Hilton Garden Inn

I have to admit, I’ve never thought of a Hilton Garden Inn to be what we walked into last weekend. This lobby was really nice and the front desk workers were so friendly and quick getting us checked in. There were cookies and lemon water, which was another nice touch.
The location was on a quiet and quaint street in NY that felt like a neighborhood hotel. They even have many food options like pizza and Thai restaurants that will deliver right to the hotel lobby.
The standard guestroom was really small with only the bed being able to fit in the room with not much space to spare. But, the bathroom was really spacious and the shower was awesome.
Overall, I’d recommend this Hilton Garden Inn any day over the Hilton Midtown East that I’ve stayed at many times. It’s nicer, more professional, and cleaner.

Had a great stay here. It is pretty new so everything was awesome. Super comfy bed, nice bathroom, plenty of space and loved being across the street from the 6 Downtown. The gym is decent as well. I would definitely stay here again.

Thoroughly impressed, 4 star service for 2 star prices. Bathrooms are impeccable and modern, elevators are fast, and I was even allowed go check in at 1:30 pm. The hotel itself was uneventful — a good thing, and it was luxuriously suited for a hot date :)

We usually stay at this hotel while traveling for husbands work. Now we have a 3 month old baby and the only negative I have about is about the room size. These rooms are tiny and we have a bulky stroller that isn’t easily stored and out of the way in the room! Other than that I love this hotel. Nice location in midtown. Very nice staff and all our requests are accommodated like extra towels etc. Great front desk and bell staff and they offer complimentary water and iced tea and cookie bars in the afternoon in the lobby. Bathroom has a nice amount of counter space and a shower only. No tub. Small closet and entry way built in dresser. Desk with chair.

Excellent stay from check in to check out. New hotel with modern, clean rooms and bathrooms. Excellent location near subway and a large Walgreens (forgot my allergy meds). Most definitely will book a room there again.

The staff was great here. They would say hi, as I came in and bye as I left by name. The hotel itself is nice the lobby area is decided into 3 sections. There is a lounge area by the front. There is a middle action with a big table and all of the current newspapers available to read. Then across from the check in there is a 3 RD lounge. This lounge has a small waterfall and is relaxing. I noticed most of the people were in this lounge waiting.
There is a restaurant attached to the Hilton. You can access the restaurant through the hotel.
Just be aware at this Hilton. Your room key is needed for the elevator. Your room key will only take you to your floor! If you need to get to another floor besides your floor ask the front desk they have a master key to get you on.
The rooms are nice. Looks just like every other Hilton room. Modern style. The rooms were clean. They were also spacious for city standards.

I have to write an excellent review about my stay at Hilton Garden Inn Park Ave from 3÷18−3÷20. I honestly cannot say enough about the hotel staff. I had my bachelorette party stay here on ³⁄₁₉ a total of 15 women. It is in a great location close to mostly everything and great bars. The rooms were pretty good size for new york standards. The best part about the stay honestly was the hotel staff. Specifically Holly, Mo and Damien. They went above and beyond to help get everyone get situated and to make sure we were all set to enjoy our weekend. They even called us a limo to take us to our show as it would be cheaper than hauling cabs (pleasant surprise). We checked our luggage with them the next morning before heading out to brunch. I honestly cannot say enough good things about them. Thanks so much to the Hilton Garden Inn staff for making my weekend an even more memorable one. Kristen F.

Upscale, classy and classic style and more importantly, service. This is a busy neighborhood across New York industry and to have a business oriented, service and customer focused model and personal style is so welcome and appreciated. Staff and room and amenities are perfect.

Stayed here for work. Check in was quick and efficient even though I was checking in early. Being a Diamonds member, I was asked my points preference upon check-​in, which many times I am not asked.
I didn’t have the greatest room location — closest to the elevator and the ice machine — even though my HHonors profile says away from everything. I was on the 27^th Floor and I could not really hear the city traffic below, which I appreciate. The king room was typical size for the NYC hotel room. Desk and small lounge chair. Mini fridge, coffee machine, actual closet. The bathroom was actually kind of roomy — walk-​in shower and plenty of counter space to put things. Three towels were provided, which I appreciate, even though I did feel they were not as plush as other HGI properties. Hot water took a while to heat up in the morning. Bath amenities were Neutrogena products.
Elevators were prompt, the lobby also had complimentary newspapers in the morning. Paid Wi Fi unless you have HHonors status.
Great location to Grand Central train station. It was about a 10 minutes walk up Park Ave.

Amazing stay. Their sense of service and hospitality were unmatched. I haven’t been to NYC for over 25 years and this stay made me ONLY stay there when I come back. The front desk made me feel at home, answered all my questions and gave me ideas and directions on where to go. Can’t wait to come back and will definitely be staying with these folks again!

Going forward, this will be my preferred hotel for monthly business travel. Staff was extremely courteous, attentive, and professional. The room was immaculate, and the fitness center much better than anything else I’ve used in this area. I also love the snacks!
This location is steps away from the subway, Empire State, and Macy’s (for tourists).

