Seems like other folks had the same confusion as me, so I’ll clarify here: — While«Come Buy» is technically closed, the business opening in the same place still serves the same delicious milk tea — They’ve also added coffee & crepes(savory & sweet) to the menu So if you’re looking for delicious milk tea, this is still the place to go. Do not be discouraged! The folks opening the new business(that still serves milk tea) are super-friendly and the crepes as tasty, too.(I tried strawberry nutella.)

I’m so sad to find out this location is now closed! It was great to be able to grab some delicious milk tea while escaping the craziness of Fifth Ave. A sign on their door says they will honor punch cards at the 14th St. location. Super bummer!

It’s a really cute shop in Flatiron, which probably contributes to the business and hype. There is limited seating but the furnishing is pretty modern chic. I’m guessing a lot of their business is from the start-ups in that area. I’ve tried their peach green tea and their lychee juice — the lychee is a lot better, but still not terrific. Overall, the quality is suspect. They do let you choose the amount of sugar — which is cool in concept. But in the end, the taste is still not quite there in comparison with tea places in Chinatown. The clincher is that this place is not cheap. It’s pretty standard Manhattan pricing for sub-par tea. But to be honest, I still sometimes still stop by out of convenience.

What do you do when you are dress shopping at a sample sale and really need to pee but bathrooms aren’t open to the public. Well, you run out and look for the nearest café. The Starbucks across the street didn’t have a bathroom, I panicked. Oh no. This was not happening. The Starbucks was attached to an apartment building, I asked the security guard if he knew of any bathrooms, he said Come Buy down the block. I immediately saw the policy was the bathroom was available to paying customers only. I headed to the counter and told the girl I would buy something after I used the bathroom. And I did. I bought the milk bubble tea small cold. It was refreshing.

THANKYOUFOROPENINGACROSSFROMMYWORK! *Disclaimer: I haven’t tried their bubble tea yet. Starting at 12PM on weekdays, Come Buy serves Taiwanese lunch bentos for about $ 6 — 8. I’ve ordered their braised pork lunch twice now and have been extremely satisfied so far. I’ve also had their pork belly bun(i think $ 3 –5?) and was really pleased about it too! Not sure why they don’t have a huge line fighting for their lunch yet because man is it a good deal.

Tastiest boba and vermicelli milk tea I’ve had in a while! Right on the corner of Korea town. A great way to end a Korean hot ramen meal!

There’s something awfully satisfying about listening to the male server who’s second language is English, singing Meghan Trainor’s ‘About That Bass’. That’s all I wanted to say but since I’m here, I might as well write a review… ugh. Less is more. I couldn’t help myself from getting a Peking Duck Bao because I have the willpower of a 2 year old. I don’t know if $ 5 is an appropriate price for Peking duck but I could’ve used a little less bun and little more hoisin sauce. Actually… was there even any hoisin? I’m actually sitting in here as I’m writing this, waiting for a friend, and I’ve got to admit, I’m pretty cozy. Most grab-and-go cafes feel hollow to me but they have a window bench that works perfectly for bigger groups or general people watching. I’m currently using it as an arm rest while watching this tourist try to get the perfect selfie with his aviators. God, he looks stupid. IT’S RAINING, THERE’S NOSUNOUT! Put your sunglasses away. Oh and, coffee’s ok.

When it comes to boba spots, most are the same — they barely expand past the level of average, and if they do, they veer towards disgusting. Luckily, Come Buy was that rare place that soared beyond the confining quality of average. I had found this place from other glowing reviews when determining where to satisfy my boba craving. Luckily, this place did not disappoint. From first glance, this place is unassuming. It wasn’t quite on the aesthetic of fancy cafes found in Taiwan or Korea. In fact, the menu boards above and behind the counter even had pieces of paper that said«sold out» plastered over the unavailable options. This, however, did not detract from the overall experience of the boba spot. I had ordered a regular milk tea boba to gauge the quality of both the tea and tapioca pearls. Simply put, this area is on par with most of the boba areas that I’ve tried in Taiwan. Usually, the tapioca is prone to tasting like plastic. Come Buy’s, however, had that freshly made flavor that I had thought impossible to find in the States. Moreover, the sweetness of the tea was perfect — not nauseatingly sweet but not too bland. The only disappointment was that there wasn’t a huge catalogue of flavors to choose from, but it’s better a store be great at a few flavors than average at many.(This may also stem from the fact that I ordered from the menu boards rather than a physical menu?) If I’m in the area again, which should be soon, I will definitely be coming back.

