This place is horrible. A dimly lit basement wth cheap couches and REALLYEXPENSIVEDRINKS for no reason. On top of that, the bartender added 20% auto gratuity to my drink order(note — just walked up to the bar to order drinks, not even sitting) which is ridiculous especially given a vodka soda is like $ 20. Multiply that by 5 drinks and you’re spending $ 20 to tip this guy who spent literally 40 seconds making the round. Just please don’t go here. So many better options within a 5 min walk.

Service is slow but the ambience makes up for it! There are TV’s and projectors everywhere! I would return

Not your typical sports bar; the layout is reminiscent of a nightclub. My friend and I came here on a Saturday evening because he wanted to watch a college football game. It’s kind of hard to find as it’s located in the basement. Drinks were okay, but the food definitely left something to be desired. We had the wings and fries. It was practically empty when we were there, but maybe it was because it was still kind of early. The bartender was friendly. Not sure if I’d go out of my way to come back, maybe if I was in the area or something.

Don’t go here expecting a soccer bar. This bar sucks. We called to see if they were going to have commentary for the USA Mexico game, they said yes. We show up they didn’t, instead they blasted crappy music and only showed the game on the smallest of tvs. Food– limited options, not good at all, avoid the wings. Drinks– small selection, bar tender sucked Gratuity was included??? It wasn’t deserved.

Posted on ¼/2014 — Come for the lounge… Not for the service or the food or the hospitality… Good TVs, comfy seats but service is abdominal. Last 2 times they had 1 server for half the room– she could handle all the tables. The food though is beyond tragic: very sporadic, missed items and everything is overcooked. I personally had a lamb burger forgotten and when re-fired it was well, not medium rare as requested, Only redeeming items we’re the potatoes and shaito peppers.

We went after X-mas so the place was empty but it probably be better if there were people there.

Strangest sports bar I have ever been to in NYC. For starters it’s deep in the heart of the meatpacking distict. On top of that, most of the patrons were in business casual attire & not in fan gear. Oh, and they wanted to charge a $ 250 minimum on a 4 top table, because… playoffs. Ha! But despite all that I really didn’t hate this bar. The wings were, «meh,» but the nachos were pretty tasty. They served Shiner in bottles(until they ran out) and the prices for food and drink were not half bad. The bartender was quick and I had a drink in my hand throughout the games, so no complaints there. Just don’t bother attempting a conversation during commercials or half time. Apparently blaring dance music til everyone is deaf is the trendy thing to do. (Whoa. Do I sound like a cranky old lady, or what?)

Being generous giving three stars. The first time I came a promoter practically begged us to come in, giving us tickets to get free drinks. It was a Friday and the place was absolutely DEAD-surprise. Strangely, the bartender served me a mix of tequila and coke because that’s all they had – it was disgusting. The second time I came, on a Saturday, the place was surprisingly poppin’ and had a huge crowd watching football. We got bottle service and played a bit of pool and danced. Overall, the place isn’t too pricey, but it’s more of a warm-up place for going out to a club. It’s not really a place to dance like a club and I wouldn’t really consider it a lounge. It looks like a restaurant, but has a large bar feel to it. The promoter for the place ended up screaming at us, complaining we didn’t leave a tip for the waitress, when in actuality we did. Will not come back.

So this place is not a sports bar. Lets get that out of the way. I came here to watch the UFC and a little of the NFL conference finals a week or so ago and i found this place not so great. Firstly it was super busy, which is all cool and i like a busy bar but they only had two waitresses on. The poor waitresses were trying there little hearts out(and they were good at what they do BUT) there’s only so much they can do. The food here is okay but it’s sufficiently over priced as too the beer. So to sum up this place quickly, if you’re a college FRAT boy this place is probably for you otherwise there’s much better«sports bars» around.

Great place to catch a game, relax and have a beer. Not very easy to find since it’s in the basement. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We just started out with some beers and snacks such as wings and nachos. The wings were quite good. They seemed like they were smoked and then grilled with sauce. The nachos were homemade and a bit different.

