I go here for my color and love it. They have great products (Goldwell) and I am constantly getting compliments on my color. I’ll be due in a few days for a coloring and people will assume I just got it done. Michael is awesome and I trust him wholeheartedly. This salon is definitely worth checking out, especially since it’s convenient to the subway and Union Square.

The staff here is very friendly and I really loved the blow-​out I received. It was affordable but not rushed. I was not as happy with the waxing. It felt as though I was in a sweat lodge and the wax caused me to break out, which never happen. I would return, but only for hair styling.

For the best manicure, pedicure and waxing — it’s Mary on Sundays. I’ll follow her anywhere!

I got a haircut with from Christian and now I’m here to give him and this salon a Rave review. Christian — He is fabulous — I came in with a bunch of pictures, and long, thick hair I didn’t want to sacrifice to just anyone, so I was hesitant. We talked about what it was I wanted to do, he walked me through the step by step process he was going to take, and also made some awesome suggestions. From what he said, I decided to give it a go. And let me tell you, I don’t regret it — he worked some serious magic because my hair has never looked better. I loved his technique. He was so patient with me, answered all my questions, let me know what was doable, what would look good and gave me the exact cut I wanted. I have already gotten 5 different compliments — one from a complete stranger and its only 10am! I have officially found my new hairdresser.
The Salon — super cute inside — a little Chelsea oasis — love the mirrors they work on you in front of, open late — so very convenient.

Good haircut without the pretentious hair salon hubris. I will come back again. Ask for Michael. He was thorough, detailed and he knows how to sea with Asian hair.

The BEST Brazilian waxer (no pain!) is TAMARA

I love this place. I’ve been going for ~4 months for both blowouts and highlights. Michael is my hairdresser and he’s fantastic! My hair is long and frizzy and he always do a great job. My highlights look great and I’ve already sent two of my friends to see him. Prices are also very reasonable and the entire staff is very attentive. It’s a great neighborhood salon.

I saw Michael yesterday for some highlights. I havent colored my hair in a few years so I wanted some natural streaks. He did a great job and was so much fun to chat with. This salon is great and offers cappuccinos and even wine while you are there. I will definitely go back to see him and highly recommend going to him!

BEST WAX LADY IN THE WORLD: LANA. Not only she will leave you looking like a princess, she’d make you laugh so hard you will forget you are actually going through painful waxing procedures. Best blow outs: LOLA and JOHANNA by far!!! I love these ladies. Sweet, friendly and super talented. I highly recommend it. Carl at the front desk is a sweetheart and will remember your name from day 1.

Gemini Salon was EVERYTHING i had prayed for! The salon is gorgeous and because I went on a Sunday it was laid back and relaxing, just perfect! The staff was helpful and attentive.
Felix did my Highlights and Haircut and he is amazing! He gave me the best cut and highlights I have had in years! Moving from Cali i had been searching for two years in New York to find a place and i am so happy to FINALLY found a stylist and salon!

I’ve been following Delores for ten years now ~ through three salons, a baby (mine, haha!) and Gemini 14 is by far the best salon she’s landed at yet. It’s stylish, the staff is friendly and the mani, pedi, hair removal services are all very professional.
But back to Deloris. We started with grey coverage, then moved to highlights. It took a lot of handholding to get me to highlight my hair ~ I didn’t want it to look very brassy and also didn’t want to further commit to increased maintenance expenses.
She was born int o a hair dressing family and has been professionally performing blow outs at her parent’s shop since she was a pre teen. My hair is long and coats. And Deloris is the only one who can tame it straight, with a curl on the bottom, no flat iron.
I’ve had blow outs on vacation, while traveling for business, etc. and I have never had more beautiful hair t Han she. I get up from Deloris’ hair. She is simply gifted and I just love being in her chair.
The salon also has a rewards program and I receive a free service (cut, color, blow dry, etc.) very fifth visit or so. Awesome, right?

I came here a couple of months ago for a haircut with Dolores, who was super sweet, listened to all my issues with my hair and even gave me a free deep conditioning treatment. The salon is very modern and they use high end products (Kerastase, Oribe) which is nice considering the cost of a haircut here is about $ 100 not including tip. The haircut I asked for was a very simple one and though she didn’t give me exactly what I was looking for, I walked away feeling great about my hair nonetheless. I feel that the style of the stylist really influences what you will end up with. I asked for soft, rounded layers and Dolores gave me layers that were a bit more edgy and choppy. Overall, she was very professional and didn’t mind going back to make corrections to satisfy me. I would definitely come back and see her again.

Manhattan sometimes might be hard for guys that want an hairstylist (not a barber) that accepts appointments and is professional. After spending one year between hairstylists and barbers around the city (many of them are so much expensive) I finally found my hairstylist: Bastiano. He listened, suggested and worked. What make him great it’s his ability to cut the hair only with scissors and without electric devices and make me look like a marine!

I’ve always been a stylist hopper. Never really satisfied enough with one person to go back. Hey, I’m a tough critic. However, I have been going to Dolores for 2 years now. She does exactly what I ask her to do, no surprises. It always looks phenomenal and I get nonstop compliments on the color. She took my hair from ashy brown to a natural looking blonde — no skunk chunks, no orange. Best of all, I have no idea what she does but I don’t have to back as often to get my roots colored.

It’s so hard to find a great stylist, so I feel very fortunate to have found Delores. She listened and ensured she understood how I wanted my hair. She did an amazing job cutting and styling my hair.

Came here the other day for a trim–
Friendly front desk staff and nice ambiance make this a nice welcoming salon. I had Dolores, who is excellent and gave me the cut I wanted and styled my hair the way I liked. It looked great and had so much volume for 2 days! I have the thinnest, limpest hair that normally can’t hold a curl if I tried. She really did an amazing job. too bad I can’t ever recreate that at home :(
I’ll definitely be back again. and maybe get some extensions here, they come highly recommended!

Everyone at Gemini 14 seems very friendly, but the real reason I go there is for Dolores! She is an amazing stylist and colorist. I’ve been going to her for 6 years and I won’t let anyone else touch my hair!
I usually get some variation on the graduated bob. Dolores is magical! I constantly get compliments on my hair. I do sometimes let it grow out a little in between cuts and she cuts the layers in my bob so well that you can’t even really tell I need a haircut. I prefer my hair shorter though, so Dolores helps me maintain my look.
I’m a brunette and usually stick to brown, black or dark red. Last fall, she did these amazing autumn highlights that I liked to call Autumn Pumpkin Spice Sunrise: D
it was a combo of brown, deep burgundy, burnt orange, and a golden color. So pretty and perfect for fall. I showed her a picture and then described the spin I wanted on it, and she brought it to life!
When people complimented my highlights, I would say «You like it? It’s Autumn Sunrise.» (like in Ghost haha)
On top of being brilliant, Dolores is a sweetheart!
