon-style)!

I have been looking forward to this place for forever. And I was kind of disappointed. It wasn’t BAD by any means. It just did not live up to the hype. Their happy is pretty great — $ 5 for drafts, sangria and well drinks. Our server was ok — but he didn’t tell us what the specials were… we had to bring up the fish tacos because they weren’t on the menu. We got that as our appetizer. They were actually very good. For my entrée I had the lobster/bacon mac and cheese. The mac and cheese itself was delicious, but the lobster I wound up spitting out because it did not taste fresh… it tasted kind of sour. No thanks! The bacon chunks were big, but VERY fatty. Again, I wound up spitting them out for the most part. My boyfriend got the pulled pork sandwich — it was good, but there was nothing special about it. I barely tasted their pineapple coleslaw on it. He also got the bacon salted tator tots… those were also just Ok. The sangria was eh, too. Overall, I wouldn’t come back here unless I was in the area and wanted a happy hour drink and an app — not for dinner. Our bill came out to $ 118.00 with tip… I just didn’t see or expect this meal to be a $ 118 meal. Oh well… at least I had leftovers.

My BF surprised me by taking me here. I was thrilled as I love bacon! I saw photos on Unilocal & was very excited to try everything. Ordered drinks: champ o Rita & I got the BB Storm. I hated my drink… like did not finish it Bc it wasn’t tasty at all. Got the lobster, bacon, Mac n cheese.ugh. I’m so disappointed to bash this. It sucked. The lobster was scarce, the bacon was in huge chunks almost making it tough to eat. Not a fan of the consistency of the Mac n cheese itself either. I could see the cheese however I tasted nothing. In fact I was so disappointed I got it to go so I could try it the next day to make sure that I hated it… annnnd I still did. We shared the fried pickles, they were good. Per the usual, my BF devoured everything. He liked everything we had & said he’d even come back. Well he’ll have to bring someone else cuz I was very unimpressed.

When you put BAR and BACON together, you find this GEM! What a great place to come and have a drink and get bacon laced food! The place is a bit small with intimate seating, but well worth the visit. They also text you when a table is ready when you are waiting, no need for a bulging disk to carry around. The drinks are great and good sizes, and the food is reasonably priced with the amount you get. The service is on point and you can tell the staff has it all together. I will be back next time in NY!

Let me start by saying that this was the first restaurant on my ‘must-do’ list for my trip to NYC. I saw mention of it on television and had to try it because… well…BACON! Looking at the menu online first you see that just about everything has some form of bacon in it. There’s even a selection of cocktails made with bacon, but we avoided any alcohol as the night was still young. If you’re only visiting the city and this will likely be your only stop at BarBacon, go with friends and order a variety of dishes ‘family style’ so you can sample the different offerings. Don’t forget to check the specials on the boards above the kitchen. We arrived at happy hour just before the crowd arrived so we got seated right away. A few minutes later and the place was packed… standing room only… and it got pretty loud. It would appear that this place has quite a happening happy hour. After all, it is located in Hell’s Kitchen. We tried 3 different dishes: the Beef Sliders w/Smoked Gouda, the BarBacon Grilled Cheese and their Lobster Mac & Cheese. Here’s my breakdown: Sliders — These were good, but not great. The bacon is simply a single strip draped across the top, thus hanging off the sides of the bun. We had to break it and reposition it to cover the burger ourselves. I get the concept of ‘presentation’, but I also don’t like going to a restaurant and ordering food with«some assembly required». Eating it the way it came was just wrong. Grilled Cheese — The sandwich was good… bread toasted, but not too crispy. Cheese flavor was pretty good, too. The sandwich comes with a small bowl of their corn, clam and bacon chowder. I really liked the flavor of the chowder… in a lot of ways it reminded me of vichyssoise(except warm), plus the addition of the corn, clam and bacon. What I didn’t like is that it’s a chowder with a thin consistency(also reminiscent of vichyssoise), and I like a nice hearty thick chowder. Again, still a good flavor. Lobster Mac & Cheese — Apparently, this is one of their more popular dishes. While it is good, it is also heavy and rich. It doesn’t look that daunting when it’s placed on your table, but those with small to medium-sized appetites might be struggling to finish it. Flavors are good with chunks of real lobster and crumbled bacon. I definitely recommend sharing this one. If you’re a bacon-lover like the majority of people on Planet Earth, you are likely to enjoy the food here. Try the bacon samplers to expand your bacon-loving palette. While some of the creative bacon dishes on the menu seem to try too hard to force bacon in the recipe, I haven’t tried them so I can’t critique. I’m sure they’re at least good because… well…BACON! Prices are pretty consistent with what you’d expect in NYC, but my opinion on overall value is still somewhat iffy. Our server(Dolly) was great! Pleasant, knowledgeable and attentive, and food came out pretty quickly. No complaints there. I really wanted to ‘love’ this restaurant, but It didn’t quite get there for me. However, I would still recommend adding this place to your ‘must-do’ list and try for yourself, but plan accordingly. It does get busy, so try to get there at off-peak times.

I would bathe in bacon grease if I could, but for now BarBacon is probably as close as I’ll ever get to that. My boyfriend and I met up with his friend there one Sunday and luckily we had JUST missed the brunch crowd. Initially my boyfriend and I were interested in going to BarBacon for the beer-bacon flights, but because we were all rather hungry we decided to opt out and instead get a pitcher of beer and an entrée each. I went with the lobster mac-n-cheese since it literally sounded like heaven on earth, and my boyfriend quickly followed suit(he has a habit of copying my meal orders and I’m not going to lie, it irks me). Our friend got the bacon-corn-clam chowder(which would’ve been my second choice). I was also terribly interested in ordering a bacon cronut for myself, but I figured I was already at risk for a heart attack. Took us a while to get our food, so the(kinda pricey) pitcher was quickly consumed. When the food finally arrived I was terribly excited, not only was the dish full of thick cut bacon, there were also incredibly hearty chunks of lobster. Definitely no skimping there. The only issue I had was that I couldn’t finish it all in one sitting, both my boyfriend and I wound up taking half of our orders home. I also tasted our friend’s chowder, and it was tasty, although a bit lacking in the clam department. The only qualms I have with BarBacon are the service(a bit slow), interior(the tables and chairs are wobbly to the point of spiling), and pricing(steep). It’s not a place I’d go to regularly or just for drinks, but definitely somewhere I would return to. Especially if I had a hankering for bacon.
