Great place for bunch! Came here on the weekend and it was pretty crowded, but pretty spacious. Didn’t have to wait too long to be seated. Ordered the Eggs Norwegian(poached egg with salmon, English muffin, and homefries fries). The poached egg was perfectly cooked with the salmon underneath. Perfect combination… Ugh…so delicious! I’m coming back to try other food on the menu!

I came here a year ago with a group of friends for brunch. I remember ordering the Eggs Norwegian(Eggs Benedict, smoked salmon, and home fries) and falling in love with the home fries because they were so flavorful. Anyway, I came back with a friend on a Friday thinking that they served Friday brunch, but it turns out brunch is only available on Saturday’s and Sunday’s. Wasn’t a problem at all — the bright side was that we didn’t have to wait for seats, which would most likely be the case if they were serving brunch. This time, I ordered the Avocado Toast and Eggs Breakfast and a Smithereen(not pictured). My friend ordered the Eggs and Potato Pancake Breakfast with an add-on of smoked salmon. The portions this time were bigger compared to a year ago. My friend felt that the dressing on the salad that came with her meal was too heavy and that her over-easy eggs were a tad bit overcooked. My sunny-side up eggs were slightly overdone as well, but I did not come back for the eggs so overcooked eggs is not the end of the world for me. The home fries were as great as I remembered them to be. The toast had plenty of avocado smeared on top and the crust had a nice crunch. The Smithereen tasted mainly of citrus. Side note: This has nothing to do with the food, but they should probably invest in some new chairs. The back of the chair was very uncomfortable to lean on. My lower back was sore for a whole day.

This is an amazing brunch place, and I am so glad I went here on our last full day in NYC. We came right when it opened, and the wait wasn’t bad at all — we got seated almost immediately. The menu is expansive and everything looked good, so we had trouble deciding. I decided on the poached eggs over potato cake($ 15), which comes with smoked salmon and yogurt sauce and is a weekend brunch special. 2 of my friends got the eggs Blackstone($ 16.5; bacon, tomato, English muffin, poached eggs, hollandaise and homefries and comes with fresh OJ and espresso/coffee/tea), 1 friend got steak and eggs($ 17; comes with two eggs any style, home fries, toast and creamy spinach sauce), and 1 friend got huevos rancheros($ 13.5; with black beans and salsa served on corn tortillas with two eggs(any style), homefries & salad). We all enjoyed our meals immensely. I tried some of the steak and eggs and it was delicious; I loved my dish as well. The portions were quite big, though we all finished ours. 100% recommend this place for an unique, Middle Eastern-inspired brunch in NYC.

This place hands down has the best of everything. I love coming here one weekdays for brunch(the lines are much shorter than on the weekends). A bonus for this place is their lively outdoor area which is the most perfect spot for brunch on a nice, warm day. Their egg white omelette with basil, which comes with four pieces of multi-grain toasts and home fries, is to die for. The eggs are super fluffy and flavorful. If you’re feeling something sweet, I definitely recommend their french toast. Their french toast is one of the bests I’ve had in the city as it is incredibly moist, just the way I like it! Café Orlin is definitely a must for brunch in NYC! Tip: Visit earlier(11:00AM or earlier) to avoid lines and crowdedness.

Great Mediterranean brunch spot! The restaurant is pretty spacious with 2 dining areas, so the wait wasn’t too bad. They had seating outside for us to relax at while we waited to be called in. The food was great and large in portion, so it was actually quite filling, and drinks were delicious as well. The entrees came with orange juice and also a choice of coffee as well, which was perfect! There hasn’t been a time here that I didn’t enjoy my meal. Everything was quite smooth and the service was good. Good spot overall!

Went around 1pm on a Saturday and was the first one on the wait list. We were seated within 10 min — awesomeeee! :) I ordered the Norwegian Benedict and my friend ordered the challah French toast. Both entrees came with a cup of orange juice and then you get to choose a coffee drink of your choice as well. Norwegian Benedict — it looks simple and nothing special, but there’s definitely something special about it once you take a bite. I normally don’t even like smoked salmon, but it was one of the best benedicts I had. Home fries, though, we’re just mediocre. I would substitute it for a salad nex time. French Toast — I got to try my friend’s and it was moist and just enough sweet! I’ll probably be back soon to try a different Benedict!

