ColumbiaDoctors, You got some splainin’ to do!
When I fractured my ankle — i looked up a orthopaedist/​sports med doc on nycmag top doctors — which brought up a doctor at ColumbiaDoctors — however he did not specialize in ankles but they told me they had another doctor on staff who did — so i figured he must be quality as well.
I have two complaints about you ColumbiaDoctors — first the doctor was spankin’ new — and did not cure my ailment, secondly — the staff did not tell me he was in the process of being put on their network (so they filed my claim-​out-​network) and when i got the bill — they gave me the run around– and then told i had to do all the leg work to get it resolved (i need to call my insurance company, get a EOB, and fax it back — meanwhile i received about 4 bills in the mail). On top of all these — they were not forthcoming about what my insurance would cover by using their radiology services (xray, catscan, and aircast) — i have had other doctors tell me what to expect as far as costs in the past… so to make a long story short — my ankle is still messed up and it cost me $ 240 out of pocket.
