Avoid this business. On the face of it an upscale curry hill coffee shop but run by a frightened tyrant who uses words like«retard» and«worthless» to yell at her employees in front of her customers. If you want high priced coffee and 2 day old«fresh brewed tea» this is the spot for you. All dishes served in front a couple of video cameras that I’m told record every move and sound you make. Paranoia at its best. However if you want to support a local business that cares about people you’ll avoid this place like the plague. This is one of those few independent coffee that you are better passing by to find a Starbucks. There is one at 29th and Park.

Great little café that made a great capp. On a side note a crazy man came in and started making threats and they handled it very well.

Came here for an iced latte, I expected stronger tasting espresso since they use Intelligentsia beans, but unfortunately it tasted like a cup of cold milk, with a drop of espresso. I’ve ordered iced lattes before elsewhere, and it usually tasted stronger. Maybe the other coffee items are better, or the barista wasn’t on top of her game.

I am not a big coffee drinker but I like their coffee. We got the cold brew and the ice mocha with white chocolate. Both were delicious. The café is on the 2nd floor. The entrance is a little hidden. Décor was cute with a few tables and seats including a couch. Not very big but has a friendly neighborhood feel to it. Very friendly staff.

$ 5 through PayPal here. The baristas, I will say, are super friendly and the this small coffee shop is quite a cute establishment with open spaces and natural light. I gave an extra star because they have both soy and almond milk options and don’t charge an arm and a leg for it — it’s actually free! I ordered the $ 4 cold brew, wanting something stronger than a watered down iced coffee and after recommendations from the baristas. I put my usual amount of sugar and milk and found that the brew was extremely, extremely sour. Sour to the point where I turned around and asked for more almond milk, thinking this would solve the problem. Nope — still very sour coffee. Now, I did some research just to see if cold brew is supposed to be sour and haven’t really found any case where it should be. Regardless, my preference is never sour coffee and I can’t imagine anyone else’s being so. I downed as much as I could for the caffeine and tossed the rest. Quite disappointed given the great ratings for this place, but I will give it another try next time.

Great ambience. Murray Hill can definitely do with this place and it’s in a great location for both the coffee on the way to the commute and even better to spend a weekend afternoon reading. The coffee was good, and promises only to get even better. I’ll be back for sure.

The sign outside had me at grilled cheese… even though I have yet to try one! I did check out the place though, and it seems super chill. It has wifi and delicious coffee, although I have been shaking for the last hour, maybe next time I will go half-caf! Cool to see that it doing Unilocal check-in offers and paypal, scoutmob next?

FINALLY! It’s been a long-time coming that Curry Hill finally expanded out to something else than Indian food. This is absolutely the most perfect little coffee shop that I’ve been looking for [and had to instead resort to going to the Starbucks on 28th and 3rd] to have a great latte and work. It’s right above Chinese Mirch and has just enough seating that you can bring a couple of friends to chat, but you’ll never have to worry about it getting crowded if you’re trying to work. Gets LOTS of natural sunlight and is really nice and airy. I Met one of the owners, Vick, and he is super sweet. His wife was at the counter one of the days before, and she is really friendly and lovely as well. The prices are incredibly affordable, and coffee/pastries are delicious. Huge plus: They don’t charge extra for soy milk! I had a medium latte with soy milk and a crazy good orange brioche pastry on my first stop-by for about $ 6.00, and I was sold then. Excited to be a regular at this place for sure.

Just noticed this place on my way to work. Adorable café with the nicest staff! I was unhappy with my order this morning and they were SONICE about me asking for something different, even though I felt terrible about it! The ice tea is super great, it’s nicely concentrated so that it’s good even when the ice is all melted! Thanks so much!

Saved the Unilocal checkin for another day when redeeming my PayPal offer here as Desi Galli prepared my food. Charming little spot run by a charming female on my visit, and I figured I’d capitalize on the 25% off(Balthazar!) pastries from 3 – 5(may have misread, because that seems like an odd window). Enjoyed the almond croissant and the oat scone, and will check out Morris Grilled Cheese and some of the other well-sourced items at this spot atop the stairs. Scone — Item #INV2-XHAS-TYDB-36AM-3M3N $ 2.06 Croissant — Item #INV2-QT9M-2JZL-JKKG-MVYU $ 2.62 Special Offer -$ 4.68

Quiet on a weekday morning. Music playing in the background. Several round tables available. A few moms with baby in tow were chatting over their morning coffee. Balthazar pastries available. Menu prices include tax: Scones($ 2.75), Croissants($ 3.50). –Oatmeal Raisin Scone: Very hearty and tasty. Good breakfast.

I’ve lived in this neighborhood for 2 years and I am so happy this place exists! They’ve brought together the best of the best. Intellegensia has amazing coffee, Balthazar has the best pastries and the grilled cheeses sound so delicious! I walked by this place while walking my dog, I asked if I could bring her inside too and the staff was very welcoming. They said the DOH would not allow dogs to stay here but we can bring her in if we’re taking something to go. That is a huge plus for dogowners. Free WiFi and enough seating for 8 people. Can’t wait to come back to try their sandwiches!

Found this place today on the way back to my office on Murray Hill. It was a miracle. This neighborhood hasn’t had good coffee previously; now we have Intelligensia! I tried their house blend drip, americano and flat white – all were absolutely fantastic. Please go there and enjoy your caffeine the way you should, with great artisanship.