This was an excellent place to get a very satisfying brunch experience. My friends and I stopped here at the start of our NYC trip. They had a vast menu with so many different options for brunch; whether you wanted a typical brunch or you wanted to add some middle eastern taste to it. For me, I always get the Eggs Benedict whenever I go out to brunch and I’d say that this place makes one of the best tasting Eggs Benedict that I have ever had. I always felt satisfied when I cut open the egg and all the yolk spills out and each bite I took made me want more. The portions were perfect not too much and certainly not too little. The inside of the Café was much bigger than I anticipated and felt like a very relaxing and comfortable environment. The service was pleasant and all my friends thought their dish tasted phenomenal. The prices were not too bad considering the amount of food you get and in addition you get a glass of Orange juice and your choice of Tea or Cappuccino. Overall, it was a great experience and it would definitely be on the list of places that I come back and visit once again when I am back in the city. ~ Stanley

Stopped by to grab brunch with my cousin. I’d been dying to try this place out for a long time, and I’m glad I finally got the chance! The Café is much larger than it looks on the outside, with three separate seating areas indoors, including a bar area. There is also a nice patio dining area if you are so inclined. As the weather was quite dismal today, we opted to sit indoors. Although a bit cramped, the atmosphere was warm and cozy. We ordered an eggs benedict and an eggs blackstone from the brunch specials to split. The brunch specials are a pretty awesome deal. For $ 16.50, you get your choice of entrée + choice of cappuccino/espresso + a glass of freshly squeezed OJ. I’m not a huge fan of breakfast/brunch, so this might be why I was not particularly impressed by our food. The breakfast potatoes were yummy, but a little too burnt, and our poached eggs were way overcooked… They were pretty much hardboiled, which was weird. Not sure if this was an anomaly, but none of the eggs we had(4 in total) were runny. Not one bit! The wait is not as long as it looks, plus, you can put your name on the list before your entire party arrives — then as soon as everyone is present, you are bumped to the top of the list and seated next.

I definitely recommend coming here for a Saturday brunch. The food was really great and they have a very unique Mediterranean style menu. I sat outside which was nice, but definitely a little crammed. I heard everyone else’s conversation and kind of felt like I was talking over everyone. But, the food and drinks really made up for it. Wanted to give this place 4 stars but the service was really weak. When we were seated, it took about 10 minutes for someone to come and just give us forks and napkins. Then, we sat for another 10 minutes without anyone coming over to us at all. Finally, we had to ask someone to take out order… and then they realized that they were completely neglecting us and picked up the pace a little bit. Although the food is 5 stars here, we really felt like the couldn’t care less about us. I know it was a busy morning, but that hindered the overall experience. Overall, very delicious food and highly recommend the apple cider Bellini! Maybe the service is better inside.

This brunch spot is a solid 4.5÷5 stars. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience here; the food was great, and the service was good too. The wait during brunch hours is quite long; for my party of two, we waited about 25 minutes to get our table. The inside is quite spacious, but the space is packed with tables to accommodate as many people as possible. As a result, the tables are quite small. [FOOD] Challah French Toast: I think this is the best French toast I’ve had in my life. The slices were perfectly cooked and flavored, and the syrup added the perfect amount of sweetness. It’s not too light, but it’s not too heavy too. Really a perfect dish. Eggs Benedict: This was also really good. The eggs are cooked perfectly(of course), and the creaminess from the hollandaise and egg pair perfectly with the muffin and bacon. The«homefries» are really just potatoes, but they’re also really good. [OVERALL] This place is definitely worth its popularity. The food is amazing, and you leave feeling not too stuffed but still satisfied. The price is also pretty reasonable for the quality and quantity of food you get. I’d happily come back!

