Hampton Inn Manhattan/Times Square Central

We arrived the the hotel at 7:30 AM and our check in wasn’t until 3:00. The staff let us check into a different room that early for free! There is free wifi, free breakfast, free coffee, hot chocolate, tea, and water. You can go up to the roof to check out the view. The bed were very comfortable and had 4 soft pillows. The room was incredibly clean. On the day we left check out was at 12:00 PM and our flight was at 7:30 PM. They held our luggage for us so we could go and explore more instead of having to carry it all with us! The staff was always so friendly. The location was great, right in Times Square on 41^st between 7^th and 8^th. It was a tiny bit noisy at night. We didn’t mind because it is NY so it was expected. We just played some music on pandora and fell right asleep. The rooms are small but that’s to be expected and I don’t know what more you would need than a bed and a bathroom! This stay was perfect and I would definitely return.

The room was clean, just the right size and very nice. The staff was excellent and very helpful. I would stay here again.

This hotel is well decorated and appears nice upon entering. However, this is my fourth stay here in four weeks. The service here is awful! The front desk staff is rude and they outright lie to the guests and then to their management. After 3 stays, I contacted HHonors who connected me with the front desk manager. She asked me to try their property once more and give them another shot. She said she placed a note in the reservation. Imagine my surprise to return to even worse rudeness and more lies from this very rude staff. I will not be frequenting this hotel again. They act as if they are doing you a favor to have you be their guest.

No place to eat at breakfast. Need to take food to the room and eat on the bed. No one cares about it. Food quality is below average. Cheap paper plates, plastic knives and forks.

This hotel exceeded my expectations.
The staff was really friendly, they help you out in any way they can. The lobby is so nice & very convenient set up with tv, computers, business meeting tables.

–Bathroom doors are see through (not really a con, but just very annoying)
–The breakfast buffet can taste better;the food had no taste
–The breakfast area can be made bigger;around 9−10am there was barely any room to sit

Very disappointed with the staff at this location. We stay at Hampton Inns quite frequently and they have all been a pleasure to stay at. Not so much at this location. We arrived to NYC early in the morning we went to the hotel in hopes to drop off or luggage and explore as we waited for the 3 pm checkin. They let us drop off our luggage Maria the receptionist gave us her card to told us to call to check if our room which we requested on the 22^nd floor was ready. We went to lunch, called and asked about our room no one answered so we caught a Broadway show arrived back to the hotel after 4 pm. Our room had still not been cleaned. The new receptionist for the evening shift said we would have to wait another hour! We had to get ready to go to a concert and didn’t have time to wait any longer so we were given a room on the 9^th floor to stay in for the night. When we arrived back around 12 am we asked the late night staff if our room on the 22^nd floor had been cleaned we could just move to that room now since we hadn’t done anything in the room but change. The staff had no idea what we were taking about it hadn’t be noted on our account, the girl had an attitude saying it’s not their fault rooms are given on a first come bases. I told her we checked in at 11am and at 4pm our room was still not ready, and now at 12am it’s our problem? Our room he been given to someone else. I will stay else where next time.

Stayed here for my birthday trip. great from beginning to end. I was able to check in early with no hassle. Great location and great prices. Located in Times Square off 7^th (on 41^st). You get the luxury of staying in TS, without the price. Everyone I spoke to said I got a great deal for the area. We went to see Aladdin and were literally across the street from the back of the New Amsterdam Theatre. It’s literally close to it all, but tucked away. Room was nice. Smaller than I expected but very nice and clean and up to date. I liked the setup. Bathroom was at back of the room.
Customer service was great. I was always met with a smile.
Least fave thing was breakfast. There are so many people but the breakfast line sucks. I was stuck up there for about 15 minutes trying to get a waffle. People reaching over each other… a cluster. Logistics need a once over.
But otherwise a great hotel with great views and access to the city!

I was really surprised with this hotel. They let us check in half an hour early which was nice! The room was kinda small– only because we got a king size bed. It was comfortable and no signs of stains on bed or pillow sheets at all. The bathroom is really spacious! Very clean and roomy. They gave us tons of soap, towels, and lotions as well. The lobby is very modern and cute. Lots of sofa seats everywhere. There’s also breakfast buffet which was pretty cool– lots of fruits, eggs, bagels, waffles, tea, coffee etc. We stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed our stay. It was pleasant.
I would come back and stay here again because it’s so close to everything! The only thing I would change is by asking to book a room up top! We were on the second level so we didn’t get much of a view. oh by the way, don’t bother buying water at this hotel! Large bottle of water cost me $ 8 which was insane. Overall, friendly staffs and people!

REALLY impressed with this hotel. The lobby is so cute– and they let me into my room more than three hours early. I struggled with the check in process as the girls kept answering the phone as they were checking me in. Is in person customer service really dead?
The room was very spacious– and I loved the bathroom. TONS of room (even more because it’s NYC).
Breakfast in the morning was a lot more expansive than I expected… think waffles, eggs, homefries, bagels, sausage etc.
Next time, I’m definitely staying here again.

