Was in the area for some Saturday events, and decided to pop in here to watch some of the one of the big horse races. The sign outside was promising Mint Juleps for the occasion, so why not? I shouldn’t have. The Mint julep was quite sweet and didn’t have wasn’t very fragrant from the muddled mint and the mint was quite lost in every sip due to the overpowering sweetness. The busboy behind the bar was very attentive though, I just wish the advertised drink was made in a better manner!

Dorlan’s is my new favorite spot for oysters. They have a great happy hour(½ dozen and a beer/wine for $ 15). The oysters were expertly shucked; the wine was quality; the staff was friendly; the music was good(but not obtrusive). Oh. And they have a full bar.

Stopped in today and had great Buffalo shrimp and a few beers. Prices are good for touristy area and place was busy but staff was attentive. Will be back soon with the GF for more Sam Summer and Sangria. Will try the oysters next time

Easygoing place with decent food . The location is perfect and its by the seaport. The service was very friendly but lacked in etiquette(make sure everyone has silverware and don’t pick up the coffee cup by the rim to take it away for refill). The décor is nice but the chairs are extremely uncomfortable and it was almost entertaining watching the patrons shifting uncomfortably throughout our brunch.

Yes! All day. Everyday! It’s awesome. Accommodating, friendly, great beers on tap, food so good I had to order twice.

I live in the area and was hoping for a good go to place when I didn’t want to think about dinner. This was just«ok» and I think there are better places in the area. My husband had a burger he liked the fries, but the burger had to be returned because a sauce that wasn’t noted on the menu. It was also under cooked for his liking. Both my sister and I got the lobster mac and cheese which surprising had a nice mix of shrimp, scallops and lobster and I liked the Ritz topping. However the overall dish tasted like watered down or boxed mac and cheese, something was just off about it. The beers were ok and so where the prices I just don’t think I’d return unless it’s for a happy hour or something.

2 stars just for the delirium beer! We were sitting here for 20 minutes without menus. I don’t usually complain since I work in this industry myself and hate pointless complaints. Don’t eat here. My friends ordered grilled shrimp entrée and it was not even grilled first of all, the chorizo and mushroom and red sauce makes such a bad combination for that dish that we had to return it and ordered seafood combo instead which was even worst cause all the calamari is frozen and has no flavor($ 27) we had a bit cause we were starving, I had a burger and ordered it med-rare with Swiss and it came well done with cheddar. We didn’t touch the combo and just decided to leave. No hospitality here. No good food here. Bye now.

Great ambiance and fresh oysters but… 1. During dinner service, someone cranked up all the dining room lights and no one seemed to know how to turn it off. 2. When waiter was asked what’s the Cabernet they serving by the glass, he had no idea and just brought the bottle for me to look at. Decided to take it and he gives me the rest of the bottom left including sediment. I really hate that. 3. Oysters were amazingly fresh but again, staff not very well versed in describing tastes… only that they are«large, medium and small». I had a good chuckle with that. 4. Of course waitress’s trips and spills an entire order of food at my next table. 5. After paying and walking out, trying to find a hostess/host to get a toothpick and no one was around. Food is great but service needs work. Doubt we would come again nor would I host any dinners here.

Make this a happy hour with munchies stop but skip it for dinner. Friendly wait staff and good beers/drinks. Oysters are top notch and fresh. Dinner options are limited and not a lot of salads or vegetables to offer. If you like fried chicken fingers, one steak offering or fish and chips then your in luck, otherwise take it across the street for a better dinner selection. They do like their French fries here, they are on nearly every plate. Seating is wooden chairs and not that comfortable after sitting for a few minutes. Seems to draw a younger crowd, lots of hipsters at the bar and communal tables. Seating is cozy so be prepared for folks at adjacent table to hear your conversation and check out your food throughout dinner.

Some of the best oysters around… Friendly service and great atmosphere. Would travel back to NYC just for a few more of the broiled oysters!