Wow I didn’t even remember I came here before and was surprised to see«update your review» for Café Orlin. #iyelptoomuch Anyway now that that’s covered. I did come back for Sunday brunch with a gf and got the Middle Eastern breakfast. We both did. Both poached, and we had a side of the chicken pistachio sausage. It was delish. I enjoyed the labnah spread and the hot sauce was hot. The eggs were good and overall it’s nice to have a place that mixes brunch and some ethnic middle eastern flare. You can get more middle eastern time of dishes or normal omelette and pancakes. A+ for the good fresh OJ and Americano as default coffee. Our service was fast and we waited about 15 – 20 for a table outside around noon. Portions were not overstuffed but I was ok with that. About $ 20 pp

Café Orlin is a great choice for brunch in lower Manhattan. They open long hours 7days a week, close at midnight/1am. Its more spacious than I thought too(30−50tables?). My friend and I visited on Sunday morning around 11am. The line was short and we got seated in 10 minutes. For brunch, they offer traditional Benedicts as well as Benedicts/eggs and Middle East fusion. The poached eggs here are just perfectly made!(5⁄5: Round and cute outside and runny inside). Flavors are predictable and price is fair. Highlights: good selection of brunch menu, high quality food with fair price, amazing poached eggs, outdoor seating in east village!

I’ve been wanting to try this place for a long time and I’m glad I did. There is definitely a wait if you’re going to brunch on the weekend. Came here on a Saturday for brunch with a friend and we had to wait 30 minutes. There is a person that takes down your name and will call you when a table is available. I ordered a mimosa($ 6 with a brunch entrée) and the poached egg over potato cake. My friend ordered tomato basil egg white omelette. Everything looked great and tasted flavorful and delicious. The place inside is really busy and you’ll see waiters here and there with food in their hands and etc. Service may be a little slow during peak times, but they’re trying their best to help everyone. Definitely coming back to try some more of their entrees, especially the pumpkin pancakes!

One of my go-to brunch places now. I’ve had the eggs blackstone which was sooo filling and satisfied all my brunch cravings. I’ve also had the millet, which is really tastey and savory, but was on the drier side. Theres also a variety of options on the menu, which made it a perfect place for group brunching. Its always packed, but the wait usually isn’t that long and it goes by pretty quickly. i recommend just waiting it out cus is worth the wait.

How can I not give this place five stars? It’s on st marks place, parking is easy, the food is obnoxiously cheap, especially if you go with one of the specials and despite it always being crowded, the wait is relatively short. This place does reservations for larger groups, but you better call far in advance. We got there at about 1:45pm, were given an eta of 20 minutes and we were seated by about 2:10pm… Not bad considering the line for this place makes you think you’re about to enter a meat packing district nightclub. We ordered out food and got it within 10 minutes. Most of the dishes have similar sides which I guess they mass produce and keep under heat lamps. The poached eggs were perfect as was my wife’s omelette. Portions will allow you to walk away full but you’ll won’t tip any scales. The potato salad is a must try, cocktails are cheap(6 bucks with certain entrees) and coffee is free with certain entrees. Brunch for two with 20% tip was less than $ 40.

I love savory breakfast/brunch options so I ordered the Tunisian eggs and though it was delicious. The bread it came with was so yummy. Definitely recommend this to vegetarians.

This is amongst one of the best brunch spots in the Lower East Side. The place is always full, so don’t expect to be seated right away, average wait time for me has been around 20 minutes. Now to the food!- one of my favorite dishes is the Eggs Norwegian, a tasty comb

Cute and good for brunch. They flip flop on the quality and quantity of the French toast entrée. Sometimes their generous fluffy slices other times their smaller thin slices. Lunch food is good. Not great but good. Had the chicken schnitzel dish recently. It was pretty good. I like the décor and ambiance. This place has a wait on the weekends during brunch hours. The staff are are nice and helpful. There is covered out door seating in the front during warm weather. I would recommend.

