This has been my 4th time participating in this wonderful event. Although it seemed like there weren’t as many sponsors, it still felt great to be a part of such an amazing event. To also be able to give hugs to survivors is just surreal. The tears, The smiles.. Such ajoyful moment that I’m glad I was a part of

********** My 350th Review! ********** On May 52012, 20,000 people participated in the 18th Annual EIF Revlon Run/Walk in New York City. The Revlon Run/Walk is one of the nation’s largest single-day fundraisers, distributing over $ 65 million to support women’s cancer research, counseling and outreach programs. The 5K begins in Times Square and finishes off in Central Park. I had the pleasure of leading my corporate Team for our first time participating at the Revlon Run/Walk. As a team leader, Revlon did a great job of constant communication regarding meeting spots, t-shirt/bib pickups, and any other questions you might have. They took over all of Times Square, from 42nd to 47th St for the beginning of the run. The opening ceremony was kicked off by the Revlon ambassadors –Emma Stone, Olivia Wilde, and Jimmy Fallon — followed by a huge burst of red/white confetti in the air. The main stage was also showcased on digital screens along the sides of buildings, so everyone in the area could have a good look at the festivities. Once the race was off, there was quite a bottleneck from 45th to 53rd St, but once the streets widened out, we were off! The Revlon Run/Walk was a fabulous experience and it was an inspiration to walk alongside survivors and those currently fighting cancer. The unity, emotion and hope could be felt among all the participants. My team and I truly had a fantastic time meeting one another and participating in the spirit of it all. Please note that none of the $ 35 registration fee goes towards the cause — so make sure you fundraise! Let’s kick cancer’s bootayyyyy!
