Ordered delivery from here on Seamless. The food is good but it took an hour more than expected and they forgot the egg roll and pork fried rice.

Tip for credit card users their minimum card limit is $ 8 4 stars for what it is cheap, fast, tasty. This isn’t a michelin star restaurant so I’m not going to rate it like one. So it was one of those days where time flys by and I don’t want to leave my computer and my stomach does say anything to me like BITCHPLZ I’m fine who needs to eat! But my logical brain tells me girl you better eat something so you don’t die or be like one of those skinny bitches with an eating problem. Clearly my logical brain won that battle and off to find cheap food I went. This happened to be around the corner from where I was and instead of getting delivery I decided I needed some fresh air. I Ordered the jumbo shrimp in lobster sauce with pork fried rice and wonton soup as well as the peppered steak with fried rice and egg roll, because well min order was 8 dollars and the lunch special ended up being only $ 7.50 so instead of getting myself a drink like a normal person I got another lunch special like a little fatty. But hey now I don’t have to leave my apartment for a while right… The wonton soup thick skinned wontons satisfying enough and felt pretty filling because of the thick skin. Egg roll — you should just skip on the egg roll it was also pretty thick skinned but hey if you are in the mood for fried food it was pretty crunch so even though it had a thick skin it still tasted pretty good. Shrimp in lobster sauce — came with 5 jumbo shrimp and some imitation crab again like I said tasty no complaints here. Peppered steak Noms — This I would get again it was tasty and the beef was tender. Like I said earlier I rated this a 4 out of 5 because it was cheap, they gave me a lot of food, it was near by, there are a lot of options on the menu and now I have left overs for days! Would I come back here if I had to walk more than 2 blocks to get it no. But would I have it delivered again yes, and if I happened to be walking by and was hungry from chinese food then yes I’d do it again ^__^. So for what it is its not bad. On par with panda express but with wayyy more options.

The food here is absolutely terrible. Spend the extra $ 1 and get it from somewhere else. I got the double sauteed pork which was just roast pork tossed in a ton of some slightly sweet salty sauce. Nothing like the dish should be. I also got the cashew chicken which I threw out after having the pork. I did take a bite first to see how it was and got a nice huge chuck of gristle. Pork fried rice was salty and peppery and not good. Egg drop soup was decent but that’s not saying much. I would stay far far away from this place. This place goes by Asia Express on seamless.

Best Chinese Take-Out in Murray Hill area. I’ve lived in the area for over 5 years and have tried every chinese restaurant at least once. Hao Wei has by far the best steamed dumplings and white meat sesame chicken. The fried rice is average. The boneless spare ribs are terrible. The beef with broccoli is very good and the chicken with broccoli is above average. The lo mein and other noodles are average. The wonton soup is pretty good and is usually loaded with wontons. Order comes with a free can of soda. Delivery is always fast, and most items are slightly cheaper than at other places.

Hao Wei has always been my go to spot for quick, cheap and tasty food in the neighborhood. It’s pretty easy to please everyone in my home with Chinese take out or at least it was. I think they must have changed management or chef because the quality of food(which wasn’t exceptional to begin with) has declined with each delivery. I first noticed in the simple details like not adding scallions to my egg drop soup but with my last order, the food was completely different. My kids really like sesame chicken, which is what I usually get for them. Unfortunately, every piece of chicken was covered with red pepper flakes. Kids don’t like spicy food. The sweet and sour sauce that comes with the cheese wontons was seriously watered down and worst of all, no free sodas were sent with my order! *sigh* I need to look for a new go to spot. In the mean time, I’ve given Hao Wei 2 stars because the Hot and Sour soup, along with the Singapore style mei fun was still pretty tasty.

Hao Wei isn’t amazing, but delivery is lightening fast and the food is usually consistent. They give you six shrimp, as opposed to five, in a small shrimp with broccoli. This matters to me because I often make two meals out of one. Other standard cheap Chinese takeout that is also consistently good: Egg drop wonton soup, sweet and sour chicken, pork fried rice, et al.

We loved this place. It’s a little hole in the wall place Fast, inexpensive and reliable. Ribs are just right. Looking for a high end place, this is not it. Looking for greasy, old school, Chinese food place, then place your order this is the place.

The food is absolutely disgusting and the woman(young one with pink hat usually) has bad manners with an awful customer service.

Sometimes amazing delights can be found in unassuming places, but not this time. I recently placed a lunch order for myself and two friends. We ordered rice noodles with chicken, chicken with cashew nuts, and shrimp with vegetables from the lunch menu. The rice noodles with chicken consisted of boiled chicken pieces with zero flavor and were so small they were nearly unnoticeable. The vegetables in the dish were carrot and celery shreds. These bits were few and far between and looked more like remnants stuck to the knife after chopping vegetables. The rice noddles were dry yet mushy, almost as if they’d sat in water too long before draining. There was no sauce. The dish was flavorless. Chicken with cashew nuts was all brown rice with three pieces of oddly shaped chicken. It was drowned in a reddish brown sauce which my friend couldn’t decide by taste if it was meant to be tomato or garlic sauce. It tasted like neither and was sickly sweet. The shrimp and vegetables dish contained mostly rice and carrots. The spring rolls were passable. Even though we ordered from the lunch menu I wouldn’t call this an inexpensive meal considering the quality of ingredients, the lack of protein in all dishes, and the inclusion of almost nothing but rice. Never again

Usually order from Six Happiness but came across this place. It’s a lot cheaper then Six Happiness so we ordered a bunch of dishes. Everything was good. Typical takeout was great and plenty of food for the price. I will say I love Six Happiness egg roles better as they are huge and homage but other then that the food taste the same for less of the price. Will def order back from here again!

