I have been a glossybox subscriber for over a year. Recently cancelled as the boxes are getting a bit repetitive. I mean, how many mascara samples do I need? Another concern is that the boxes are supposed to be individualized. I get the exact same boxes as my very fair skinned Caucasian friend and I’m black. Mind you my friend and I signed up and the same time and we had different preferences so where is the differentiation? Also, the blushes, lipsticks and eyebrow pencil samples would NEVER be something you’d imagine for a dark skinned black girl. I was expecting more for $ 21 a month. I’d recommend ipsy as their subscription is cheaper and their samples seem more appropriate for women of color. Also, more concerning, I supposedly cancelled my subscription via email in October 2015. I received a cancellation email and everything. So when I’m billed and receive a box in November, I figure it’s the last one. When I’m billed and receive a box in December, I perplexed and think, this should be it. But when I get billed and a box in January? Come on now! I called glossybox and was told my cancellation didn’t go through although I have an email from them regarding my cancellation.. SCAM or nah? I’d say scam. Subscribe at your own risk!

If you are considering getting a Glossybox– just don’t. I wanted to try it and was excited to see rue la la was selling subscriptions– so I bought one. I found the service incredibly mediocre at best but the same deal popped up so I decided meh I’ll give it another go. When I redeemed it rather than adding to my existing subscription it started a new subscription and I got billed for a full 6 months on top of it. I emailed back and forth with their customer service which took forever since it takes them days to reply. Finally I was told the remaining boxes on my first account would be applied to the new one and when I asked if I needed to do anything else to prevent it I received an email saying and this is a direct quote, «We sincerely apologize for the system glitch and assure you that you will not receive any further charges or boxes moving forward. «so when I got an invoice for a charge on the first for $ 126 I emailed right Away to be like«hold the phone this isn’t right» well it took 4 days to get a response and now I’m being told I’m only getting a partial refund since October already got processed but if they stayed on top of their customer service emails it could have been resolved that freaking day. And on top of it the responses I’m getting are condescending and blaming me but again I was told«We sincerely apologize for the system glitch and assure you that you will not receive any further charges or boxes moving forward. «umm I wouldn’t even mind if the service was awesome– I would have kept my subscription but I get loads of repeats and I’ve only had the service a year. Not ok Glossybox.

I ordered my first box in may 2015 then came June and still no box so I canceled my subscription but they had charged me the June box already I emailed them and they said they had warehouse problems blah blah… And they reassured me I would get them both soon but its July now and still no boxes! I emailed so many times and still no answer they have the worst customer service… this might not happen. To everyone but why risk it? They just take people’s money and I will never again order anything from glossybox I am just warning you guys don’t get glossybox $ 42 worst spent ever!

I purchased«glossybox» in the beginning of May 2015. It is now June 16th2015, I have been charged for May, and June. I STILL have not received one box. I have sent countless emails to customer service about this and each time get a bogus tracking number that says the shipment is in preshipment. When I contacted USPS about the tracking they said the tracking number was issued weeks ago and directed to an address in sacramento, Ca. however, funny thing. I am in Kirkland, WA. Seems scammy to me. I subscribe to birchbox monthly, which I love, and even ipsy glam bag. Both are fantastic. I definitely am cancelling this appalling company. what a JOKE! worst 42 $ I have ever spent. Lesson learned.

I was so excited to try Glossybox. I subscribed in April and it’s now May 18th and I have yet to get my April box. When I contacted the customer service number I just told to leave a massege and then got hung up on. This company is a total waste of money. I haven’t received any emails or phone calls from the multiple times that I have contacted Glossybox. I am overall disappointed with Glossybox and would not recommend it to anybody at all.

I really loved getting my Glossybox in the mail. The packaging is fun, and it’s exciting to open and check out the new products. Everything in the box is of good quality and the sizes of the products are decent. I would’ve liked to give them 5 stars, but they need to work on their business etiquette. After receiving December’s box, I noticed that the contents did not match the contents advertised as being included in the box on the website. The website depicts 3 nail polish bottles, but the box contains only one. When I called the company, the representative informed me that Glossybox had received several complaints about this issue. She explained that the marketing company in charge of the website was not communicating efficiently with production, and even though the website advertises three polishes, there is only supposed to be one in the box. The appropriate response of a good business would be to honor the product that was pictured. Unfortunately, I all received was an apology. Because of this, I will not renew my subscription when it expires.
