I came here with a Scoutmob deal a couple of weeks ago. The staff was extremely friendly, really helpful with my questions and accommodating the changes I wanted to one of their savory crepes. However, you can definitely find better crepes in NYC. I took mine to go and they got cold pretty quickly. Also, the savory crêpe was really lacking in flavor and I felt like I was eating the pancake most of the time, not the fillings inside.

The nutlla crêpe was pretty plain for $ 9, i think this place is a tad overhyped. I was surrpised at how little nutella was actually in it. The server was still very gracious and that was a plus, I felt very welcomed there. I’ll be back for $ 5 nutella tuesdays

I used a Groupon deal in that place. I was very wary but ended up very pleasantly surprises. Their crepes are really good, especially the sweet ones and the waiters are super nice, letting you configure every single aspect of your crêpe. I ended with a crêpe with pear, vanilla ice cream, warm dark chocolate fudge and whipped cream. Awesome! Without a deal, the place is pretty expensive though, so while the price level was appropriate with the Groupon deal I got, I am not sure I would go back without a discount.

Super tasty! Just kind of hot when sitting in there– maybe turn up the AC during the summer?

So overrated! I was really excited to try their crepes since there are so many positive reviews. However, I was so disappointed! The crepes are expensive [$ 7 – 10] and they aren’t even good. I ordered the dulce de leche crêpe and it took about 15 minutes for my crêpe to be made. There weren’t that many people in the restaurant and most already had their crepes so I don’t know why it took so long. The crêpe itself was way too crispy and stiff– a crêpe is not supposed to taste like a cracker. The caramel was also super sweet and the thin, pathetic crêpe didn’t help. This place was super disappointing. There are so many other great places in New York that can offer much better crepes. Food: 1 Value: 1 Service: 1 Overall: 1

pretty expensive compare to other places we go… maybe this is NY normal $ 8 for simple Nutella crêpe, anything & everything is extra I believe most of the places in SF has fruits or ice cream or toppings inside and the price is included… not just one sauce… nothing special, saw the staff broke 2 crêpe had to remake, very slow… and left my fruits on heat too long it was warm… if anyone tried Japanese crêpe before, what they have is really not so great…

3.5 stars. Not bad, not great = decent. The crepes are very small, they taste decent but nothing to wow about. I got salmon, crème cheese and capers — was quite good but left me craving for more. My gf had something with an egg. I found it weird that the egg was distributed in a thing layer of the crêpe so that it had minimal barely discernible flavour. Coffee was not bad. A bit too corporate even though they are trying hard to have that french café look and feel.

Me love Crêpe, especially good ones! Vive La Crêpe has some really original flavors of crêpe such as prociutto and potato, smoked salmon and cream cheese, mocha, etc. We tried the prociutto one and the smoked salmon crepes and they are both delicious and are good sizes. I have to say the price is a little steep; it is more than a regular sandwich. But the flavors are good and the atmosphere is very café-like. I think my crêpe is $ 9 and if you get a peanut butter crêpe it is $ 7. This is almost like the rich’s snacks when Mamoun’s only charge $ 5 for a shawarma sandwich.

Not the best, I tried their #8 salmon/cream cheese/spinach/capers — which came out better than expected but still not that great. I also got the standard nutella crêpe and their dulce de leche crêpe with strawberries along with a cup of orange juice on the side. To be honest I think I’ve had better crepes at the crooked tree.

It’s a small place. Barely any seats. Service was excellent. From the Savory Crepes: We had #8 and #9. For #8: I liked the smoked salmon and capers, I thought it went well together. The saltiness from the capers helps gives the crêpe flavor since it’s just a bunch of flour. However, I didn’t like the cream cheese as much. That didn’t fit. For #9: Pesto, tomato, and spinach definitely went well together. I wished that the chicken cubes were a little hotter. I felt like mine was a little on the cold side. Chicken was dry. If they could put rotisserie chicken meat in it, it would taste awesome! For the sweet crepes: We had Apple cinnamon with walnuts and bananas & Nutella with bananas. The apple cinnamon caught me by surprise because it was actual whole apple slices. I wasn’t expecting it at all. The apple cinnamon didn’t make the crêpe overly sweet. In fact, it wasn’t sweet enough. The nutella crêpe is as usual, can’t go wrong with it. I liked how they made the crêpe though, more on the crunchy side without making it burnt. I would definitely recommend coming back here only one more time. The pricing I was not happy with. It’s expensive for crepes at this place. Should be $ 2 cheaper.

Our nutella with banana crêpe was delish. This was after they remembered to put in the bananas. So we ended up getting 2 crepes: a nutells crêpe, then a nutella with banana crêpe. The nutella crêpe got cold and hard really fast. The nutella with banana crêpe stayed warm and moist for a long time, and was pretty good. The chicken, guerye cheese, pesto and tomato crêpe was ehh. The pesto was all that gave the crêpe a flavor. The chicken had absolutely no flavor whatsoever. The crêpe texture on the first bite was amazing, but dropped with every subsequent bite. For the prices, I would not come back, unless I was strongly craving eating a crêpe without a plate. Luckily, I had the kgbdeals with my friend. I can understand the novelty and idea of eating it out of cardboard, but this definitely makes it hard to share. kgbdeals ftw.