The staff are all very nice but I just wish there were more of them!!! There was only one person at the desk and we waited 20 – 30 minutes to check in! Our room wasn’t ready but to be fair we were early. Unfortunately we then had to wait another 20 minutes for someone to take our bags to store them! You guessed it, when we came back later there was another 20 minute wait for someone to come get our bags out of storage! Room is tiny but clean. Recommend going to a Hilton next time. Skip the Hampton Inn.

Upon checking in, I really thought this would be a 4 star review. The front desk was very nice and we even got a king size bed. The rooms themselves are small, but it’s NYC, let’s be realistic. They were modern, new, and comfortable. We stay in the city often and by the looks this could be our new place.
Now let’s fast forward to 3am, when there is apparently either a club a over us (20^th floor) or right next to the hotel. Our entire room was thumping. I was about to call the front desk but to be honest we were so exhausted from walking the city that I knew they couldn’t do much but move us and I wasn’t going to move.
They really should have invested in better sound proofing. I think this will keep us from coming back.

Awesome hotel, we stayed here during our first trip to NYC. Will definitely stay here again when we come back next year. The concierge arranged for a high end vehicle to pick us up for a night out in the town and also he explained the subway service to us since we didnt understand. All in all a great hotel. Breakfast needs a little help but who cares. Im not like most people who stay at hotels that expect a 5 star complimentary breakfast when staying at a hotel. I ate some fruit loops and went about my day. Yes the rooms were small but i was only in the room from about midnight til 6 am just to sleep. I wanted a hotel ROOM not a 2 bedroom apartment, cmon people, stop being so picky. A hotel is supposed to be a place for you to SLEEP. Its not a resort. If you wanted a resort type deal then you shouldve booked a resort. HAVE A NICE DAY !!!

The location and rates are unbeatable. Literally steps from Times Square. The rooms are modern, well furnished, and clean. The lobby is on the small side (especially the breakfast area so plan for a crowd in the morning), but it didn’t take away from the experience.
Unlike other reviews we had no problems with the front desk. I actually found them to be very helpful with all of our questions, same goes for the bell hops and our bags.
The only complaint I had was the elevators. We waited almost 15 minutes at one point, and walking down 27 flights wasn’t an option. They need to look into configuring them better during peak times. If it wasn’t for the elevators this would be a 5 star review.

Worst service ever. Avoid this place. Dirty and stained pillows was what I first noticed in my room and when I politely asked for fresh pillows, not only did the front desk act like I was stressing them out but housekeeping had the audacity to say that we didn’t want the pillows too badly because we accidentally left the ‘do not disturb’ sign on the door, we apologized for our error but not once did anyone in this disgruntled factory of annoyed workers apologize for their inexcusable behavior. This is literally the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. While the location was convenient for our vacations plans, the rude behavior did often dampen our mood on our vacation. Not worth it. Note: if you see Allan working the front desk, avoid and just wait for the next shift. He is just the coldest and rudest person I have ever encountered in customer service. Terrible.

If I could give zero I would. worst customer service and unfriendly staff in the morning shift. Manager is never a help in the morning shift. Because they refused a package I was expecting it ended up costing me $ 150 on top to have it reshipped.
Upon check in I was given attitude when I told them that their front desk member was the one who refused the package from fedex. FedEx is a huge company that delivers many parcels and if they didn’t do there job well, than I am sure they will be in trouble. So don’t blame them when fedex has note that the Hampton refused a package and said that no one was booked at the hotel under that name.
No curtesy. They have a sign displayed that says clearly if you have not satisfied we don’t expect you to pay. However the rude receptionist told me if I cancel my booking with the hotel I have to pay.
So first you reck my trip and cost me more money and a lot of stress and expect me to stay and suffer.
Manager last night said she was going to let all her staff know to look out for this package however when we followed up no one was aware at front desk on such thing.
We had to be downstairs from 7am to look out for this package ourself so that it doesn’t cost me more money and stress since Hampton could care less. Also I really observed the rude staff that takes there time to ease drop on the conversations of other people checking in rather than attend people in front of them. As in the new guest of delivery men.
I have stayed at many high end hotels in the world and let me tell you. I am totally disgusted. Also valet is $ 55 what a bonus

One of the best hotel experiences I’ve had in NYC! First of all, one of the cheapest prices. I was able to choose to stay on a higher floor for no extra cost, I paid $ 10 more for a view but it was SO worth it.
Unlike most nyc hotel rooms, this one was a normal size and not a closet. It was spacious and luxurious. Breakfast was pretty good with several staff members there to help if you need anything.
Less than a minute walk to Times Square, great area if you want to experience some of the busier parts of Manhattan. Only downfall: long elevator wait time for in the mornings. Totally worth it!

This is the second time I have stayed here. I am a diamond member staying at hilton brands 50+ times a year. Rooms are clean but small. Modern but again small. Breakfast is horrible. Crowded and cheap. For 200 a night I expect a little more.

Brand new hotel in a good location. Bell service and valet are good and rooms are clean and adequately sized for NYC standards. However not accommodating at front desk. I asked for a late check our and they offered only an additional 30 min also I requested a high floor and was put on the 4^th floor. I’m a honors member and I thought that maybe they would at least put me above the 10^th floor but that didn’t happen. Very long wait to pay for things out of the snack shop. All in all there are better hotels for less money in the area with better service
