Flat Price Relocation

My friend recommended Flat price, and they moved me from NY to NJ. They gave me a flat price quote, and the price stayed the same and it didn’t change — I’ve had experience with other companies were they asked for more $ than they quoted you.
We have two kids and own a lot of stuff to pack, so we ended up getting the full service packing, and the movers packed everything nicely and organized. The crew was arrived on time, and they were professional and polite. They padded all of our furniture and everything get safe to the other address. Price was competitor comparing to other prices I received. I highly recommend this company.

In the pass 5 years I moved 3 times. Each time I used a different moving company. This time my building had recommended Flat price relocation as their best experience. I needed help packing and moving on the East side. The crew of 5 arrived on time, packed up everything and moved me seamlessly. They worked as a team, very efficiently and professionally .
They say that moving is the top 10 most stressful things ones can encounter. Using the right moving company makes it easier.

I recently used them for a large move between a short distance of a few crosstown blocks and highly recommend them! Our every point of contact with their people pre and during the actual move was extremely professional, honest, accurate and fine-​tuned. Avi Montia gave us a flat price exactly as their name states so there were no hidden fees or surprises. Transitioning is stressful enough without the added burden of having to watch one’s back every step of the way. The team arrived on time packed up 20 years of memories with great care and honored my request to keep it green and reduce our carbon footprint.-Who does that?! They moved and unpacked for us without a single hitch. Nothing broke or went missing.
Kudos to Avi and Flat Price Movers, –you made a complicated endeavor as stress free and cost efficient as possible.
**Caveat-​Be certain not to confuse them with the other moving company with a very similar name.
I highly recommend them as I have never given any organization 5 stars and they absolutely deserved it.

I actually expected a lot of hassle for my last move.
But I got 3 words for these guys– easy, fast and efficient! I was impressed! The office gave the quote, date and time was set, movers showed up, all was loaded and delivered. Done!
I rarely write reviews these days on Unilocal but I was extremely satisfied with their work. Would use them again for sure.

Moving from L.A. to N.Y. seems a bit daunting to me. I was referred to «Flat Price Movers» by a friend and found their rate to be pretty reasonable. I received a phone call from them within a day, the rep was great and walked me through the whole process… which makes everything so much easier (sigh with relief!)
The day of the moving, the movers came on time, showed up ready to help me with taping all the loose boxes and they wrapped up my mattress with large plastic roll… all nice and neat. They’re a «pro» at wrapping all kinds of stuff to be moved. I didn’t know what to expect but the movers had everything under control (which made me feel so much better) They were very courteous, friendly, fast and I felt confident about how things were going to be handled. And as expected, when I got to N. Y…a different crew delivered everything as packed. Everything was in good condition, the whole process was so easy, I couldn’t believe it :) I will definitely use them again, when I move back to L.A.

We can’t thank these guys enough for making our move smooth and painless. Honestly, we were under pressure to move to our new building in a tight window and they hustled to make it happen for us. They were super fast and efficient, professional to a tee and pleasant to work with. Everything arrived at our new place safe and sound including our beloved artwork. We highly recommend this team!

I was referred to this company by a friend; unfortunately, I can’t recommend them to anyone else based on my experience. Maybe they’re actually good at the moving part. I wouldn’t know because I never made it that far. I called them a few weeks in advance of my move, asking for a quote, and they set up a time with me to come and see my apartment so that they could give an accurate price. Unfortunately, that first appointment was canceled due to the weather, and they set up a time to come and see me on a Friday (exactly one week before my move date). The guy who came was very nice and friendly, but after looking everything over he didn’t give me a quote on the spot but said he’d be in touch. I waited all weekend and didn’t hear from them until Monday, at the beginning of the week we were scheduled to move. In a simple, curt phone call he told me, sorry, actually they were all booked up the day of my move and I should make other plans. No explanation or apology. It was surprisingly unprofessional — I would think that they were well aware of their schedule on the Friday that he’d come out to see me and if not, they’re running a seriously flawed operation over there. They could have just told me they were booked in the first place rather than wasting my time and leaving me to scramble. So, I wouldn’t recommend them.