The food was good, nothing mind blowing. My wife got the lobster scramble which in her opinion could of been a little more seasoned. My huevos rancheros were very tasty and fresh. Wish we could of got our popcorn shrimp, server forgot and put the wrong thing in. She was very friendly I will say. Other than that don’t have much to say about this place. They really should expand their happy hour drinks.

After a terrible experience somewhere nearby, my coworkers and I decided to come here for their oyster happy hour. They have«Rhode Island» and«New York» oysters. I prefer their NY oysters because there’s more«meat.» Out waitress was lovely, though I forgot her name. Let’s call her Evita. Evita was humble and charming. She made our terrible experience beforehand go away instantly. Their oyster happy hour is a splendid deal: $ 15 for half a dozen AND a choice of beer or wine. I recommend oyster lovers to come check this place out. Aside from their oysters, I ordered a plate of chicken tenders. Their tenders are delicious. They had the right amount of crunch and tenderness. If you’re tight on budget, like myself, order their oyster happy hour and chicken tenders. You will not regret it.

While the location seemed fun and the atmosphere looked very bar like, the food was overpriced for the product and the drinks were so expensive. The food was good, just expect to spend quite a bit more than if you got the same food in the East Village. Was a bit disappointed in the 12 dollar Moscow mule… Very small.

Craving seafood and oysters and found this place. Lobster roll was delicious and oysters too. My son had the lobster mac & cheese and loved it. Crispy seafood basket is your ultimate fried seafood treat. We’ll go back again.

Stopped in here not knowing what I was going to order… I didn’t want anything in particular, but I’m a sucker for anything lobster so I was really happy with the menu. I ended up getting two lobster rolls and a glass of wine. SO good! Just as good as Luke’s Lobster lobster and crab rolls. I would definitely recommend trying one. I really want to try the oysters, but I think I need to come with someone else in case I don’t like them. I’m looking forward to coming back soon and trying different things on the menu. Hopefully I’ll be updating this review in a week or two!

I would say more like 3 ½ Stars. Cute, Cozy place. Pretty good American/bar food, my Housemade Veggie Burger was ok, fell apart though as soon as l picked it up, ended up eating it with a fork. Fries were good, the mac n’cheese was ok. Chicken fingers, juicy & tasty. I passed on desserts since they weren’t anything great, typical, cheesecake & chocolate cheesecake, that’s it.

Great atmosphere, nice and relaxed and a terrific bartender. I wasn’t sure what oyster to order and the bartender had some exceptional recommendations. It ended up being a great place to kill some time and escaping the tourist areas before going out to the statue of liberty

Came here the weekend of storm Jonas as they were one of the only restaurants open and happen to be one of my favorite local spots. The place was packed but the staff went out of their way to be helpful and accommodating. I really can’t say enough good things about this place. It has a very cozy friendly vibe. The drinks are good, the oysters are great and the mains are tasty and good portions. They were also very accommodating to my dairy intolerance and made the side in olive oil instead of butter.

Excellent little spot. Great food, excellent beer and wonderful atmosphere. The menu offers a little bit of everything. The lobster Mac and meatball app is a must try! Not to mention all the fresh oysters on the menu. Stop in!

My friend and I were walking around the Southstreet Seaport area trying to find a restaurant that wasn’t overly crowded with tourists and also had lobster rolls. We ventured into this place on a whim. The dining room was casual and cute, albeit a bit dark. Service was really friendly and the manager was walking around smiling and talking to tables. I ordered the lobster roll and my friend got the shrimp po’ boy. My lobster roll was missing the side of coleslaw(I guess they were out?). While the portion sizes were large, neither of our meals were that great. My old bay chips had no distinct flavor other than oil and a hint of salt. The lobster was overcooked and the bread was overpowering. My friend ate only about ½ of her sandwich and didn’t ask to take the remainder home, if that tells you anything. Also, the pours on the alcohol were skimpy. I hope our meals aren’t a reflection of the food typically served here. The food wasn’t terrible, but you’d have to twist my arm to come back.