Woofreakinhoo! I love crepes, and this place does ‘em good. Served in a triangular paper holder, these things come packed with filling – I got the smoked salmon with cream cheese, spinach, tomato, and capers(a French variation of the classic Jewish«Bagel and Lox») and my friend got the chicken and pesto. Both were delicious, savory, and fresh. Simple too – just a few ingredients go a long way. They also make them right in front of you so you know exactly what’s going in it. We got a Nutella and banana crêpe for dessert too, which we absolutely demolished. I mean, you can’t really go wrong with anything Nutella, but still. It was better than eating it straight from the jar at home… which is what I do normally… watching TV… alone…*sniff*… The ambiance is nice as well. Cute is the best way to describe it; it has that… je né sais quois…(I just wanted to say that). Rustic Parisian, I think, is what they were going for. I felt the vibe and I liked it. Anyway, this place is good stuff. Hopefully they’ll open up another location in midtown, it seems as though they’re expanding.

Vive La Crêpe — how I love thee. A good friend of mine and I have a slight obsession with Vive La Crêpe. Every time we’ve been out for a few cocktails, one of us ‘talks the other one into’ going to have a late night snack. Our snack of choice? A freshly made Nutella & Banana Crêpe, of course. They are insanely good and ever so addictive. The staff are always nice and the crepes usually arrive in our hot little hands in about 5 minutes. We always eat in, and the friendly cashier usually delivers our snack to us. Thank you, sir! I’m not one to complain about price because I’m a strong believer in getting what you pay for, and for $ 7, you are treated to a little slice of crêpe heaven. They are well worth the price. Enjoy!

I went to Paris in November 2007. On my first day there, my friend and I wandered down to Notre Dame. Stomachs grumbling, we found a crêpe street vendor and asked for their best-seller. We got a banana-nutella crêpe, made hot and fresh right in front of us. Biting into it was a life-altering experience. We ended up having the same crêpe every day we were there. It’s a multi-sensory memory of Paris that I’ll never shake. That said, I’ve never had a freshly-made crêpe since. Wandering down 7th Avenue late one night, my bf and I decided to satisfy our sweet tooths(teeth?) at Vive La Crêpe. Naturaly, we ordered banana-nutella. My first bite sent me straight back to the banks of the Seine. My second bite, I was sitting beneath the Eiffel Tower. My third bite, I was personally decapitating Marie Antoinette. I was back in Paris once more… I also must commend Vive La Crêpe for having some of the friendliest, most personable employees I’ve encountered in my 19 months living in the city. A crêpe, a coffee and a friendly smile from the cashier? A winning combination.

When wandering around the city yesterday, we decided to grab a quick snack here for two reasons — 1) It looked amazingly delicious 2) My BF’s sister never had a crêpe before(I know crazy right). We decided to have three different crepes — Butter and sugar, ham and cheese, and banana’s and strawberry’s with white chocolate. They were all delicious, but surprisingly my favorite was the ham and cheese.

Let me start by saying I want to give this place 4 stars. I really do. But I can’t. The crepes are as delicious here as they are at their other stores… but then that raises the question of why I should trek out here to get crepes. Well, the service is certainly friendly… but very slow. Crepes are street food and you can grab your crêpe here to go(facilitated by the flattened cone it is presented to you in) but that vibe is kind of ruined by how slow these guys move. And… they don’t exactly seem like the sharpest tools in the shed. But they do seem very sweet. Anyway, also subtracting from the street food vibe? The price. Yes, OK. It’s standard for US crepes pretty much everywhere and if I were in a restaurant I would think it was a pretty good deal. But their«restaurant» consists of two tables in the corner and I think 3 high tables and chairs jammed up against the other side of the counter where you run the risk of people entering knocking into you should it get busy. Fun? The place is very dimly lit and not exactly inviting you to stay, which I can at least get a Crepeaway. It feels like a Pommes Frites kind of location at a higher price. I find the containers, while cute, sometimes difficult to maneuver the crêpe out of. Especially if you get cheese or something sweet that starts to stick to the cardboard or weigh the crêpe down. Just a personal issue. I’m used to taking them home and dumping the crêpe on a plate. All of this isn’t to explain why I won’t be back, I just won’t be running back soon. On a positive note, they use good, fresh ingredients and the crepes are well made. A bit soft on the inside but crisp where they were pressed against the griddle.

First time I eat a good tasting crêpe around Christopher st! It was so good that my mom came back and ate another one 30 minutes after her first. The staff is VERY friendly and fun! They really know how to make their crepes! I ate a nutella with berries, and nuts. It was amazing! First of all, if you don’t want a lot of nutella just tell them! They’ll make your wishes come true! Too bad they don’t make their crepes with buckwheat, you guys should really consider it! I haven’t had the chance to try their salmon crepes, but as soon as I do i’ll post another comment. Thank you for making good tasting crepes in the city, and specially near Christopher st. GREATLOCATION!

So I guess Vive La Crêpe just opened and they’re working out the kinks. There are certain things not available on the menu, crepes w/ice cream(Van Leeuwen!), specialty coffee, but whatever… Although a little pricey, the sugar/butter crêpe was pretty tasty($ 6). It wasn’t as thick/dough-y as the crepes from Creperie. There are a handful of tables so you can hang out for a while, but then again it was 10ish when I stopped in, so it might be harder to loiter during peak hours. Once everything is ironed out I can give another half of a star, but for right now its getting a 3.5.
