Had the buffalo wings and build your own burger both were delicious. Wait staff was friendly and attentive. Good beer selection. Good meal at a reasonable price. Would go back.

Great little find in the heart of midtown Manhattan. Food was delicious! I would recommend the filet mignon medallions and brick pressed chicken. The truffle mac and cheese is great and large enough to be a meal rather than a side dish. Renovations were being done while we were there and the staff didn’t miss a beat. Everyone was friendly and inviting, despite some chaos with their surroundings. It was a really enjoyable experience!

Great solid rustic-meets-trendy place with a long list of beers, cocktails, whiskey, wine, build-your-own burgers, foodie-friendly dinner entrees(steak/salmon/brick chicken), and upgraded standard pub fares. They also have a gluten-free menu for beers and burgers/desserts/entrees. I booked this place for our bi-monthly get together with a bunch of patent attorneys(#geeklife) and everyone agreed that this place is AWESOME. FOOD: –Build-your-own-burger: grassfed beef/bison/veggie patty, bun/gluten free bun/lettuce, sauces, toppings, cheeses. I got an amazing bison burger on lettuce with BBQ sauce and cheddar cheese. 5⁄5. –The sweet potato fries were great. They weren’t overly greasy like fries can get at some places but were still crispy. Any wannabe cook worth her salt knows that sweet potatoes fries are much harder to get right than regular potato fries due to the sweet potato’s higher moisture content. Speaking of salt, the fries could use a bit more seasoning(paprika and a dash of cinnamon?) or perhaps paired with a sriacha-ketchup or BBQ-ketchup. I dipped the fries in the BBQ sauce that came with the burger and it was perfect. 4.5÷5. –Brick Chicken: I didn’t try this but both of my fellow diners got the entrée and raved about it! It’s a whole(half?) a chicken that is flattened(hence«brick») and breaded. The chicken is plated atop bacon mashed potatoes and sugar snap peas in a presentation that is worthy of a much more formal restaurant setting. DRINKS: This place not only has a mile-long list of brews, but also cites the exact number of miles the beer took to get to restaurant, just in case you’re a secret hippie under that 9-to-5 suit who cares about farm(brewery?)-to-table. ATMOSPHERE: The pub was filled with a mix of young and middle-aged professionals. The music was mostly pop-indie(e.g., Death Cab for Cutie, Muse, etc.) and pop. Good vibes and packed with people but not overly so to where I am claustrophobic. The décor was hipster-sleek, if that is ever a thing. VERDICT: Worth it, and I might be recommending this joint to my coworkers since we’re always looking for a new afterwork hangout spot.

Came here on a Thursday night after work with my boyfriend. Overall, it’s decent food and drinks in a pub setting — nothing particularly special. However I really appreciated the good service and reaction to feedback here, and therefore rate this a four star vs. three. When we first got in, they put up at a table for two against the window. It was nice, except it was right under the speakers and the music was blasting so loud that I not only couldn’t hear anything, I was also getting a mild headache from the noise. We mentioned it to our waitress, and she immediately moved us to a bigger table in the middle, away from the speakers, and also got someone to turn down the volume. As for food, I ordered the crispy duck confit salad, while my boyfriend ordered the filet mignon steak. The steak came out pretty good — juicy and rare as he requested, served with(slightly over grilled) asparagus and mashed potatoes. My salad was a big disappointment — the duck was so dry I can barely chew through and swallow it. There was nothing else in the salad other than spring mix leaves, sprinkled with a few over-dressed, extremely sour marinaded figs. When I explained to the waitress that I was not crazy about my dish, she asked me pick something else without hesitation. I landed on the parpadelle with lamb ragu. So glad I made the switch — the pasta was chewy and al dente, the lamb was tender and flavourful, and the tomato-based sauce was delicious but not too salty. We finished dinner with the peanut butter bomb — it was a giant ball of chocolate-covered peanut butter cream goodness. It was so good that I had to fight my boyfriend for the last bite. So not everything we ordered was a hit, but it all turned out really great and I was super thankful for the good waitress we had.

Had a great brunch on Sunday, January 17, 2016. My Bloody Mary was deliciously spicy and the $ 3 refills are awesome. I had the brickyard eggs Benedict with Irish bacon. The eggs were cooked perfectly and it was a large portion — of which I ate every bite! My friend had an omelet that she raved about and the mimosas were refreshing and fun! The only complaint I had was that our server seemed disinterested. She was quiet with all the tables around us do I don’t think it was anything about us in particular. Maybe she had a bad morning. It did not affect my star rating. The next time I am I the city I will definitely be coming in for brunch.

