Broadway Con

Ok so now that I’m back home and had time to soak it all in, I can update this review. Keeping in mind this was THE first ever Broadway Con, I think they did a great job. Sure, there were long lines and tons of annoying teenagers, but I have to say, it was a really awesome event! To be around tons of people who GET broadway and more over, LOVE it was a true treat! They can use some help with organization and timing but for the most part it was really well put together. The marketplace was awesome! A highlight for me was the Lights of Broadway show cards space. I’ve been trading cards with people all over the country so it was nice to meet some of them there and trade more! The panels were really fun! I didn’t think the autograph or photo booth lotteries were fair. I paid $ 250 for the weekend and only got 2 lotteries. My friends only got one. I met some kids that had 5 – 7. I know, it’s a lottery, but I paid pretty pennies for that weekend pass! They had a wonderful group of actors there and everyone was really nice. Once they get some of the kinks out I think it will be a much better experience. But again, it was their first run! I will be back next year!

I am so glad I came here. Meeting people who understand my cheesy Broadway jokes. The panels are great despite the snow. Can’t wait for next year
