#2 Fried pork chop over rice Bian Dang! I was thrilled to see it around my office in Midtown East since I’ve been craving authentic Taiwanese food for a long while. And today this little blue floral cart had definitely satisfied my belly by its huge pork chop over rice lunch box. When I was standing in the line, a tempting smell from their deep frying pans was making me drool. I knew I was certainly getting something from those pans. After a while of struggling between chicken and pork, I eventually picked pork because I’d heard they make nice tender fried pork chops. Opening the lunch box’s lid, there were two big chunks of pork chops on the top with white rice and minced pork sauce underneath. The fried pork was tender with a scent of authentic Taiwanese seasonings which had reminded me of the one I had in Taiwan a couple years ago. Noticeably, their pork sauce had created more content to the rice with just the right amount of saltiness. Overall, it was a yummy and pleasing Taiwanese lunch. Kudos, Bian Dang! I would go back again next Monday and try out their fried chicken. P. S. There was a pretty long waiting line during lunchtime; I wish they had online ordering services just like I always placed order online from food trucks through . It’s a time saver since I don’t have to stand under the hot summer sun waiting for my feast.

One of my friends told me our mutual friend was co-owner of Bian Dang and since I was in the area, I decided to try Bian Dang out for lunch. I did take-out and brought it back to my office to eat. I ordered the crispy tofu over rice and it came with soup with bean sprouts. The crispy tofu and rice seemed bland since it was purely just rice and crispy tofu. The crispy tofu was crispy on the outside and spongy inside. A slightly sweetened soy sauce came with and I poured it all over the rice and tofu. It enhanced the experience of eating the rice and crispy tofu. I definitely would like to return to Bian Dang again as one of my friends told me I need to try the fried chicken over rice.
Located within Food Gallery 32 Food: 2.5÷5 –I may have ordered the wrong item. The chicken was way too greasy, overcooked and salty. –Dumplings were average, not that great either I’ve heard the pork chop is better. I’ll be back Bian Dang, with an updated review.