Just stopped by after work with some friends, the bar was packed with steeler fans but the bartender, Michael was very attentive he came right over, greeted us and offered us a menu of beer selections Since the game was on we were not gonna to stay but we had a great conversation wth Michael and he recommended some app selectors, we decided on the honey BBQ wings and they were delicious, we are not big fans of spicy food but the flavoring was perfect. After the game he engaged us in conversation and he is the main reason we ended up staying till well past our bed time. Looking forward to going back if Michael is there

Great little gastropub in Hell’s Kitchen. Stopped by last night to grab a bite and catch some football and basketball games with my cousin. We took a seat at the bar since we could order food there and get a great view of the TV screens. Our bartender/server was very friendly, outgoing, and funny. Being that it was around 8pm on a Sunday evening, it was not very busy and he was very present whenever we needed anything at all. We each ordered a burger and mine was delicious. Burger was cooked a perfect medium and was tasty. Onion rings were aplenty and perfectly crispy. It’s a pub so take a look at their drink menu to see if they have what tickles your fancy but that menu is not short on options. Parking, as in many other parts of Manhattan, isn’t the easiest to find on nearby streets. We expected that and were prepared to park in a garage about a block away, which we did. If you need to do that, I recommend looking for deals on a parking app such as SpotHero, ParkWhiz, or something similar. That way, you can look for deals and even pay for parking before showing up. Plus, that was you can also lock in a price and prepay in the app so your exit can be expedited.

Brickyard is a great place to grab some bar food and try their ~15 beers on tap(slightly more upscale than your normal bar in the Hell’s Kitchen area). There was nothing that stood out about my medium-cooked beef burger but it also didn’t disappoint me either. It was definitely worth upgrading the fries to truffle fries for $ 3 which I highly recommend. The normal fries are thicker like frites if that’s your preference. We came on a Saturday night so the back room felt like a romantic restaurant but I imagine Sunday afternoons can get quite rowdy(as evidenced by the tv’s labeled with next day’s NFL matchups).

I went here with a group of friends to watch a USA soccer game. I called ahead to make sure the game would be on and when we were seated the manager made sure that the game was on TVs we could see. They had lots of good beer on draft and the food was really good. It was a little crowded in the bar area(hard to get in and out of your seat), but that’s to be expected in the city.

After skating at Rockefeller, my friend wanted to grab a bite to eat. I’ve tried to make reservations for this twice before but it has been always booked(between 5 to 7 time slot). So definitely call day or two before hand to make reservations(not the day of). But it was around 8:30 on a Saturday night so we decided just to walk over and hope there will be a open table. Luckily, there was! The place a small quaint place. I really liked the atmosphere. My friend and I just shared appetizers together. We ordered the frickle(fried pickles), truffle fries, and lamp nachos. The frickles were yummy! The mayo-type sauce that came with it was on point too. I like how they were cut and fried into bite size pieces. Truffle fries for DE-LISH! No ketchup or hot sauce necessary. The garnish was dressed all throughout the whole basket(thumbs up). I’m used to some places just garnishing the top and its lacks at the bottom of the basket. But not here! The lamb nachos… they were okay. Nothing special. The tinder date next to us ordered it too and the guy scarfed his down though. Drinks: Awesome selection of beers on tap! I love my IPAs so they had about 4 to choose from. They also have 5 beers that rotate through. I had the Cigar city IPA. It was light for an IPA so I think for non-IPA drinkers were like it too. Service: It was pretty fast when we were there! The girl always checked on us ever so often and made sure we were okay. I’ll be coming back!