Overall very friendly and personable staff. The room was fresh with nice finishes; however the bed was a bit saggy and dated but still relatively comfortable.
I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for business travelers. I was in NYC for an interview with a fortune 500 and my travel reservation was prepaid. When I checked in I provided my card for incidentals and when I woke up in the am saw that it had been charged for the full reservation.
So rather than having a zen morning getting in the zone for my interviews, I had to go back and forth with the a very unaccommodating manager who not only did not recognize the error on the hotels part, but proceeded to try to email me forms to administer with the third party travel agency. Overall it took about 3 hours that day to work through the administrative correction and get the charged released. In addition to 5 hours of interviews, this was a tough miserable situation to be put in due to the incompetent person who checked me in
The situation should have been handled at check in. If they saw the reservation confirmed by the travel company, they should have called them directly to close off if a piece of paperwork were missing rather than make an unauthorized substantial charge on my credit card. There was no apology or accommodation on behalf of management for upsetting me before an important interview and wasting my very limited time.
I asked for a quiet room but rather was placed in the front of the hotel, next to façade construction in a room where the toilet was running.
Lastly, they have a marketing kiosk for Hilton Rewards Membership right by the front door. The last thing I need after getting off a long flight is to be bombarded with in my face marketing, forms, etc.
Overall this was a huge miss and I cannot recommend for business travelers.

I booked a room for my partner at this hotel and have been embarrassed and regret-​filled ever since. This hotel does NOT live up to our expectations of a Hilton Garden Inn at all. Here’s a few highlights from her stay in August, you decide if you want to stay here:
–Upon arrival she noticed that the fridge in her room not only didn’t work but was spilling water onto the carpet. It was late so she asked the front desk to have someone address the problem in the morning, after 10:30 am (she’d arrived from the West Coast). Someone showed up from maintenance at 9 am the next morning — and entered the room without her letting him in!
–He fixed the fridge and left the carpet soaking wet (doesn’t bode well for the future mold/​mildew situation).
–The toilet was not firmly attached to the floor, the seal was broken.
–Not only was breakfast sup-​par for the brand, on the second day no one even offered her a glass of water. Zero service. This is unacceptable.
–We tried to communicate with the management about these issues and the response was to put 10,000 HHonors points back on my account. This is worth pretty much nothing. And did nothing for her!!!
There are plenty of great Hilton properties in New York — this just isn’t one of them.

In A Nutshell:
–This Hilton Garden Inn is in a perfect location. It’s close to everything you would want to check out in Manhattan.
–The price was about $ 275 /​night.
–The hotel had EXCELLENT customer service, very well air conditioned, very clean and had good in/​out flow and FREE Wi-​Fi.
–There is a coffee shop across the street, a laundromat a 1 ½ blocks down the road if you need to wash your clothes, there is a ⁷⁄₁₁ on the corner if you need to stock up on water, etc…
–The street is also a one-​way street so you only get ½ of the traffic and there was barely any traffic on the street.
–If you use Über (like I did), then they have no problem finding you (pick up/​drop off).
Overall, I will definitely stay here again the next time I’m in town. Highly recommended.

Really liked my stay here. Some important stuff–
— Rooms were clean and seemed very new /​updated
— Customer service was great, asked for a good view and the rep put us on the top floor corner room, which didn’t disappoint
— Free wifi for Hilton honors members
— Close to subways and lots of places to eat on Park Ave
— Right down the street from the Empire State building (though not visible from rooms)
— Rooms are small, but space is well managed
Really good option for the area /​price. Feels very new and well taken care of. I would def stay here again.

Location was pretty easy to find and a short cab ride away from my bus arrival area near the Javits center. This hotel was located extremely close to park Avenue where we had a business meeting planned. The hotel seemed close to everything. I saw a subway station maybe a block away on the ride over. Several nice restaurants within walking distance as well.
The staff was very friendly from the time I walked in the door. Check in was quick and easy. The guy at the front desk made sure to tell me how to connect to the free WiFi while I was walked to the elevator. I felt very welcome.
The room was very nice. The A/​C was already on and at a great temperature as it was a little humid outside. The bed was very comfortable. The room’s décor was nice. I really loved the bathroom from the lighting to the design. It was a smaller bathroom but wasn’t cramped. One side of the lights in the bathroom was out, which I noticed after a very late dinner. I’m sure the staff would have taken care if it but I was too tired at that point.
I would definitely stay again. The rooms are on the pricier side but I’m sure our company got a great package deal.

A great option in a very central part of NYC.
Easy access to a number of subway lines, walking distance to almost all destinations.
PROS: Helpful staff, great location, free granola bars/​cookies & fruit-​infused water downstairs, really nice bathrooms, great housekeeping, roomservice comes from the restaurant nextdoor which is much nicer than usual room service. Free wifi for Hilton Honors members.
CONS: Really small rooms (but that’s NYC for you)

I am impressed by, not only the friendly staff at the Hilton Garden Inn, but the rooms are very nice. The windows make the room very quiet, so you don’t hear much action from the streets, if at all. I like the contemporary design in the rooms.
I definitely recommend this Hilton Garden Inn if you need a room in Midtown.

Clean hotel. MOSTLY friendly staff. Had a jerk, one morning, try to be condescending about subway location. Though I am not from NY, he knew EXACTLY what I was asking, but decided to make it «desk joke» about what I was asking with is other co-​workers who participated. TOTALLY unprofessional in my eyes… to the point, that though this is a great location, I would choose not to stay at this location again.
I will say that this hotel is pricier than other Hiltons in NY and even for the location, not worth what I had to pay.
Was able to choose my room due to being a Hilton Honors member, so that was a plus for me. Clean hotel and rooms are pretty quiet. Housekeeping did a decent job of cleaning the rooms every day.

Loved our stay! I’ve been a Hilton member for a few years, and the service we received at this Garden Inn was some of the best I’ve experienced. My boyfriend and I checked in for New Year’s Eve.
Richard, the director, went out of his way to be accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed. Unbeknownst to me, he was very helpful in planning a surprise with my boyfriend, arranging for flowers and champagne to be in the room prior to our arrival.
The rooms are well appointed, as is the lobby. The entire experience was memorable. I will absolutely return, and encourage anyone in midtown to stay here!