This review is not so different from my last, but would just like to appreciate their dog-friendliness. I came back in the summer with 2 other friends, and we had 2 dogs on us. The hostess was very accommodating and seemed like she had a lot of experience seating diners with dogs. She suggested how to situate our pets so that they wouldn’t get in anyone’s way, but we were still able to dine with our pups right next to us! I didn’t order drinks this time, so I can’t say anything about 2nd chances. However, the food was just as great as I remembered it– seems like a pretty solid brunch spot! Service is once again– okay. Not very fast but I understand how busy brunch is. Servers were still welcoming, and knew what they were doing. The wait was about 30 minutes VS last time it was 20 minutes. Come early or be willing to wait a little! It’s St. Marks– go walk around. Before you know it, you’ll have delicious brunch served to you! Definitely recommend & would keep coming back :)

I expected a long wait when I came here with 4 other friends on Saturday at 11am, but we were lucky and got seated right away! It was a fun and bustling atmosphere, perfect for catching up with friends over a delicious meal. I could not for the life of me decide between eggs or pancakes, so my friend and I got the pumpkin pancakes and the Norwegian Benedict to share. Those pumpkin pancakes though!!! Unlike any other pancake I’ve tried. Comes in a stack of 4 thick and dense pieces and covered in cinnamon yogurt. It was almost like eating cake and frosting. I loved how the cinnamon yogurt added a tang to the spicy-sweet flavor of the pancakes. My friend commented on how much the pumpkin taste stood out, unlike many other things that claimed to be pumpkin flavored. Norwegian Benedict was also really really good. The eggs were poached perfectly, with the white nice and firm, and the yolk runny but not out of control. Salmon was fresh and generous in amount. Potatoes in the side were buttery and delicious. Café Orlin has probably become one of my new favorite places for brunch! Would definitely come back in the future.

After my first time loving the home fries & breakfast sandwich, I had to bring my out of town guests for brunch! The home fries were just as tasty but not at all crispy this time(I guess it’s hit or miss) Service was slow ordering and paying, I guess they are busy but this was a bit excessive —poached eggs over potato pancakes with smoked salmon: the pancakes were perfectly crispy unlike the homes fries in my friends dish. Yummy with egg yolks running over them! The salad was not fresh, the leaves were browning a bit(why would they even plate that?) the dish comes with a lot of smoked salmon and yummy dill sauce plus multigrain toast NOTE: Don’t be intimidated by the large crowd outside, we only waited about 30min for 3 people at noon on Sunday(the restaurant Is large with a lot of tables)

Yummy!!! I found this place via Unilocal and I’m so happy I dropped in. Intimate, laid-back environment with lots of variety on their menu. Started off with a pitcher of their white sangria. While it was tasty, I wasn’t as tipsy as I thought I’d be after drinking 3 full glasses. My potato pancakes though? BOMB! Cooked perfectly and packed with so much flavor. Staff was alert + super friendly. I’d recommend if you’re in the area looking for a cute place for brunch! Will def be back in the future!

This is a very busy brunch place on the weekends, so either go early or later to avoid waiting for a table. Plus, they won’t seat you until your entire party is present. I got the salmon with poached eggs and the boy got the omelet with spinach and feta cheese. Obviously, mine was the better choice, although one egg hardened up and wasn’t runny unlike the other one. The omelet wasn’t something I would truly get my mind blown over. My other friend tried the pumpkin pancakes, which were too moist and dense. The pumpkin taste was definitely there, but the texture wasn’t fluffy enough. I didn’t take a picture of the pancakes =(

This is a very popular place for weekend brunch, Sunday brunch in particular. I arrived around 12:30 and there was still a huge gathering of people waiting outside the restaurant. They covered the entire storefront and a bit past it, trying to stay off to the sides but almost blocking the sidewalk anyway. I put my name down with the hostess out front who had a clipboard and paper. She told me the wait would be 20 – 25 minutes for 2 people, but it ended up being longer. Eventually we were seated at the bar. The music selection and atmosphere were lovely. I ordered the steak and eggs. The steak was cooked perfectly to my medium order and my over easy eggs were runny the way I like them. The creamy spinach sauce was an amazing pairing to the meal. The home fries were pretty good, but were a bit oversalted. My friend ordered the two eggs any style and got them done over medium. He commented that they were also cooked exactly the way he liked for yolk consistency. Even though we were sitting at the bar, I had to get the server’s attention to get him to refill our water, but he was friendly and prompt.