Brickyard was suggested by a friend and surprisngly, I had never heard of it even though I’ve been around the area and walked by so many times. It was quite the pleasant surprise, as the food and the space was great. 4.5 stars from me overall! Décor/atmosphere — Brickyard has two different areas — one in the back that is definitely more of a dining atmosphere — not too loud, but not too quiet. Awesome space to enjoy a dinner with a small group of friends without feeling squished or having to yell over other people. It was also nicely decorated for the holidays! It might even be a nice place for a casual date. The front part of the restaurant is more of a bar scene with minimal seating for eating. Service — ehhh. This is where the .5 came off — the waiter was a bit off. Something about his vibe just threw me off a little bit. In addition, some of our orders were mixed up(toppings were mixed up among the 4 burgers) and when I tried to confirm if I got the right cheese(Cheddar, but accidentally called it American Cheddar) in my burger I got a «that’s impossible because we don’t even carry that». Well excuse me, just regular CHEDDAR then, geez. The burger itself was delicious. It was cooked exactly to the temperature that I wanted it cooked and was juicy, but not messy. I had sauteed onions on my burger because of the mix up, but it was a nice addition to the burger and went well with the equally delicious 50 cent extra chipotle ketchup. What really shined here was the TRUFFLEFRIES. Oh my goodness please get the truffle fries. It says its an extra $ 3 for truffle fries, but we didn’t see a charge on our bill, strangely enough. While these could have been hotter when they arrived at our table, they were absolutely delicious. Best truffle fries I’ve had in NYC. Super crispy and crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Just the right amount of truffle — sometimes places really overdo it on the truffle oil, but this was great. I would go back just to have these fries, seriously. They also have a good selection of beers on tap as well as cocktails and specialty drinks. Bottom line — great burgers, GETTHETRUFFLEFRIES, ignore the service.

I went here with a friend who was visiting from Chicago. We were both thoroughly disappointed. While the wait staff was friendly, the service was quite slow. Upon being seated we informed the staff of our evening theater show, but the waiter disappeared and didn’t resurface for nearly 15 min before taking our order. Mind you, it was raining torrentially outside & was not crowded. Being from Philly, I tried the cheesesteak spring rolls for an appetizer, poor choice. The spring rolls were over cooked, small, and very dry. You could barely taste the cheese. Coming from Philly, cheesesteaks are our specialty and I have frequented numerous restaurants in Philly with juicy, filling & flavorful cheesesteak spring rolls. Next, my friend ordered soup which came out barely tepid. The waiter may have come over once to Che know on us, and that was only when my entrée was served. The chicken dish I had was bland. This is a place that I see no need to visit again.

Very typical of the type of Hell’s Kitchen gastropubs that are around this neighborhood. Definitely more high-end than your typical pub grub, but not what I would consider fine dining. The menu is heavy on the fried foods(we started with fried pickles and truffle fries), and has lots of burgers and sandwiches, but also has things like mushroom risotto and lamb chops. So you can kind of take your pick food-wise. On a Friday night, it’s definitely worth it to make a reservation for the restaurant in back — the front gets a little packed with the after-work crowd, but the back is a much nicer restaurant feel, and much quieter/more enjoyable overall. I want to be more impressed with the beer list, but despite having a good selection of craft brews, they never seem super inspired to me. It’s still a fine place to get a few drinks, I just wouldn’t expect to find the next great beer here. It’s a pretty safe selection. Expect to pay more, but eat better than at your standard sports bar, and you’ll be happy.

After immersing in a inspirational full of talent poetry and musician open-mic Saturday afternoon, my party of two came to Brickyard Gastropub to eat our fill with a lite dinner. We ordered: Porcini mushrooms Risotto– served piping hot that I burnt my mouth, mushroom were MEH, but the rice were prepared exceptional Nachos– served fully loaded with all various topping that the chip withheld and crunchy Brickyard Gastropub do not have blender to enable me a mocktail or a Virgin Piña Colada. The entrée section of their menu«denotes» what beer is best paired. Service is attentive.

Brickyard Gastropub NY Manhattan Hells Kitchen 8pm Friday 12th June 2015 Four Stars We came here to watch the USWNT play Sweden in women’s World Cup. All but one of the flat screens were playing the game. We drank some local beers from ommegang and Brooklyn brewery. I had the Build your own burger($ 12). Grass fed beef patty medium rare, no onions, add bacon($ 2), add avocado($ 1) with fries. The bun was dry but I asked for some mayo. The burger was cooked almost medium rare. It needed a bit more fat. The lettuce was limp, the tomato was decent, the avocado plop was a bit sad. The bacon was crispy. The fries were great. The service was spectacular. Our waiter made sure that the libations flowed, our water glasses were full, and our table was completely taken of. He even split the check four ways.

