Marginal Italian food with crazy prices as if the food was something special.

If any italian place — nukes your eggplant sub in front of you in a microwave then you should as fast as you can from them. This happened to my collegues eggplant sub, seeing this i quickly slipped out of the sandwich line and joined the pasta line. This was painfully slow and the guy making the pasta seemed to be so stingy with the marinara that most of the pasta he was dishing out looked naked and white. I told the dude I need 2 more spoons of marinara sauce and he looked a little annoyed with me. Finally my office collegue and me sat down to eat. Her sub was so bad that she dug thru the entire sandwich and found only cheese and zucchini and no eggplant at all, it was real bad and she cound not eat it as it was simply soggy with the nuking. She just dumped 90% of it. My pasta was bland too, but marginally better than the sub so I shared it with her. We got thru half of it combined and it was too terrible to go any further so we dumped the food & decided to leave. Maybe the main restaurant is good but their place to go here is Midrow is a DUMP! Its also an expensive dump so STAYAWAY!

I tried to order lunch from here but was thwarted by incompetence. I placed my order at 11:30AM, long before any lunch rush should have been a problem. An hour later at 12:30 I get a call from the manager who is explaining to me why they’re not going to be able to deliver to me. It’s «too busy» and they«didn’t see my order until just now», which is apparently why they couldn’t tell me sooner. As he said he was the manager and was«trying to make it right» I said that’d be fine so long as he could just prioritize it and get it out right away. Apparently this isn’t an option because«we have lots of other orders». I asked if those orders came in before or after my order. He said that it was after. I asked him why he couldn’t do my order first then. He said it was because it was really busy, but that I could have it in about 2 hours if I wanted to wait. No thanks bud. And I won’t be trying it again. Moral of the story — if you are thinking of ordering from here, STAYAWAY because there’s no guarantee that you’ll actually get it.

The food and service were good, but I’m not feeling the prices for what I order.

First time at Fresco on the Go so it MIGHT be premature to give it 4 stars which is why i’ll be conservative and leave it at 3. But rest assured, I really loved my lunch today so I will return and if other things i order are equally as good then my rating will change. Ordered the chicken and veggie roll up. It’s basically a wrap but instead of on thin tortilla it’s on this naan-like thicker oven baked flat bread. The veggies are grilled huge pieces of fresh veggies like broccoli and carrots, zucchini and cauliflower. Yes it is $ 10 but it was huge. the veggies are marinated in balsamic and grill to a perfect crunch and they put an herb aioli sauce that pairs perfectly with the hint of balsamic. Really hit the spot at lunch time. So yummy and fresh tasting. Everything else looked good. If everything is this good i’ll return OFTEN.

Maybe the owners of this establishment need to be educated on the implications of «Fresco.» My lunch today — a meatball lasagna — was anything but fresh. The«meat» included in the dish had those standard perforation marks that super-processed meat tends to have. The salt was overbearing. It was such a disappointment, because the atmosphere of the restaurant is really lovely. What really grinded my gears was the fact that Vitamin Water was $ 2.50! bringing my overprocessed, overpriced lunch to $ 12.52.

oy… whats with all the bad reviews?! I actually really like this place! My friend who works in the same building as me took me here for lunch, and i love it! There are so many options for you to choose from. You got the pasta, salad bar, the pizza, stir fry and sandwich sections… whats not to love? There are a tons of seats here and the food is made fresh and yummy… and the pice of the food is pretty good! I’m so hooked on their pasta. Its pick one type of meat and you can add anything you want to your pasta for $ 8.95, if you dont want meat, then its $ 7.95…you cant go wrong!

Fresco did not live up to its name. Something I ate was not fresh this afternoon. I have had a bellyache every since. *mercilessly striking Fresco on the Go from my approved lunch place list*

Great sandwiches however quite the wait during lunch time rush. And for what it is, it’s pricey. However, it’s always packed during lunchtime.

I’ve found the is best place to get freshly prepared pasta in the Financial District during lunch. You can load it up with veggies and then pick your meat, sauce, and pasta. All told it’s about $ 10. They also have one of the best seating areas of all the delis. Lots of space, bright, and clean.

Expensive but it’s good to have around. I’ve only had a limited number of dishes from here so take this with a grain of salt. It’s tough to pay double digits for lunch when its to go, and Fresco is no exception. The flavors in their Lasagna and Personal flat bread pizzas are better than average but my favorite thing to order is their cheesy fried zucchini chips covered in gorgonzola. The service seemed a bit disjointed and it was kind of rude that most of their Cashiers were on the phone while we were checking out but all in all, I’ll go back, so for that 3 stars.