There was not a single thing me and my family disliked about this place. The seating is agreeable, the staff is friendly and just the overall air/ambiance of the place is pleasant. Pumpkin Pancakes: super moist & the pumpkin flavor isn’t overwhelming. Plus the cinnamon yogurt is quite genius. A+ for that orange blossom syrup as well Diana’s & Mediterranean breakfast: delicious and simple French Toast: Tastiest French toast I have ever tasted(no joke) Espresso drinks + Mint tea are a must. Especially the iced cappuccino(offered in flavors of vanilla & almond)!

One of my favorite brunch spots! There’s always a crowd waiting for a table here, but if you come as a party of 2, you barely have to wait at all! I think my boyfriend and I waited only 5 – 10 minutes when we arrived during prime brunch hours. We ordered the smoked salmon eggs benedict and the steak and eggs. I’ve never had a bad smoked salmon eggs benedict and Café Orlin’s tasted like the usual. My boyfriend’s steak and eggs was really good! It’s a healthy portion of steak, eggs, and 2 pieces multi-grain bread. The highlight of this dish was the creamy spinach sauce! Don’t use the butter that’s provided for your bread. Instead, take the bread and wipe your plate clean of the green sauce. It’s seriously THAT good!

If you’re reading about Café Orlin chances are you already know that it’s a very good and popular brunch place. It’s not even really necessary for me to say that this place was really yum. I ordered the Middle Eastern breakfast which was healthy and delicious. Ambiance is very cozy despite it being a very large venue. Unfortunately(yet realistically,) you will have to wait a long time for a table. They seated us right by the door and there was a draft every 5 seconds from the constant influx of customers. That honestly was frustrating and it impacted my dining experience. I’d suggest coming during the warmer temperatures if you want a guaranteed, constant ambient temperature while dining. I’d come back here but to me it’s just another«trendy» brunch place.

After being here 4 times over the course of the last 6 months, it’s about time I wrote a review ;) This is my go-to spot for brunch when I want to show up during what I call brunch rush hour. In other words, if it’s Sunday at noon, I don’t have reservations and don’t want to wait for an hour elsewhere, and I’m with a group of 4+, this is my place. My favorite item is the Malawach– I honestly don’t think the menu description does it justice, especially the«fried dough» part(fried dough? For breakfast??)That’s why I never considered it until I tried some off my friend’s plate, and now I get it every time. It’s more like a pancake-like soft pastry with eggs, greens, and tomato dip on top. I haven’t felt it to be too heavy or oily. It’s also a more unique option to traditional eggs/bacon/toast/potato/etc permutations. I haven’t tried much else due to my Malawach obsession ;) and I’ve been here once for dinner but wasn’t convinced I’d do that again. But Café Orlin is a very solid and reliable brunch option, and what more could you wish for brunch?

So I came here with my friend for my first time experience for brunch. I’ve never had it so I wanted to try. When I got there it was a very nice environment. Wasnt too loud our overly quiet. It was quite filled up. The restaurant is quite big. We actually got seated on the other side. I tried a smoked salmon eggs Benedict. I’m a big smoked salmon fanatic so I had to try it. The combo brunch comes with an orange juice and a coffee. I of course got ice Americano. The Benedict came with potatoes too. Presentation on the Benedict was perfect(as should be expected from all brunch spots) The combination with the smoked salmon and poached egg was good. But I have to say that egg was a little over cooked by a little for my standard of poached eggs. Otherwise it was great.

Spending a blissful 4+ lunch here. Came for a Monday brunch, but not feeling particularly hungry, I enjoyed Orlin’s potato pancakes with a fried egg on top. This perfectly seasoned, perfectly crispy potato pancake garners the 5 star review alone. After sipping spiked cider, white wine, some cocktails… my party has decided to hang around for the happy hour specials. All the while, the atmosphere has been calm, never packed, and our server has been exceptionally attentive. Monday afternoons are the only time to eat out.

