In short, I had an order to go of a dinner special, suppose to have come with soup, burger with fries and desert. They didn’t even pack the soup and desert and the burger and fries were worse than fast food, don’t waste your money here!!!

BEWARE of this restaurant if you don’t tell the staff numerous times that you will leave a tip. I went to this place for drinks with a group of friends who were visiting NYC. It was not too busy, but it still took about 15 minutes for the waitress to come over and take our order, but she was not very interested in it since we didn’t order food. She left and asked the bartender to come over and take the order. To make a long story short, it took about 45 minutes for the drinks to arrive. They were all wrong and the wine was served in a glass that appeared to be from the $ 2.99 breakfast special. The bartended made sure to advise us that the service charge was not included in the price. I paid the bill and crossed out the«tip» portion since we were leaving a cash tip. Some people went outside for a cigarette and the baseball hat-wearing bartender ran outside to tell them again that the service charge was not included. It was my first time there and I guess the last, but it was probably something the staff was accustomed to customers being disappointed and walking out…

The food was amazing. The porterhouse really was great and huge. More importantly the service really stuck out. Everyone was so genuine and really cared about the experience we were having.

I went for lunch. They had a special: «Roast Chicken Whole Wheat Wrap with Onion and Jalapeño». I ordered it. It arrived. I took one bite and was surprised and grossed-out. It was hot. Hot and greasy. Pretty much the opposite of what a Whole Wheat wrap should ever be. It was filled with oily pieces of chicken mixed in with some equally oily onions and peppers. I took one bite. Just one. The waitress came over and asked how I liked it and I told her I didn’t like it. Wraps are not usually served hot. She just shrugged and walked away. Didn’t offer to replace it. Didn’t offer to take it off my bill. Just shrugged. Then another person(manager?) came by and asked if I liked it. I told her«No. If a wrap is to be served hot, it should be indicated on the menu.» She agreed and asked if I wanted anything else. I just asked for the check. They charged me $ 12 for that wrap! No discount. No offer to take it off the bill. This place is crazy.

Can’t comment on the food — made a Thanksgiving reservation for 8 at 8pm(4 kids, 2 families). Made it one month in advance, confirmed the night before as we were traveling to NY for a basketball tournament. Received a call on Thanksgiving day at NOON saying they were closing at 6 and we had to now come in at 4:30 — hard since that’s when the basketball tournament started. Asked to speak to owner, Edward who was rude and uncaring about the situation. So disappointed that they moved our reservation with 4.5 hours notice — thanks for a memorable Thanksgiving Edwards #NOT

Yum but cramped! I was in NYC visiting friends and we happened upon this brunch spot. I ordered an omelette and it came with salad and fries which is very different from what I am used to. Usually I get toast and home fries. The food and service was great, but good gracious it is CRAMPED in there. I couldn’t even take off my jacket without bumping into 5 different people. Relatively inexpensive for brunch in NYC too. I would go back!

So disappointing, the coffee is worse than at a train station and the food is really low quality.

I’ve now visited this restaurant twice for brunch and have enjoyed my experience both times. The restaurant seems to be populated mostly by locals, which is nice for someone looking to avoid the touristy crowds in the area. The service is just right — the waitstaff doesn’t hover, yet they always bring the food and drinks in a timely fashion. The food is hearty and delicious, but my only complaint is that it’s a bit pricey. I understand the neighborhood is upscale, but I still feel that it’s overpriced, especially because the dishes aren’t overly complicated or spectacular. However, if you’re looking for a solid place for classic American dishes at brunch, I would recommend this place.

We used to live in the neighborhood and this was a favorite restaurant. Very disappointing return. Steak was burnt on outside and undercooked on inside, soup was bland, and service was, well, not great. Put it this way, rather than a greeting of «hello», «good evening», etc., we were met with a «just two?». And that was about as good as it got. Very sorry to say that — after years of loving and recommending Edwards — it’s off the list.

Came here for Cincinnati night — which they have once a month with Skyline Chili and Graeter’s Ice Cream. All of this was new to me, but a friend went to Ohio State and apparently these two brands are huge over there. Unfortunately this place disappointed me a bunch. First off, we had a 7:30 reservation for a party of 6 but didn’t sit down until after 8:00. I get that they’re busy and the seating time isn’t guaranteed but once we got seated, no one was in a hurry to get us water or take our order. And the place was no longer crowded. So there’s really not much of an excuse for that. We flagged someone down for water and he did promptly take our order since we were all ready by that point. We had the homemade potato chip and bbq sauce appetizer(you dip the potato chips in the bbq sauce). And it was okay. But it was just potato chips and bbq sauce. Not much to say there. I had to get the chili since it’s the staple of Cincinnati night. It comes 3-way, 4-way, or 5-way(meaning the toppings on it). I went all out and got the 5-way which came with Skyline chili, spaghetti?!(odd), cheese, onions and beans. There really wasn’t much chili if any. It was all of the other toppings. And it was $ 15! The boyfriend had the ribs which were a very small portion but priced at $ 19. I think they’re frozen overnight shipped from Cincinnati so I guess that’s why such a high price point. For dessert we had the ice cream which is $ 6 for a very small portion(also from Ohio so therefore expensive for not much of a portion). I got the mint chip and the chips were great they were soft chunks of chocolate. The mint ice cream was more like vanilla. It was really tasty, but it was not mint flavored at all. My friend agreed. In the end, I’m glad I came and tried it. But nothing to write home about.