Watched the World Cup final here. My mistake. This is not a sports bar. This is a club with TVs. The space is cool, and it would be hard to find a spot in it without at least one TV in plain view. The beer selection, however, was severely limited, and the crowd was undoubtedly more interested in seeing and being seen than in watching the game. Not. A. Sports. Bar.

I went with a date to watch one of the World Cup games on a Sunday. It’s a nice, plush atmosphere, and it was nice and cool inside when it was sweltering outside. It was pretty empty though. The most irritating things about the place were that even though it was pretty empty we had to ask the waitress for everything, including menus, about 3 times before we got it. The bus boy took better care of us by relaying our needs. The other very irritating thing was that the menu was very, very limited, but they still seemed to be out of just about everything we tried to order. I mean how can you be out of hamburgers? Especially since it was early in the day and there weren’t many other customers. Very poor service & planning, but a really nice place if all you want to do is watch sports & hopefully get the waitress to serve you a drink or two while you’re there.

Cool sports bar in the middle of meat packing. I didn’t know about this place, but went to watch some world cup games there last weekend. It got pretty crowded, but was a fun time. The prices were pretty expensive, but I guess that is what you get in Meat Packing — due to this, though, I don’t think I will be a regular at this place. If friends are there, I wont say no.

Watched the Champions League final here. Great atmosphere, with comfortable seating and 360 degree views of TVs. Did not try the food here, but drinks were great and service was friendly. However, they should create more room at the bar so that it’s easier to order. Another bartender wouldn’t hurt. Overall, I’d recommend this place to watch soccer.

More club/lounge than sports bar. FC Gotham is a sports bar seemingly being run by club promoters. They have more Champagne options on the menu than beer options. It’s extremely expensive. The food is pretty good, but it’s also very pricey not what you would expect at a sports bar. We went to watch NCAA Tournament games this weekend, and despite having 20 – 30TV’s, they only had 2 of the 4 games on, and at 9pm turned off the game sound and started BLASTING top 40 music. Sports Bars should have game sound on, at least while people are still watching games. On the plus side, the set up is nice, plenty of TV’s, but again, not the best at knowing what to even show on them. I’d give the service a C+, but maybe it was an off night. All in all, I’d never go back to watch any event I actually cared about, and the good food isn’t enough to justify the prices.

A sports bar where the girls can be just as happy and comfortable as the guys? YES! It is possible! You have found THE best spot for it! Whether you are pre-gaming right before going out, since VIP is pretty much right on top of this joint, or whether you want to watch a sports game by yourself, or simply want to get together in a chill, comfy area that feels like you’re in the basement of your 1% friend from the Hamptons: This place will please all of the above. Another plus? The people that come here to watch the games don’t come all dressed up in their Rangers jerseys or whatever sports attire you often see in other sports bars, but they just dress like any other person that’s possibly going out after having their bite and drink in a relaxing environment in hip & trendy MPD. Food is way better than what you would expect in an average sports bar. Nothing about this place is giving this air that people are ‘too cool for school’, but yet the crowd that goes here is definitely cool. Average age: Twenties. I also love the fact that this place has a pool table, where you can actually play pool, instead of being forced to play beer pong. Worth a try, guys. Something else for a change! * Best day = Sunday around brunch time *

This is exactly what meat packing needed… awesome sports bar, with an upscale feel. The jalapeño tots are amazing, liquor and beer is flowing, and there are literally tv’s everywhere for different sports games. The staff is really enthusiastic, and hot, so that’s always a plus. I love the amount of space in FC, which allows you to be with large groups, but not feel on top of each other either. Plus, the couches are super comfy, and the pool table is a huge bonus. I highly recommend this bar for anyone looking for a hip, new sports bar. It’s great for big groups, or even small get togethers. Our server was Lauren, and she definitely went out of her way to show us a great time. If you haven’t been to FC’s yet, you should try it out soon, you won’t regret it!

Pleasant, upscale place to watch football on a Sunday afternoon. Small but tasty menu. Try the jalepeno corn tots and the chocolate chip pancakes on the brunch menu(served until 4pm). The Mariano Mai tai was pricey but delicious. Service cheerful. They don’t yet have coffee making worked out. On the dinner menu both the steak tartare and the scallops on the halfshell were exceptional. Nice sofas and cozy seating areas and TVs everywhere.