*This review is broken up into Overall Verdict(Summary), Phone Reservation Experience, Venue/Service and Food/Drink details. — — — Overall Verdict: SERVICE: So sweet and accommodating! Special thanks to Chelsea and Kerlaine(Apologies for the name misspellings…) VENUE: Decent — there’s a back room that’s better suited for a private event or a large group FOOD: Delicious! Definitely try the Bison Burger and Spinach Dip *droolsssss!* DRINKS: Varies from sweet to strong ADDITIONALINFORMATION: On the phone, they sound very unorganized when making reservations, but they are very kind and accommodating once you arrive! For reservations, they’d like at least 5 people on-site and will give you a 15 minute leeway prior to losing your table. VERDICT: Came here with a large group of 35+ people for my birthday celebration — and I don’t regret it. The food and service quality kept my guests and I smiling. — — — Phone Reservation Experience: ===Why I chose this place: This place was not my first choice when it came to making reservations. However, my top two choices either couldn’t accommodate my party size or the time was inconvenient. However, both places sounded kinder and more organized compared to this place, but don’t let that deter you! I have never been here prior to my birthday celebration but I decided to make a reservation here due to the following: 1) I needed a cheap place around Columbus Circle 2) I needed a place that accommodated at least 15 — 20 people(although 35 or so people actually came, which was NOT a problem because this place is awesome!) 3) I needed a place that wasn’t so stringent on the number of people on-site prior to being seated. And Brickyard Gastropub fit all three criteria and more! ===Making the reservation: THURSDAY: I called to make a reservation for 6:30 on Saturday for a group of 15 — 20. They told me that they’ll have the manager call back to confirm in 10 — 20 minutes. He never did — red flag #1. FRIDAY: I called back the next day to ensure that I had a reservation, and I did. They wanted a specific number and told me that they’ll call me back to confirm the number the next day. However, if they don’t, they asked me to call back(Uh…I’m the customer here, why is it my job to do this?). They didn’t call back(At this point, I’m contemplating whether to find another place or stick with this one.). — red flag #2. SATURDAY: I called the day of my reservation to double-check again that I still had one and asked if I could set back the time. No problem — I set it back to 7:15(because we are just latecomers), and we’d have to have at least 5 of us show up on time. So this was my experience via the phone. I feared they weren’t accommodating and would give me a hard time as they appeared disorganized. — — — Venue/Service: Much to my pleasant surprise, the staff at Brickyard Gastropub were so kind and amazing! They had our table ready, and were ready to accommodate me in however way they can when it turned out that more of my friends came. My reservation of 20 people actually became 35 or so people(Oh I love my last-minute friends and thank goodness for this place that didn’t make a big fuss about it ^_^). A very, very special thanks again to Chelsea who helped me with the reservation and Kerlaine who was our server for that night! The venue is broken into two sections, a tighter dining/bar hall in the front when you come in and then a more spacious and private dining hall in the back. My large party of 35+ were seated at the back. They had arranged the tables so that our whole group could sit together in a somewhat«L» fashion along the wall. Everyone had a seat and room to eat. — — — Food/Drinks: We ordered the following: — Frickles(Dill pickle chunks deep fried & served with garlic aioli): okay — Spinach and Artichoke Dip(Three cheeses, roasted artichoke, shallots, spinach, pita chips): So flavorful! Spinach dip never tasted so good! — Trio of Kobe Beef Sliders: overall juicy and delectable! — Bacon, cheddar, house BBQ Sauce — Caramelized onions, NY state bleu cheese, ketchup — Avocado, goat cheese, pico de gallo, chipotle ketchup — Steak Frites(White truffle oil & shaved parmesan tossed shoestring potatoes, skewered hanger steak & au poivre dipping sauce): okay — Grilled Salmon Filet(Saffron smashed potatoes, chipotle wilted lettuce topped with crispy salsafy): Salmon was a bit on the dry side. This was my least favorite dish. — Bison Burger: Humongous and juicy! YUM! My friends bought me a variety of cocktails which varied from sweet(e.g White Russian) to very strong(e.g Sex on the Beach). I had some of their specialty drinks as well which were tasty. All-in-all, I’m so happy I ended up here for my celebratory dinner! I am not a pub kind of person but this place exceeded my expectations! ^_^

I don’t know how I just discovered Brickyard, but it’s officially my new favorite HK bar. I went with a friend to watch a basketball game on a Sunday afternoon, and even though they seem to have a really popular brunch and drinks deal($ 6 brunch drinks and $ 3 refills), they were able to seat us by the window immediately with a great view of the game, which they switched to on request. There’s a back area that seems like more of a legit dining experience, so you get the best of both worlds no matter what you’re looking for. It’s pretty much your typical bar experience with a bunch of TVs and a ridiculous amount of beers both bottled and on tap. I got the BK Lager(typical) and my friend got a few mimosas. We also shared the truffle fries which came in a GENEROUS portion and were amazing. The only thing I’m docking a star for is the service. They seemed pretty attentive at the beginning, but then it was kind of a struggle to get their attention to order our second drinks and the fries. It was surprising since there weren’t that many people in the bar area.