3.5. This is a good space, with a nice patio. We ordered a sticky bun and marakesh, which were both good and unique. But they had bad bacon. How can you have bad bacon? Bacon is fundamentally good. How can a restaurant mess this up? Especially a brunch place in the East Village? So, Café Orlin, if you are reading this, buy NIMANRANCHBACON! When I did it at home, I was able to make way better bacon than I got at your place. There are probably other distributors as well, but Niman Ranch is good. Fire your current bacon guy.

Came here for brunch with friends and I thought that it was okay. It’s good for NYC but I’ve had better brunch in San Francisco. I got one of their special brunches for the day, which consisted of two poached eggs over bacon, potatoes, and roasted tomatoes. It also came with toast, orange juice, and a choice or tea, cappuccino, or latte. In all, the entrée was $ 17. The food was okay, nothing amazing. But It was nice that the brunch included orange juice and some sort of hot drink. In regards to service and setting, the service was good. We were seen promptly and the food got to us quickly. However, this could be because it wasn’t busy at the time we came(2pm). Also, the restaurant itself is pretty large with a lot of seating. Overall, I give Café Orlin 3⁄5 stars.

with so many amazing brunch and eateries in NYC, its so hard to try new places. Visiting this place was truly incidental and on the suggestion of a great friend. No qualms about it, it was a great decision. the atmosphere is causal and the staff is welcoming. The menu has everything from a variety of eggs and french toasts for breakfast to sandwiches and entrees of Italian, middle eastern dishes, a other cuisines for any time of the day foodie wants. I had the eggs any style(scrambled) which was served with homefries and multi-grain toast. The eggs were fluffy but I have to admit, not being a fan of homefries too often, I was blown away by them. They were full of flavor, crispy and simply wow’d me… Overall, its a small indoor café, yet it feels like you’re sitting outside in a bistro somewhere in Europe. The hosts were attentive, made several stop by’s to check up on us, making the service and care stand out…

SOOOOGOOD! I’ve been waiting years to try this place but I’ve always passed since I hateeee going to busy brunch places that don’t take reservations because there’s nothing worse than waiting over an hour while you’re already hungry as hell. We came here on a Sunday afternoon at around 3pm and there was a 5 minute wait. If you can wait til 3pm, I suggest it because the wait is nothing compared to what it would be at 12−1pm. Plus, brunch is until 4pm! Unfortunately there is no bottomless mimosas or anything, but they do have entrees + drink deals that I cannot remember. I, as always, got eggs benedict, the classic with canadian ham and it was so0o0o yummy. I’ve eaten tons of eggs benedict in the past few years and this was definitely one of the best ones I’ve had! Everything about it was perfect, the bread was soft but not soggy, the egg was nice and runny and the sauce was spot on! The home fries, which I am usually not a fan of, were pretty good as well, especially the crispier ones! My bf got the steak and eggs, it came with some type of green(pesto?) sauce and that was also so0o0o yummy. They cooked the steak well and it was seasoned perfectly! I definitely want to come back again and I recommend this place, but like I said before, if you can wait come later on at around 3pm to save yourself that wait!

OMG. The food here is amazing! Love love love. My friend & I were seated right away but the service itself was average. Took awhile to catch the waitress’s attention to pay our bill(even saw some customers get out of their seats to wait in line by the register). I got the beef/bacon bolognese dish and my friend got the avocado toast. Initially I wanted the Norwegian eggs benedict or potato pancake dish but was sadly informed it was only available certain days for brunch.(I will definitely be back one day to try it!) The OJ is made fresh daily and the raspberry sparkling lemonade was pretty good as well. They also have a good amount of seating indoor(3 rooms) and outdoor.