I was craving Jamba Juice and searching for a less commercial place to satiate my smoothie craving when I happened upon Comebuy. The place is definitely understated from the outside, and I considered continuing on before my eyes caught sight of the«People Love us on Unilocal» sticker. Trusting that, I ventured in and ultimately decided on, not a smoothie but the simply labeled«Chocolate.» As a chocolate fanatic and chocolate drink coniseurre, I was skeptical when handed my iced beverage. After stabbing the pointy straw through the shrink wrapped plastic cover I was overtaken by the sheer magnitude of how good this drink was — I have no guesses as to how much cream/sugar/magic goes into this recipe but the minuscule chunks of actual chocolate made me swoon. I literally had to restrain myself to not slurp it all down in one giant gulp. Bottom line: so so so good and worth every reasonably priced penny

Come Buy used to be my go-to boba spot in NYC(before I discovered KungFu). I still like going here, but will only stop by if I’m in the area. One of the things offered here that I haven’t seen at other boba places is the boba vermicelli. Other Unilocalers have already described it, but it’s basically a boba noodle. I’m a huge fan of chewy toppings so I always opt to get both boba and vermicelli as toppings. If you’re like me, then I would definitely give the vermicelli a try! You can always ask for a sample before ordering. Only downside is that employees here aren’t always fluent in English. It’s not a problem if you order one of their numbered options. But if you have any special requests or want to change things up a bit, then prepare for frustration.

I used to like coming here a lot for their drinks and snacks, but lately I’ve only been let down. They seem to always be missing something. One time they were out of boba for 30 minutes — unacceptable given that is part of their main menu item. Another time, they were completely out of food. How do they let these things even happen? They also have a $ 5 credit card minimum, which is annoying when their drinks cost less than that. I don’t think I’ll be coming back.

I want so badly for this place to be awesome since it’s the only Taiwanese snack place around Midtown east. I’ve been here 3x, to try their native bubble tea, get a macaroon and last try their lunch boxes. If you’re known for bubble tea, please try to keep up to standard. The flavors are ordinary, the add-ons are simple and quality is just par. If you’re selling someone else’s macaroons, maybe at least display it nicer so I would salivate at the counter and spend $ 2.50 for a golf ball size treat? The biggest disappointment must be the braised pork lunch box. Shame on you for not knowing how to cook rice, what kind of Asian doesn’t know how to cook rice properly. What they served was almost jook! I’m still looking for the meat in my box, cuz all I saw and spit out was belly fat. The seasoned egg was good, but I could buy that in ctown for $ 1. I will only come back if 1) I’m insanely craving Taiwanese food 2) a friend drags me or 3) all of the above

Legit Taiwanese tea shop with actual Taiwanese staff – it would be right at home on Renai Lu in Taipei. As a lychee lover, I highly recommend the lychee juice with lychee jelly. Mmmm… lychee overload.

Didn’t know this place for bubble tea /boba existed, but so glad to have found it. Just good standard bubble tea! the QQ tea was really good. taro was good too their oolong tea however, was steeped too long or something. it was super bitter. i wish they took credit cards for purchases under $ 5 though…

Pleasantly surprised by the milk tea at Come Buy. I tried the standard iced black milk tea with lychee jelly instead of the boba. The lychee jelly was excellent. With 50% the amount of sugar, its the perfect amount of sweet. I think this hands down the best option for bubble tea in the area.

Vermicelli is super fun to have as a topping for any drink! I like the QQ奶茶(milk tea) with no sugar. The boba, pudding, and vermicelli has enough sweetness for me. Nice place to do a little coworking too since they have free WiFi and a reasonable connection.

After I left my appt at the Spa I decide to check this place out since it is located right in the Building. Walking in the place itself it’s nothing Crazy to look at as far as décor goes, it’s simple café style. They have some delicous sweeats to choose from differet types of Macaron’s to Red Velvet cake. I tried the Lychee Tea, oh my delicous !! it was very good, light tasting & resfreshing. The Passion blast is also very good, as well as the Passion Fruit & Mango Fizzy also great tasting & actually has fizz to it. Macaron’s are great, Raspberry, Passion Fruit, Cream & Crème Brulee are a few of the one’s I’ve tried all delicous specially Crème Brulee. Service was good prices are decent I would say not too bad for the tea’s. changes are I will try to stop by when I come to the spa.

I was strolling down 5th Ave and was starting to feel a little thirsty. I happened to pass by Come Buy. I remember having boba at this franchise when I was in Hong Kong. I was surprised to find it in NYC so I decided to stop by for a drink. They serve a variety of drinks where you can customize the sweetness level and amount of ice. I ordered boba milk green tea with 50% sweet and with less ice. I thought they sweeten their boba so I asked for 50% sweet. My drink ended tasting super bland. There was also a lack of tea flavor. I felt like I was drinking iced water with bland boba. I was also craving a some sweets so Iordered 6 macarons for $ 14. What a great deal! The macarons were refrigerated so it was nicely chilled for a hot summer day. I ordered the rose, pistachio, and Nutella flavor. These macarons were ok. It is nothing compared to Ladurée! But it did satisfy my sweet tooth craving. With many boba choices in NYC, I would probably try another place than to come back here!