Sometimes you just need a dose of MSG and cheap chinese food ought to fit the bill. There are tons of these hole-in-the-wall eateries in NYC and unfortunately, this one doesn’t measure up. This place is near my work and as such, I come here periodically, though not for much longer. The woman working the front counter is often rude and snarky, she drops items on the floor and doesn’t wash her hands, and the place itself is very dingy and beatup-looking. The food is ok, but often overcooked. Given that the menu here is identical to all other chinese takeouts, and that they’re located all over the city, I would recommend avoiding the headache of this place and just walk a few blocks down to another takeout joint. TL, DR: Attitude and cleanliness make this place worrisome. Do yourself a favor and find another nearby chinese takeout place for the same prices.

About every 5 years I get a hankering to shorten my life with a serving of General Tso’s. Having grown up in the middle of nowhere I thought that NYC would be a bit better than the versions I grew up with, but I found it bland and disappointing. However, they get an extra star for ambience, by which I mean by having the most surreally run-down, depressing retail space I’ve ever been in(And I have been in some scary places). It’s like a movie.

The lady at the front desk needs to get fire… she doesn’t have patient, and gives bitchy attitude. I asked for a soup, without even telling me they just open and soup wasn’t ready she walks away and does something else. When I asked if I can get my soup she throws me this bitch attitude with real bad English that they just open and that I gatta wait… bitch needs to be put in her place either that or she needs to get fire ASAP. The place itself looks dirty, and I agree with the other reviews that they do not wear gloves to make your food and in the past I had people telling me that they have seen them dropping food on the floor, picked it right back up and cook it without washing… for sure I won’t be going back there.

Went here once for wonton soup and it was very good. Returned to try the General Tso chicken since it was rated top by Grub Hub. Real disappointment — nothing good at all and some pieces of chicken were just overly fried/crunch and inedible. Chicken with broccoli was pretty terrible with a weird taste making it pretty much inedible. Soups were okay. Lunch specials are cheap. Service was beyond rude over the phone and no ‘thank you’ even when giving them extra money at the counter. Definitely have no idea how this place got top rating for that dish and don’t understand how people can be so rude to customers over the phone.

Best hunan chicken in NYC. Need I say more? Crappy service as the woman behind the counter seems to always be so stressed and rude but I go to hole-in-the-wall type of places for food, not service. If you want real Chinese, Hao Wei it is.

The Chinese lady that answers the phone needs to be fired. I ordered twice for pickup when I went both times it was not there. When I was there I heard someone else call in a order and she was mentally writing the whole order then 15 mins later came and put it in the system. I assume this is what she did to me but actually forgot to come back and put mine in. The place is pretty dirty looking lol. The guy does not wear gloves when he handles raw seafood and raw chicken. Nasty as fuck. I saw this and asked him to remake my shrimp. The whole time he was cooking he was wiping his sweaty forehead as well! The food itself wasn’t so bad. I would probably never get again. Only did because I work around the area and was desperate and my coworkers seem to like it. For those of you who get it delivered and then review I see why the reviews are high and fairly decent. But since I actually went and saw first hand how unsanitary this place is I’ll never be back. They have a B rating on the window. But the place is cheap and you get a lot for your money but fortunately for me, I care about my health more. Never going back. 2 stars because the food itself wasn’t bad even though I only ate 2 shrimp before throwing it out. The sauce was too droopy.(Kind of like jello)

Place, as has been mentioned, has massive portions, amazing deal for a 8 dollar special that has entrée, egg roll, and pork fried rice or white rice. I’ve had the general tso’s chicken now which is good — they use high quality meat, there’s a nice crispiness to it, sauce is good. Egg roll and spring rolls are… typical. Lo mein is… weirdly sweet. I also got the cream cheese things… I’m forgetting name now… that were… ok. Also oddly sweet. Not sure if someone in the kitchen has a sweet tooth but they are not shy about sugar! Will probably order from here again because it’s a good deal(this is my second time in two weeks) but will probably stray and start trying other Chinese places around the area. Food itself is probably 3.5 stars, cost to value ratio is more like 5 so let’s split the difference and go with four stars!

Do you know how much I like this place? I have it bookmarked for deliveries. Thats how much. By far the cheapest place that you can get midtown eastish for chinese fast food. Their lunch deals are just ridiculous. For under 6 bucks you can get rice, dish, soup. Seriously Anyways delivery is always fast, under 30 minutes. Delivery minimum is also only 8 dollars so you can order for 2 people… or you twice. Seriously its the best. And everytime i order they somehow throw in a coke can in there… just for fun i guess? I dont know its nice of them: D Food wise its typical. Nothing fancy nothing sucky. However, they did use pretty good rice. i was surprised! Fried chicken was also good, tasted home made. What not to expect? Gourmet chinese food. What to expect? The kind of chinese fast food you would expect for paying 6 bucks for a meal. Fast, oily, delicious, so bad for you that its great. 5 stars for it being what it is. I love it
