This Unilocal Elite event takes us to West Village’s famed Bleecker St, where Village Prime establishes itself as the go-to hotspot for steak in the W. Village. The exterior is sleek and white, playing a surprisingly nice contrast to the comforting evening lighting and industrial/wood-adorned décor best reserved for what would make for a great date night. Upon entering, we were treated to a choice of beverages as bourbon & ginger/soda, etc. This venue unlike many others was low-key, capping off at around 25 or so guests, making for an intimate affair, with which to hold a conversation amongst Unilocal Elites and actually getting to know others better. It was also held in the private covered patio dining area. Certainly a nice space for brunch or dinner, weather permitting and the night was warm enough for a night out. On-hand were samplers of their fan favorite appetizers and entrées, like mixed green salad, baked clams, mussels, salmon, steak. To round out the evening, dessert was served, namely chocolate cake and carrot cake. A big thanks to Unilocal NYC& the management of Village Prime for putting this event together.

Jezze Louise!!! This event made me feel like it was my birthday! I went to Village Prime straight from work. It is located in West Village. When I first walked in I thought I had the wrong day. The restaurant is beautiful but there was only a few people spread out. The staff was super sweet and they pointed me to the right direction. I was pleasently surprised to be directed into the garden and given a whisky, ginger before I even stepped into the garden. There was just an intimate group of Unilocalers. Food must’ve just came out because everyone was crowded around the table. I made my way up to the grub and my jaw dropped! Is that BURRATA!!! Burratta is an exquisite mixture of mozzarella and cream. The burrata was placed on a beautiful, juicy and equal width slice of tomato and a drizzle of thick and creamy balsamic. Yum! The salad was also a great mixture of raddichio and roasted vegetables. Then came out the warm brothy bowls covered in mussels. At that point I knew that Village Prime wasn’t holding back. There was plenty of bowls of mussels for all the hungry Unilocalers. And then came the perfect crusty bread to soak up the broth. Then the stars of the show arrived. Salmon! Salmon at a Unilocal event? I just arrived to Unilocal Elite heaven! I am a huge sucker for salmon since, I am originally from the northwest. It was mouthwatering and on a bed of super buttery mashed potatoes and sauteed greens. I felt so lucky to be part of this event. I was completely in food coma mode. And the whisky, sodas were also consistenly being refreshed. The staff was phenomenal. Then the dessert arrived and I was busting at the seams. But I squeezed a nibble of carrot cake along with some strawberry. The chef Vincent Ricciardelli truly out did himself. Thank you so much for the beautiful and delicous food! Thank you Village Prime for such a wonderful night! Thanks as always to the Unilocal Elite and last but not least Ruggy for organizing this wonderful event. You truly out did yourself!

Village Prime is a classy restaurant that welcomed us in for a cozy night of eats and drinks. No uncouth primates or villagers allowed! seewhatididthere ha. The restaurant itself has a narrowish low-lit glowing dining room stretch far from street side to the bak. However the Unilocal event took over that quaint and intimate outdoor garden space — it comfortably housed about 20 – 25 for the event – several tables, garden setting(greenery abound) and brick/stone finish underfoot. Definitely a great ambience for brunch or dinner on warm spring, summer, or fall days and evenings. I like. Ruggy and team quickly checked us in and encourage to eat, drink, and be merry. We basically had courses served on a common table that was set up that we could photograph the dishes then serve ourselves and eat the tables or standing up. I really loved the flow of the dishes as it was on tempo with a cool Fall evening in the West Village. I really enjoyed the baked clams stuffed delicately and full of savory goodness and flavor. The tomato basil burrata(CHEESE yo!) also an excellent dish that we had the fortune to be served. There was a light salad served, not my thing so i passed on it – but heaps of greenery, chickpeas, and fall veggies were consumed by other Unilocal folk. The mussels were pretty on point and the broth they were served with made perfect deeping«sauce» for the huge chunks of bread that were plated for us. NOTHINGLIKECARBYSAVORY eating! Just when I thought it couldn’t get any better – dishes of salmon and steak came out. Can’t say no to perfectly cooked proteins which were of course a nice way to round out the evening’s eats. There was a dessert course of a carrot cake or chocolate mousse cake – I could eat much of either… too full. However for you dessert hounds – your sugar tooth will be sated here. Drink choices of the night: Bourbon with soda or Bourbon with Ginger Ale. I stuck with Bourbon and Soda since it was less sugary. Drinks flowed freely through the night as they were brought out via waiters. The service and staff were great. Super friendly. Talked to us about the foods on the menu. Basically they kicked ass by keeping our glasses full of bourbon and our plates full of yummy eats throughout the evening. Lots of hustle with smiles. Very cool. The owners spoke a little about the restaurant and did note that they did a boozy brunch on Sunday. Sounded like a great deal on quality food and brunch cocktail/s. Hard to find these days as all AYCD brunch places are crammed to the gills. Big thanks to the staff and owners of Village Prime who made us feel most welcome on a cool October night. And kudos to Ruggy and team for pulling off another event without a hitch! Drops mic cuz i got no mo’ to say. i out. zzz.

Awesome intimate elite event with 20 fellow Unilocalers at Village Prime! Loved the outdoor patio at the back for the event. The staff there were so nice and offered me a bourbon with soda right when I walked in. Everything was amazing for this event. The food, 6 courses, more than enough for everyone, drinks, the atmosphere, the weather, the staff, the people. It’s just get better and better every Unilocal event elite I go! The appetizer, baked clams with stuffing, was pretty good with a mild taste to it. I don’t know what the stuffing was, but it was good going with the bourbon. The 2nd course was a house salad with chickpeas and pumpkin. Some greens in there was bitter, but I love pumpkin!!! it’s that time of the year. Bring out everything with pumpkin in it! The 3rd course was a Tomato Basil Burratta. Again, very well presented. The buratta was very light, soft and tasty. The tomato was a fresh, nice balance to the dish and a nice finish. The 4th course was a Mussels Mariniere. Very salty and savory. They brought out bowls and bowls of them out, non stop mussels. Everyone seemed to love them. When I thought the mussels was the main meal and was time for dessert, the real entrée came out, 5th course. Scottish Salmon, Skirt Steaks and mashed potatoes. OMG! The salmon was crunchy on the outside, not to mention the skin on top! The inside was just cooked to perfection and still soft and juicy. The steak slices was very tender and juicy. The buttery mash potatoes was a bonus and always yummy. By the time the dessert came out, 6th course: carrot cake, chocolate cake, and one other kind of cake, I had no room for them. But I heard nothing but good comments about them. Big shout out to Village Prime. Definitely going back. Quality food with amazing atmosphere.