I had a horrible experience here. I ordered lunch from my entire office and placed the order at 9am for a 12pm delivery. I can understand if the order was late if i placed it at 10:30am or 11:00am but a 3 hour window should not be delayed. We called at 12:30 and they mentioned that it was on its way but didnt see it for another 30 minutes When we got the food EVERYTHING was COLD. all the sides were soggy and cold. I called and initially they wouldnt do anything but then apologized and rationalized it by being short handed. Then they offered to only replace the fries and chips… but we had 9 other lunch orders. Very dissatisfied with Fresco

When Fresco first opened, I was sold. It had the décor of a classy and modern establishment, an extensive menu and very pretty customers. If lunch spots were judged by the above, this place would easily be at 5 stars. Unfortunately, it is not. The quality of food is lacking. I can no longer find a sandwich that isn’t saturated with olive oil and missing some very important components. Order an Italian and you’ll see what I mean. You’re lucky if you get 2 slices of meat. The cost is slightly above the average down here but I won’t complain too much about that. It’s sort of expected for a trendy ‘looking’ spot. Management — Fix the above and you’ll be back on the map in no time.

This place is above my pay grade. $ 10 for a panini and a drink is a bit rich for my blood. Note: When they say avocado — they mean green semi guac paste not freshly cut pieces of avocado. Place is bright, plenty of seating(probably because the prices chased away the patrons) and the people were friendly and efficient.

I stopped in once for breakfast. Very nice seating area, much better than the typical deli or fast food joint. Prices at breakfast were no worse than McDonalds. $ 4.00 for a sandwich, $ 2.00 for a large coffee. Coffee was better than most. Looking at the menu, only one item was more than $ 10.00 — that was $ 11.95 for a caesar steak rollup.

First off, this place is gorgeous! I would easily turn this place into my next birthday venue. It has the look and feel of a club/lounge complete with candlelight. I happened to stumble into this place at the end of the day just before they were closing up. For a clean freak like myself, I was extremely surprised at the way they tidy up the place! Not one spot was left untouched and they SCRUB everything from the floors to the walls! My friend and I were in the mood for bagels and thankfully Fresco on the Go was the only place open after a long day at work. I think I paid $ 1.08 for a toasted bagel with cream cheese. Does it get any better than that? Me thinks not.

It’s been about 20 minutes since I got back from Fresco on the Go to grab lunch… all I have to say, is that the place is really very nice but could possibly be better! Pros: – The open and airy layout is much welcomed in the drab and bleek surrounding area. It just brightens your mood the second you walk in. There’s a sunflower-theme to this joint, with yellow-painted walls and ceiling art of sunflowers and even sunflower images within the light fixtures(very pretty). I also love the cafeteria-style seating area that sits slightly above the rest of the place on the elevated level. There’s a huge flat-screen tuned into msnbc for those who may have ADD and find it difficult to sit at a table and concentrate solely on just the meal. – There are a number of options for food. you can do breakfast, lunch or dinner. there’s a pasta station, hot foods section, wraps/sammies/rolls, and a coffee bar. OMG, I saw a huge slice of carrot cake and a jumbo-sized chocolate-oatmeal cookie that I really wanted to snatch up while I was waiting on line to pay for my lunch, but I digress… – Lastly, the portions are enormous and the ingredients seem clean and fresh, undefiled. Cons: – It’s pricey! My pasta dish set me back about $ 9.00. and this is just lunch we’re talking about. – The food is a touch bland and quite oily(this is based off of my whole wheat penne, with pesto, escarole, chicken, and sausage meal). What could have been great, turned out to be just alright. But I’d definitely be back again to try other things like their rolls which are gigantic-looking and very appetizing! I’m already thinking about my next trip back… it’s definitely much nicer than a Europa Café!

My small steel-cut oatmeal with granola, cinnamon, and brown sugar only ran me $ 2.50 and was perfectly serviceable. That even made up for Fresco on the Go not serving chai. The physical space is odd – I felt as though they were trying to recreate a clean and crisp quick-dining warehouse. I have no enthusiastic desire to check out their lunch options after reading the other Unilocal reviews, but I could see myself swinging by for breakfast again sometime on my way to work.

$ 9.95 is by no means cheap for a panini sandwich. I don’t care if it’s near Wall St. Grant it, the ciabatta was freshly grill pressed and the savory ingredients(chicken cutlet, prosciutto, moz) were on point but this chain is clearly overpriced. Heck, at least slap some pesto on the underside of my ciabatta or something. It’s like an assembly line where you can grab soup, wraps, sammiches, even wine. When I went to pay as I waited for my panini to grill, the cashier handed me a bag hinting to bag it myself after it was grilled. She said… Move bitch, get out the way Get out the way bitch, get out the way Move bitch, get out the way Get out the way bitch, get out the way Total came out to $ 10.87 after everything Pics:

I came here for soup(and the bright atmosphere) and I got some pretty good Tuscan White Bean soup with Escarole for only about $ 4.00. That was a large and with two pieces of «home-made» rosemary foccacia bread, I think I did pretty good here! Not only was I happy with the food, but the staff were incredibly nice and helpful — a smile here, a wink there and already my over-worked spirits were lifted. Come to think of it, I must have really looked pathetic the other day for the counter girl to keep urging me to take another piece of bread. Next time I’ll have to remember to make a bathroom stop before leaving the dungeon.