Food was okay. Service was inattentive. I needed to get up twice to get the server’s attention.

Great friendly place to have lunch or have a beer! Ronaldo is one of the awesome bartenders and he gave amazing service. I order the chicken penne pasta and it came out nice and hot. They made it fast but it wasn’t sloppy. Great prices for food and beer. I recommend for groups to go, the atmosphere is very upbeat and very engaging.

Ever wonder to yourself«Where can I get mediocre food from an uninspired menu, served by indifferent wait staff in TriBeCa?» Well, have I got the place for you: Edward’s! — During the tail end of a weekday lunch, no hostess greeted patrons. We seated ourselves at the bar, despite the fact that only 4 tables were occupied. — The two servers behind the bar barely glanced our way until we motioned that we would like service. — My beer arrived with 1⁄3 a glass of head. REALLY? — Food was so bland, we could not finish half of it — During the middle of our meal, our server silently removed the condiments from in front of us — the ones we were still using — to behind the bar. WTF? Clearly, the wait staff needs training in the service industry. If you expect to get paid to work in a restaurant, please get up to speed or please put yourself through art/acting/The Voice school some other way. Management would do well to take better notice of this shortcoming.

One of my go to places by the job. Usually go to hide out when the going gets tough at work. Plus it’s several blocks away and you know you won’t bump into anyone you know. The food is delicious here. I think of it like our guilty pleasure and hidden escape. Guilty pleasure because they have a grilled cheese with tomato and cheddar sandwich on sour dough bread that’s to diiiiiiiiieeeee for. Comes with a side of fries. They serve wine here as well. I compliment the sandwich with a nice glass of cold pino grigio. Calamari is also delicious and if I want to be really bad lets get the guacamole and chips. All super tasty. During lunch it’s pretty busy and they have outdoor seating. But I like sitting indoors. Don’t need to hear the crazy NYC traffic. Owner usually sitting at the bar. Parking is not good in the area. Take the train. There is always a special menu. Although nothing has ever really caught my mind since I tend to stick to the grilled cheese. Go you won’t regret it.

Came here for lunch to meet a few friends in the afternoon on a Tuesday. It wasn’t as busy as it is when I pass by at lunch, but it was peaceful. All the windows and doors were open which was nice, but it was a very hot day so I would have preferred a little AC(#spoiled). The menu has something for everyone and was an equal balance of healthy choices and indulgent choices. My friends ordered the Huevos Rancheros and a cheeseburger with fries. I ordered the Nicoise salad. They both enjoyed their meals, and I THOROUGHLY enjoyed stealing a few of my friends fries. They were REALLY great fries. My Nicoise salad was topped with beautiful rare seared tuna and was so fresh and delicious, I can’t wait to order it again, although the portion was a bit on the smaller side. Prices were very reasonable for a Tribeca restaurant and I will be back again. Definitely recommend if you are in the area for a sit down casual lunch.

Stopped in as I was walking north after a visit to One World Observatory on a tourist day. I sat at the bar and asked the bar tender if there was an outlet I could plug my phone in. There’s one at the end furthest from the door, so I got a full charge while there which was great. Great customer service. The bar tender was always nearby and refilled my soda without me requesting. I ordered the grilled fresh tuna(photo posted). I got the sautéed broccoli on the side rather than the cole slaw. No up-charge for the change, which was nice. The tuna was excellent and they served it very rare, per my order. The wasabi mayo was a perfect amount of spice(I like spicy things). And the bread was soft in the middle but had an excellent crunchy crust. The veggies on the sandwich were fresh, crunchy, and there were a lot of tomatoes(I love tomatoes) so the sandwich was happily filling. They even had the NY Times at the bar so I read that while waiting, and even after I had finished eating. Overall a great meal. I arrived around 1 pm and it held me over until dinner around 9:30 pm. Would definitely go again.

3.5 stars. Very friendly staff, comfy booths, tasty Huevos Rancheros. This casual diner/restaurant must face tough brunch competition with Petite Abeille right next door and Odeon across the street, but Edward’s offers different items that the others don’t, such as Huevos Rancheros. It was pretty slow mid-afternoon(as it is in most restaurants), so there was an easy, laidback ambiance, which would agree well with families, kids, tourists, etc. who want a leisurely break. You will miss out on a view, however, because the seating is in the back, away from any windows. Instead of the listed $ 12, my entrée actually came out to $ 13.30 before tax… not sure how that happened, but whatevs. MyCheck receipt, pre-tax and special PayPal offer: Huevos Rancheros: $ 14.00 Discount: -$ 0.70 SubTotal: $ 13.30

Edward’s is a cute little café in Tribeca with great service and solid food options. I met my friend for lunch on a Friday and we were able to get a seat without a reservation. Though the tables are a bit tight, it made the dining experience more intimate. I opted for the Crispy Chicken Fingers with fries and salad(the fries were awesome!) and my friend ordered the Portobello Sandwich. For $ 30 we had a really nice lunch and I can’t wait to go back!