Moved all of my studio for $ 650. When the company quoted me the price, it didnt include a tip that they expect when you pay at the end of the move. 3 professional guys and a big truck completed the move. They know what they are doing. Good service.

I called Flat Price only 2 days before I made a last minute move and they were so accommodating! Reserving a time to move as well as a price quote was quick and simple. I ended up having several more boxes than expected and the movers were unexpectedly told that they had to carry everything down a long, narrow flight of stairs in order to reach the freight elevator — and they could not have been more easy-​going about it! They were also kind enough not to charge me extra for having a lot more stuff than originally planned. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who plans to move in NYC!

I hired Flat Price for a non-​traditional move out of the 21^st floor of an office building into the event space at The TimesCenter and back again the following night. The guys were a huge help and very VERY accommodating to all of our needs. The business was easy to get a hold of and stay in touch with the prior and during the move and I really felt that they cared about the specific times frames that I needed everything completed in. We are holding the same event in a year and I am confident I already know who I will be putting on the job as our movers.

Used Flat Price on ¹⁰⁄₁ to move from Philly to NYC. I have moved 5 times in the last 8 years and have used Flat price twice. They are without a doubt the best movers out of the many moving companies I have used in this time period… They took amazing care of my stuff (not a single item was broken on the trip — including lots of fragile artwork, pottery, glassware etc). They are very professional and easily accessible via email and phone. They were on-​time (actually, they were early which was SUCH a nice change!), incredibly efficient and very friendly. The option for a fixed price instead of hourly is also really nice because you don’t have to think about it once rate is agreed. I also appreciated the option for a 3% discount by paying in cash. I always fear the dreaded move, whenever it comes to relocating. Last month I was in a very tight pinch, where I had a few days to book a mover within less than a week.
Luckily my Real Estate broker had a suggested company in mind, and here comes Flat Price Movers to my rescue.
Not only were they able to book me on the 1^st of the month, but everything was handled efficiently and over the phone/​email.
When the actual move came along, EVERYTHING went so smoothly. Not one item was broken, and the team did not leave till everything was firmly in place. Words can’t express how happy I was with this move. The team was very nice, hard working, and went the extra mile.

My real estate agent, who has worked in Manhattan for 15+ years, suggested using Flat Price for two reasons:
1) you only paid what you were quoted, no extra fees.
2) they were considerate professionals who moved your possessions in a timely manner.
So strange, don’t understand why one person posted such a horrible review. I have nothing but great things to say about Flat Price and recommend them to anyone looking for a dependable mover.

I had the WORST experience with this company. DO NOT USE THEM! Everything started out fine, until one of the movers told me to tip (I was planning to anyway but thought it was strange that he was bringing this up before they had even loaded up my furniture). Then, after I stated that I might use my credit card, I was told that I should tip with cash… um WHY am I being told how to tip?!
Although this should have been the first red flag, I tried to forget about it. They then told me that they had no idea how to get to my apartment and that I should drive with them in the truck. He even offered to stop by the bank so I could withdraw cash. How caring! I made this reservation a month ago so there was certainly enough time to glance at a map. The HOUR long ride from east village to soho was uncomfortable to say the least. One of the movers was snoring in the back and I was being blamed for soho traffic… last time I checked it is ALWAYS crowded on Broadway on a Saturday. I even let them use my blackberry to find directions and every time it rang he acted all annoyed even though it is MY phone.
Instead of watching my things be taken to my new apartment, a friend and I walked to the ATM because I felt so pressured by the movers to tip in cash. It was then that I realized I did not have my wallet. By the time I came back to the apartment, I explained to the movers the situation and also that I think they are missing a box. Later that night I realize that the box they «forgot to deliver?» was the largest one I had. Inside the box were all my shoes, bags, and most important of all my passport. I had no money and no identification.
I decided to call the mover’s cell phone number, which is the only contact I had. He was completely unprofessional and rude to me on the phone. He yelled at me and called me names like I was back in the third grade.
That Monday I spoke with several people from the company and demanded a manager call me. This man was very professional and sympathetic but he refused to even give me a discount for the horrible experience I had. I basically paid to be insulted, feel uncomfortable, blamed for traffic, AND have the only possessions I need to exist in the world misplaced.
I will never use this company and hope others do not have to go through what I went through.