One of my favorite brunch spots in NYC. Since there are so many reviews on it, what can I tell you that others haven’t said? I’ll keep it brief. 1. Two is the magic number to quickly get a table. 2. Portion sizes are some of the most generous in New York. 3. Middle Eastern Breakfast — I’m so into it. 4. Benedicts are not included in the additional $ 6 cocktail special. 5. You will be sitting extremely close to the table next to you. 6. Service is hit or miss. If you’re looking for a great NYC brunch spot in East Village, come here. Don’t think about it and just do it. It’s delicious, filling, and mimosas are involved. What more could you want?

Moroccan. Mediterranean brunch only. Operates 24⁄7. Over rated. A Saturday afternoon brunch for a party of two was a fifteen minute wait outdoors in the baking hot humid September sky. For Him: Feta Omelet and rye bread with butter $ 13.50– average Americano Cappuccino $ 5.00 For Her: Eggs Benedict $ 16.00– portions were abundant in size and eggs were exaggerated in the«poached» as the yellow yolk is abnormally large Jasmine tea No alcohol libations for either of us Fast table turnover rate due to the high popularity. Be prepared to wait outside for a minimum of ten minutes on average even with a small party of two. Very limited food menu selection as there are no shortage of various versions of Omelets on the list. I never liked Omelets and never actually cared for this entrée dish. Abundant selection of brunch cocktails befit the high noon outside the«it’s five o’clock somewhere on Earth.» My Jasmine tea was not very aromatic as expected and the water was served luke warm rather than piping hot. Waiter service is average. Quality of food is okay. Boisterously loud! Seating is small in a café setting rather than a restaurant. Hipster and yuppies’ hangout.

This was my birthday brunch and I was not at all disappointed. It was super packed on a Sunday, but we were seated at the bar after only about 15 minutes. The noise level was a bit on the high side because it was so crowded. I had the smoked salmon eggs benedict. It was delicious! I really liked their hollandaise sauce and their eggs were poached perfectly. The potatoes that came on the side were super yummy too. Overall, the serving was the perfect size for me. The bartender was quick and very attentive, without being invasive. Plus complimentary orange juice? YES. Definitely a great brunch spot.

Super! Le service est courtois et efficace. Bref, je le recommande chaudement. Hum, des bons bénédictinnes…

This is an excellent Sunday brunch spot and I was surprised we were seated right away upon arrival(without reservation). Their brunch menu is on point and their egg benedict platters come with a complimentary freshly squeezed orange juice, and also your choice of tea or coffee. I was impressed with their tea presentation and their orange juice is personally the best orange juice I’ve had! Their portion sizes are big and their cocktails are strong and delicious. We had the peach Bellini and bloody Maria. The service was very attentive and friendly. We left very full, satisfied and happy! :-) Cheers!!!

A delightful brunch spot — perfect for meeting friends in a cozy atmosphere(groups of 4 or less easiest). Be forewarned, if you arrive aces about 10 on a weekend you’re gonna wait! But it’s nice once seated as they never try and rush you out. Not being an egg person, I tend to gravitate to the sweets — pumpkin pancakes and sticky buns for the win! My coffee loving friends bemoan the fact tags they don’t offer basic drip coffee — but they do make a killer iced tea.

BLUF: My go to brunch spot in East Village. Their egg brunch platters never disappoint and their pumpkin pancakes are prime. Recently went to Café Orlin at 1200 on a Sunday with a party of five and fully expected to have a long wait. Fortunately for us, we arrived just before a large crowd and were seated within five minutes. The café ambience is great. Inside, it is crowded with a lot of tables in the open area, a bar in the rear, and booths lining the sides. Be prepared to be cold if you get stuck in a booth right next to the door like we were. The bitter February wind was brutal. I started off with a hot cider which was a perfect blend of sweet and savory with cinnamon on the rim of the mug. I then ordered an almond milk cappuccino to go with my Eggs Norwegian meal. The entrée consisted of two eggs Benedict on English muffins with a fresh slice of lox. The eggs were the perfect consistency and the salmon was well complemented with the saltiness of the eggs. Definitely returning soon for brunch again!
